V3 Chapter 26
[Skill [Plunder] has been upgraded to Unique Skill: [Loot] after the host had successfully achieved the necessary requirements for the Skill Evolution. Now, you can steal skills easier than before. Bonus Effect: A high chance of stealing Unique or Divine Tier Skills from eaten targets. With the upgrading effects of the skill, the skill can now also be triggered just by touching the target, though the chances of success depend on the duration of the connection. In addition, triggering it by touching also reduced the chances of stealing skills more than through the consumption method.]
Requirements? What Requirements?
[Requirements for upgrading the Skill [Plunder] to Unique Skill [Loot] consists of achieving high mastery of the skill, Blood of higher existence- preferably that of an Ancestral Monster, and successfully stolen two or more Unique or above tier skill. All of the requirements above have been successfully achieved.]
Hmmm, so something like this also exists.
Cian stared at the prompt windows floating in front of his eyes, surprised. The skill [Loot], huh. From that simple description just now, it was easy to say that it’s indeed an improved version of [Plunder]. Though, it still came as a surprise even to him that skills can still be upgraded. He had never heard of someone able to make their skills evolve.
Furthermore, the skill [Plunder] was an ability he had obtained from the Chimera.
To think it would still evolve, no, perhaps, [Plunder] is not the Chimera’s exact skill, but an inferior version of it?
A Lv1 or something like skill?
Then, perhaps, all the skill I had obtained through the [Plunder] skill as well, has some hidden attribute that enables one to evolve into an improved version of the skill?
No, I don’t think that’s right.
Was it because they are skills of the Chimera monster?
Or does it only happens to a selective few?
Though, there’s also the possibility of it being his true identity as a transmigrator’s hidden effect.
Man, moments like this made me want to return to those people's side. Perhaps, they know more than me about these kinds of things.
But he knows it's not the time yet. Their meeting can only be left the moment everything had come into place.
Nevertheless, It's quite unfortunate. It's not the skill I wanted.
If otherwise, it would have been even more amazing. Cian could become even much more stronger that he is now--becoming a semi-immortal would solve anything, and could give him more assurance in battle. Though he doesn't fear Death, still, the side effect of Ressurection is serious.
He can avoid death much more easily than before. After all, that skill: [Instant Regeneration] skill, can be considered the very pinnacle of all healing-type ability. It can heal any wound. As long as he has mana, he can recover any wounds or injuries in an instant. It truly is an important factor or ingredient if one wanted to become all-powerful in the future!

Well, though it was a bit disappointing that he was not able to obtain it, but the skills he had obtained from the JaggerJaw doesn’t seem to be bad either, which made Cian somewhat satisfied with the result.
“Well, for now, I need to know more about this skill to use it more efficiently,”
But these notifications appearing in thin air, like words floating, are not that flexible. If only they can at least show the description of the skill it would have been much better.
I guess that kind of fantasy-like feature would only appear in fiction and fantasy novels.
[Magic Eye] only activates on external targets. Though it's similar to an [Appraisal-type] Skill, however, they completely differed from each other. [Magic Eye] focused on the aspect of magic, reading and analyzing their design and format, making him able to copy it.
Able to see some of the target's information was only a bonus ability. But it's not impossible, however. In fact, he can also appraise himself using his reflection in the mirror. But it only displays basic information. In addition, a prerequisite to invoking it successfully is that he must have some detailed information on the target beforehand or have observed the target for a longer time. Which, either can't be possible during sudden battles.
With a disappointed sigh, Cian once rubbed his ring and a small stone tablet materialize in his hand. Status Tablet. It can display his status, and also find out what kind of abilities or skills he has. It can easily be controlled using the mind, so even with its rarity, it’s treated as a precious item.
The method of creating a Status Tablet is unknown in the current generation.
It's one of the Lost Technology, apparently.
This kind of thing can now only be obtained through Dungeons and Ruins. So it’s not something an ordinary person could obtain. In fact, even a noble would not necessarily have it either.
From what he knows, even in other Kingdoms or Empire, including the Human World, only the Church, and the Royal Family is said to be the people allowed to possess it.
Well, for one thing, whether it’s precious or not, Cian has two or more of it inside his ring anyway. As for why Sitana stored a lot of them inside, even the demon prince didn’t know. More like, whatever is going on in that mind of hers, he couldn’t understand. Perhaps, no one could. Though, Cian could only see it as that absurd woman spoiling Aanuel rotten. Not like he's complaining.
As he channeled magic power on the Status Tablet, words started to appear on the flat surface:

[Loot- (Unique)] - a higher version of the Rare-Tier skill [Plunder]. Compared to the [Plunder] skill that can be triggered only by devouring the target, can now also be activated by touch. Furthermore, not only skills can be stolen, but with [Loot] ability, anything can be stolen as well. From physical: Money, item, to intangible such as skills, energy, or strength, weakening them while gaining more power. However, triggering by touch rather than consumption reduce the chance of success.
[Chimera (Rare)]- An ability to fuse genetically with another species consumed by the user. It allows one to be able to shift between several or any species one had acquired. In addition, it also allows the user to synthesize abilities from the ones the user currently has. In addition, using the original Chimera Trait, the user can combine them into new abilities with the cost of losing the original ability or transfer the abilities into objects.
[Chimera Creation (Unique)]- a unique tier skill that can only be used by a Chimera who obtained the Blood of a Higher Being, causing it to transcend into a higher being itself. It has the ability to create chimera soldiers basing on the monsters and creatures eaten by the user. However, the power only retains at most 30 percent of the original creature. Summoned chimeras without materials can only stay in the mortal plane at most an hour or so unless the user creates them through physical materials. When physical materials are provided, the created chimera’s abilities and form will come out randomly and will be based on the stronger monster materials.
[Chimera’s Heart- (Unique-Passive)]- the Chimera is an amalgamation of monsters-a forbidden taboo that heaven declared should never exist. Its roar could shake the heavens, and its step can destroy the world. Its heart covers monstrosity itself. Possessing its heart, all chimera-type skills will be strengthened significantly, and able to release an innate aura of intimidation against all monsters. With the Chimera’s heart, the user can now slowly awaken traits and skills unique to only the Chimera.
"Ho?"
Not only his skill upgraded, but he was also able to obtain other incredible skills.
[Chimera’s Heart]?
Cian wondered if his heart had become that of a chimera, though, a demon who has a blood of an elf and a monster, as well as the soul of a human, was having a chimera’s heart amazing?
He's becoming a very complicated existence.
Well, he was already an amalgamation, in the first place.
A being consisted of different races.
Becoming a Chimera is not an impossible thing.
Nevertheless, the new abilities made him obtained more amazing power than he had expected. Though he was disappointed that he had not obtained what he was looking for- he's already satisfiede with the outcome. Aside from his Chimeric abilities, he had also gained more useful skills from the JaggerJaw as well.
[Hollow Bone]- A skill that enables the user’s bones to become hollow, making them lighter, faster, and more agile as a result.
[Skin Hardening]- A skill that enables the user to harden their skin increasing the user’s defensive and offensive capabilities.
[Hollow Bone] and [Skin Hardening] are good enhancing skills. It can be seen clearly by how strong the JaggerJaw is. Perhaps, it still has some incredible skills in his arsenal, but it was easy to say that these two are the main ones. Especially the skill [Hollow Bone] which the monster had used possibly to increase its speed and agility to rival his, despite its massive build. And also the [Skin Hardening], which made its carapace as hard as metal.
And lastly, the [Extraskeletal Manipulation]. Just hearing these words made one understands the importance of the skill. This skill could become a hidden trump card to be used in important situations.
[Extraskeletal Manipulation]- A skill that gives its wielder the ability to manipulate their own bones and skeletal structure. It can also hardens the user’s own bones and protrudes them out of the skin, and even launch them as weaponized projectiles from any parts of the body.
I can definitely use this, Cian grinned, clenching his hand. Suddenly, from which his arm, successive sounds of crackling rang out. These sounds had come from the bones found in his arms. They suddenly moved, joints clashing, and he felt a stinging pain assaulting him. Though it was not to the point of being called excruciating, it was still painful.
Cian can even feel the movements of his bones, extending, and scraping against his flesh.
"...But this is just the beginning. I can also discharge my bones, which is far more useful."
Sharp bones came out from the center of his palm. He then aimed his palm at a nearby tree, and the sharp bone came out flying, stabbing through it. The bleached bones were so sharp it penetrated the tree deeply. If it was flesh and bones, just how deadly it could become?
Much better, I can use them like hidden weapons...

Summoner's Journey
[Before you read - the story is officially dead. The reasons behind it are posted in the last chapter.] In a magic world on the verge of an industrial revolution, Ari Ragnarsson must uncover the truth behind his parents' disappearance. They were part of an organization known as the Order, which protects mankind from various threats - both human and supernatural. Now, after Ari's brands finally manifest, he leaves the safety of his village and travels to the continent. Strength is all that matters in this world and he must learn how to control his powers. There, he meets a man from another world, who's being hunted for merely existing. Their fates become intertwined, but not in a way either of them would appreciate. Author's note (contains minor non-story related spoilers about the MC and setting) This is a progression fantasy with LITRPG elements sprinkled on top. The main character is not a spellsword, but a summoner/support mage hybrid. Since he wasn't ambushed by a random god, there's no cheat item/spell and he has to rely on his skills and wits to survive in a world full of monsters. The story tries to show the moment when the old starts to be replaced by the new, with a healthy dose of magic and a little steampunk in the background. Also, it revolves around a party dynamic akin to RPG sessions. No health/mana bars. Numbers are secondary and the LITRPG elements focus more on classes/spells/runes and their evolutions. Tables are sparse at the beginning, but from chapter 7 onwards they appear more often. Still, I won't be copy-pasting the whole character sheet dozens of times per chapter.
