V3 Chapter 71
Regina fell silent as she was pulled into the arms of his master, and she allowed her arms to stretch about her master’s shoulders as he did so.
“But I—"
Cian gently pressed his finger on her soft lips, momentarily sealing her ability to speak. He smiled at her. An adult smile staring at a hopeless, but an adorable child.
“Regina, you’ve done your best, and I know of it. And I’m thankful for all that you’ve done for me… burden or not, you will never be one in my eyes. You are important to me, something I wanted always on my side. And so I can’t afford to lose you now,”
While saying so, he placed a faint kiss on her forehead and then her lips. His actions caused Regina’s face to turn a tender pink, her heart began to beat much faster.
“I won’t… I will always be yours, master,”
Regina muttered with a muffled moan. And she was not just saying it. Though she doesn’t know when it started, she truly can’t imagine a life without him anymore. No matter what he is, nor who he truly was, to her, there’s no more important thing in this world than being able to stand beside him. Of course, she had to admit that she is also curious, but his identity bears little significance in her heart.
This mysterious werebeast was clearly a creature of great mystery, but then...with all the people that she had known up until now, she knew she was hardly free of the sin of secrecy.
Besides…
Even if he becomes the enemy of the world, she is prepared to lay her life and protect him from the world itself. That was her conviction ever since she had chosen his side.
“And I know, and I’m very happy that you feel the same way I do for you. However, my true face might cause some misunderstandings- issues that can change everything in an instant. And I know, neither you and I are still prepared to accept it…so please, Regina gives me time. I will surely reveal everything to you when the time comes,”
He smiled softly, every word is loud and clear, resolute and decisive, pure and unquestionable.
Regina stared at him for a moment before finally nodding her head. She found no option nor defiance either. Seeing her obedient response, Cian grinned happily and suddenly he kissed her soft lips. He then savored the sweet fragrance of her lips.
She responded happily.
Her Master was ever so handsome and regal, strong and glamorous, how could he thought that she would ever hate him for something?
No, it would never happen. No matter what it is. No matter who he is. To her, he will always be her Master.
Though, she wanted to tell that to him. To reassure him. But no matter how many times she tried to explain it to him, it didn't sink in. Can't be blamed, for the time they spent is still too little. And she understands that. And she hopes for the day to come when her love finally reached him.
Regina replied with equal passion. And as their mouths moved close together, she could feel a bit of excitement rush through her. To think that of all the horrors she had fled from her past life that she would wind up in the intimate embrace of this bizarre, almost monstrous werebeast...it was only slightly stranger than the knowledge that she genuinely didn’t mind.
Her eyes were closed, and as tongues unfolded to sweep against one another she quivered in a deeper, hotter burning heat. But the passionate kiss didn’t last long, as a loud explosion occurred just beside them, the Wind Wolf King had launched a blasting wind, which Amadea had blocked with her powers.

Amadea, however, was knocked back. Finally realizing the power of their opponent was much, much higher than she expected.
Was Cian fighting this kind of Monster all this time?
She felt that even a single blow from the Wolf King would mean her end.
How terrifying.
“Go, Regina, and don’t look back,”
Cian squeezed his forehead tighter to Regina’s and slipped his hands into those long tresses of red hair, hanging to her with a quiet whisper quaking from his throat.
“I will surely return, just believe in me,”
“...I’ll wait,”
Regina bit her lips and uttered a sob one last time before she turned around. Her shoulders trembled, still, she didn’t turn back, as she felt that if she would, she can never get herself to leave.
“Please be safe, Master,” she said with a clear sobbed as she faced her back on him.
“Ah, I will,”
Regina's body quivered, still, she jumped into the air, and disappeared.
“Is this okay?”
Amadea slowly materializes beside him and ask. Her dress somewhat torn and disheveled after blocking one attack from the Wolf King.
“It’s not yet the time for her to know,”
Cian’s expression turned solemn, and his eyes narrowed dangerously. Completely different from the gentle visage he took in front of Regina.
“She might accept it,”
“Perhaps… but if not, I might need to kill her. See, the risk is too high,”
“... …”
“The time we spent is still not enough to change her mind. The belief of demons being evil, and the enemy of the world, in this land is too deep. And the hatred is too big.”
That’s what he had learned after associating with Asceius and Iris.
Both the humans and the Werebeasts have a deep-seated hatred against Demons.
The hatred they felt for the demons was far stronger than the dislike they felt from each other. And so, if Regina knows who he is and if she cannot accept him, then there’s no other choice but to kill her. And it's something he wanted to avoid at all costs.
“...you’ve grown deeply attached to her,”
Amadea giggled. As she knows that this was also Cian’s way of protecting Regina- protecting her from himself.
“And so is you, my dear Amadea,”
Cian stared at her with a wry smile.
Amadea grinned, not denying it.
However-
“But not as much as I feel for you, Cian. Indeed, I’m fond of her, quite like her personally. But if you wills it, Cian, I can kill her without hesitation,”
Her expression turned dark, and her eyes narrowed into a dangerous slit. She doesn't seem to be joking, no, she didn't. If Cian gave him the word, she would certainly not hesitate to raise her hand against the adorable slave.
“That’s why I love you so much,”
Can stare at her with love-laded eyes. But then, he felt danger, and without hesitation, he unfurled his wings and flew in the air. Amadea as well, submerged in the ground, a second before the area exploded.
The giant wind wolf king crashed with a thunderous bang.
The Wind Wolf King growled, but the enemy he wanted to kill by all means was nowhere in sight. Then, the beast felt a presence in the air.
The Wind Wolf King saw his enemy suspended in the air and let out a loud, piercing roar that seemed capable of shaking the heavens.
“You howl too much,”
Cian snorted, and he spread his arms. Lightning pulses around him, as his expression turned equally fierce. The Wind Wolf King found his target, immediately run in the air, yes, it was flying while running in the air.

[Wind Walk], it was a high-level wind magic spell, and it was no wonder the Wind Wolf King knows of it.
Roots and vines shot out, coiling around the beast, and some even tried to stab it. Enraged, the Wind Wolf King’s green eyes gleamed, and its strong gust of wind immediately revolved around its body, so sharp it cuts the vines and roots that tried to restrict it. Then, without hesitation, flew in the air.
With his arms clad with lighting, Cian flapped his wings and flew towards the Wind Wolf King. He shot lightning bolts followed by fire spears that exploded into contact. However, the beast was proven faster than magic and was able to dodge most attacks.
A column of wind blasted in his direction.
Cian immediately somersaulted, dodging. However, the powerful wind still hit him- like an invisible sickle, tearing his clothes.
Cian grunted, annoyed by how hard the beast’s body was. Not even lightning bolts can actually hurt it. Suddenly, something flashed at the corner of his eyes, and without hesitation, he jumped back.
However, it’s too late, the beast was upon him, snarling with its dagger-like fangs.
“Grrrr!” he growled back in defiance, and knowing he couldn’t dodge, met the beast head-on.
His eyes turned red, and his face slowly changed, expanding, and grey-colored fine hair started appearing, like a fur.
Within him, he felt the pain of his bones snapping, and reforming constantly, his body expanding with an incredible rate.
The Wind Wolf King’s sharp claws grabbed his shoulder, sharp nails that look like curved daggers pierced through his iron-hardened skin, and he grimaced. But before they could dig further his flesh, his muscles suddenly expanded, his back hunched and-
The claws bounced back.
The sharp claws were not able to penetrate further as if Cian’s body was made of rubber.
"Now, it's my turn!"
Cian’s entire body had turned into a giant furry creature and pounced at the wind wolf king.
A Giat Wolf and a Giant Fox started wrestling as they fall to the ground.
The Wind Wolf King was shocked by Cian’s transformation, still, it continued to bare its fangs and bit his neck.
Cian fought back and bit the wolf’s left front leg, and clawed on its belly. Two beasts wrestling. They rolled on the ground, fighting fiercely.
Cian opened his mouth, and flames came out.
The Wind Wolf King was hit, and his fur burned, still, the explosion caught Cian as well, and they were knocked back from each other.
With a painful grunt, he rolled on the ground, skipping like a stone that was thrown to skip into the surface of a lake.
He growled in anger, annoyance, pain, but he gritted his teeth and slowly stand up. He can hear Amadea’s anxious voice, but he couldn’t care about her for now. His glare fixed at the wolf that was slowly standing as well.
Their eyes met.
Cian’s mouth opened, displaying a maniacal grin baring white fangs, and his eyes still glimmered as if he... yes, as if he was enjoying it.
Blood speed through his wounds and he was limping but he didn’t care.
“Was my blood tasty?”
He muttered with a grin of contempt.
The area around them was devastated completely as if a storm had ransacked the place.
Debris and corpses of beasts littered on the ground.
Grrrr-!!
The Wind Wolf King couldn’t help but let out a low growl and its pair of eyes narrowed into a slit. Apart from hatred and raging anger, confusion could actually be seen on its pair of human-like eyes.
The beast suddenly discovered that even with his dozen of hundred years of life, it was still unable to understand the werebeast in front of it. He spat out of blood, feeling a tingling numbness on his throat.
The Wind Wolf King grunted.
Poison.
What kind of blood does he have?
The beast was feeling a little numb, but his vitality is much stronger than most monsters in this world, and with a loud howl, his body gleamed brightly. An azure-colored mist slowly covered his figure, and the beast king felt the numbness weakening. Still, he was not yet safe from the poison.
Kill!
Kill this werebeast as fast as possible!
Through his skill, Cian can hear the raging murder within the beast’s mind, and he chuckled in amusement. Ordinary poison would not have worked against it. But his poison was not ordinary!
The corroding effect of his strengthened poison blood can even kill a beast king like him.
Drinking his blood is the worst move the beast had made.
Cian and the Wind Wolf King stared at each other.
Cracked!
His bones snapped, and Cian felt the excruciating pain as his body slowly reverted into his original form. Though his Fox form was strong, he was not used to fighting like a beast. And in that form, several of his skills were locked, and so it’s still best for him to fight in the form he was used to.
His clothes have disappeared, revealing his naked body. Probably torn apart during his transformation. But fortunately, his rings had not.
Well, in the first place, his rings are magical that it can change its size depending on the wearer. So it must have also morphed alongside his transformation and remained intact.
But this is not the time to care about it.
[Imagis Realis] slowly flowed toward his hand like black sludge, slowly turning into a sharp-looking black dagger.
Cian clenched his grip on the blade.
“You are mine, Wolf King,”
Cian held his blade upside down in his hand as he crouched lower, placing his other hand on the ground. His red eyes gleamed, and the serpentine-like slit pupils dilated even sharper.
His oversized fox ears stood tall and erect, the left ear twitching. A pair of canine at the corner of his mouth started to grow, sharp, and long, and he emitted a low growl.
"I'll devour you!"
He was once again transforming. However, this time, his transformation was somewhat different from before. He was not turning into a giant furry beast, instead, into a more demonic beast.
Betting everything to have an opponent that you couldn't win against.
How do you feel?
Facing against such an opponent, how do you yield? How do you win? How do you beat them down?
Cian let out a manic grin, as his murderous aura exploded.
I will beat them down, and beat them down and beat down until they surrender!
The Wind Wolf King seemed to felt something, and he retreated a step back, staring at the weird foxman in front of him.
The atmosphere in the air seemed to have become tenser like a raging storm was about to come.
I am neither demon nor a beast, of course, not a human either.
But I am all of them.
I don’t have any intention of choosing one.
I am everything, I am anything.
Cian felt his transformation. Before coming here, his demonic transformation took almost an instant. But now, with his new powers, his demonic transformation seemed to have been enhanced further, and the transformation also becomes longer.
Holding possibilities that were unimaginable by humans, wielding power that is unreachable by demons, and possessing greed and lust more than a beast.
This is the rhapsody of a lone Demon Prince.
A massive explosion of aura occured. The thick dark clouds in the dark night sky rumbled, and an oppresive pressure came back down. Rumble! Crackle! Baaaaang!! Lightning bolts struck from the clouds and the thunderous claps sounded like a raging beasts.
Wind blew like a storm.
"I'll devour you! Eat you! And leave nothing behind! Your powers and your everything are MINE!"
And Cian's body started to be cover by black mist.
