《Flame-Eyed Immortal》Chapter 40

After Owen finally managed to greet every individual who came to thank him, he was suddenly so exhausted he just wanted to see and it was only just after the sun reached its highest peak. But luckily everyone who wished to get to know Owen better seemed to noticed that he was getting tired. All of the Pathwalkers, found that Owen was too respectful to deny any of their conversations so they decided to slowly back off on their own. Although Owen didn’t greet everyone as some people were definitely not impressed with his method, because they were the ones who didn’t become Sinners to begin with.
However, it didn’t change that Owen managed to successfully save the majority of the people with a result that only came with a few bruises and broken bones. After receiving pills from the Pavilion it was hard not to heal after one days time. Even if they didn’t the Pathwalkers would be sore at more. With this reasoning alone it became hard to hate Owen for his actions. With that Owen finally left the dining room, he wanted to somehow apologize to Rauf for making him younger.

“Ah…… so now what?”
Kovinth hinted that none of this was any of his concern. While it was true that the White Tiger was the one in charge, it was because of Kovinth’s disciple that everything became such a mess. This left a bitter taste in the White Tiger’s mouth but he didn’t dare to try and wash it away. If he said anything, although the Sun Dragon, was usually calm his mood swings were something known throughout the universe. On the other hand stood his superiors who was in love with the Sun Dragon as well. The Lunar Wolf’s chasing was also known throughout the universe. Thinking about the two complications together the White Tiger started to rub his temples relentlessly.

On the other hand the Rebirth snake was smiling, as she continued to remember how interesting the situation made for his lazy disciple. Naturally the younger Rauf continued to get the more serious he would get about training diligently. Most Pathwalkers would think of this as a major problem to get continuously younger. However this didn’t apply to those who trained the way of the Shedding Skin Rebirth technique. Right now, Rauf was on his final shedding stage. When he shedded once more he would move from Low Opal to Intermediate Opal.
There were many strange Path techniques out there but it could be said that the Shedding Skin Rebirth was one of the most strange. One would get younger and continuously get weaker as they got younger. But upon reaching the youngest stage they would get an explosive boost in power returning to their original body. Only Rauf didn’t know about this. The Rebirth Snake didn’t wish to tell him because if he found out on his own, he would fix his own ways himself. As the Rebirth Snake naturally knew about Rauf’s personality she didn’t try and encourage him at all.
Meanwhile Osena, was trying to feed Kovinth with a fork stabbed into a piece of meat. Kovinth wanted to deny it, but it was meat. Meat for a dragon was irresistible and because of this one fact alone he moved so fast, chomping on the piece of meat and returned to his previous position, pretending nothing happened. He would even make a slightly shocked face at the disappearance of the meat and shrug. Osena delighted, would grab another piece of meat and repeat. This type of joy she could endlessly repeat.
‘You ask what we are going to do. Then you all ignore the problem only because you want me to deal with it.’

The White tiger inwardly cursed with nowhere to relieve this stress he could only yell at a few subordinates to come over. Iohanne and Alesia then walked over hearing the calls of their Lord.
“We Greet the Lords.”
Iohanne spoke then bowed at the same time as Alesia. The White Tiger only nodded while the others were too busy in their own worlds. The White Tiger then spoke out loudly.
“Prepare the Wave Lake.”
Although everyone in the room was momentarily shocked, thinking of the previous results of the Desire test, it could only move to the Test of Will. Although this test was usually further down the line it definitely had the highest drop rate out of the tests. But maybe it was because Kovinth and the Rebirth Snake had full confidence in their disciples their shock soon turned to shrugs.
Alesia and Iohanne nodded, even if they were shocked as well they were only the Keepers. They would follow orders even at the cost of their lives, after all when one becomes a Keeper, to gain something they must give something up.
-------------------------
Later Owen found Rauf kicking a trunk of a tree that was surprisingly inside the Pavilion. Although the outside didn’t look very large, it was in fact many times larger inside. It was something Owen wanted to ponder about for awhile but he was too busy with the sudden non-stop developments. After Owen calmed Rauf down by patting the tree again to make him feel guilty, they started to talk about pointless stuff and what they thought the next test was going to be.
During this, although Rauf and Owen, had no idea there was a figure watching them. But this figure was transparent and only if one looked very carefully would they be able to tell there was a distortion in the space. This figure continued to watch over Rauf and Owen with curiosity.
