《Transported into another world with a parallel-version of myself》Chapter 4

Bright light entered my pupils, causing my eyebrows to forcefully form a ridge. Following that, a strong gust of wind shook the window, making its way into this room while making a small rattling sound. It struck my face swiftly and travelled down throughout my entire body. Eventually, my body also began to warm up because of the exposure to the light.
It was so sudden that I almost forgot to breathe, but when I accidentally inhaled the air, never in my life have I ever tasted air this good.
*exhales*
It's as if my entire body was being rejuvenated at that very moment. However, there was something more important than this, a plain green landscape appeared outside the window. Numerous houses appeared which looked medieval and were built on top of the grassy land. Beyond that was the horizon which was filled with forests in addition to the tiny mountains in the background.
This scene, of course, reminded me of multiple isekai world's I've watched before. Almost all of them were set in a medieval setting so this world probably was the same. Analyzing the houses in the landscape, it didn't seem any residents or anyone at all lived in them. Most of them are destroyed and rundown and they weren't any marks on the ground which signalled any recent or signs of life. In fact, most of the grasses were coiling around the houses which probably meant this village was abandoned or destroyed a long time ago.
Deciding that there weren't anything else to see, my hands shut the window closed, stopping any wind and light to enter the room. As a result, the room became quite cold, but I paid no attention it.
A thought surfaced to my head, is this house also destroyed? But, when I looked at the entire room once again, no marks or any sign of damage were visible to the naked eye. My bed also seemed clean. Is someone living in this house? Now that I think about it, why did I wake up in this room in the first place? I was stuck in that dark room which felt like it lasted for hours. How did I get transported here? Then it clicked.

The bed. The stone bed was in the middle of that room and I lied down on it. Was that a teleport device and this room was its destination? That was the only solution I came up with. Even if I tried to, all of them seemed ridiculous but this is an isekai, so anything might be possible in this world. Could a goddess might have brought me here? But why didn't she bother showing herself to me like in other isekai's?
Just why am I here? My head started aching. My hand touched the back of my head to massage that painful spot.
There was nothing I could do but to move forward. I won't be able to figure out anything at all if I were to think without knowing this world precisely.
The first step is to leave this room and then find a civilization or something like that right? I'm sure of it.
Convinced by my own reasoning, I took the first step of exploring this world.

The Hopeful Project
A pair of twins stumble their way into the world of blood magic, lizard people, and cultivation powered mecha-armor. And by stumble, I mean one of them falls on their face while the other laughs. [Writathon Participant] People read this far? What are you doing down here? Escape! The chapter buttons are over there, stop reading this. No? Fine. This book is an excuse to put a world I spent around 3-4 months of my life building over the pandemic into writing. I was planning on doing the writathon last year, but somehow managed to confuse October and November. Dont laugh, I'm already ashamed enough. This book is about a pair of twins, doing twin things: calling each other names, going to school, learning how to use their blood to become unstoppable, juggernaut, killing machines... You know, twin stuff. It's like if someone stuffed a school arc inside of a tournament arc inside of a war arc. A good time, basically. I hope you enjoy it.

Meet Corn, a slave who has no memory of most of his past and doesn’t know how most of the world functions. This doesn’t stop him from escaping the bonds of slavery by risking his life on a gamble. After all, he would risk everything for freedom and the right to be a mage. But how’s a scrub to learn Magic and get power? Why, join the magical under belly of the city, of course. And eat all the mana that he can get. Two Disclaimers: 1) This is a work of fiction. Any characters, places, organisations and everything else in this novel are fictional. Any resemblance between anything in this novel and the plane of reality we live in is purely coincidental. Was that a bit over the top and a wee bit unnecessary? Maybe. 2) This story features an antihero with a slight hint of villainy. So, sooner or later, it’s going to get dark. Very dark. Hence all the tags. If you are prone to be squeamish, this might not be for you. Well. You were warned. ;)
