V2 Chapter 73
Receiving the report of the betrayal, Sibylla hurriedly stationed several of her people to intercept any kind of news that wants to enter the palace.
With her position and status, she was able to do it much easier than she had expected. Hence, while only wearing a wry smile on her beautiful face, she was quite busy for the past few months dealing with all kind of things. Of course, it didn’t stop there. There were also many problems appearing here and there, and Sibylla attempted to solve them as well in the shadows, though much to her surprise, most of them were easily solved by Cian first, making her wonder if ever her actions were even necessary.
Cian’s underground group bloomed in these past few months and his business developed under his care.
During this time as well, Cian also didn’t disregard his own image. He was still going out every few days to be prodigal. Going to brothels to play and spent money like water. Although he didn’t want his smelly reputation, he has no choice but to hold on to it....for the time being.
Originally, the Second Demon Prince was prohibited from going out by Oriel, but later on, the latter decided to just let him go out and not stop him anymore. The reason for suddenly letting the Second Demon Prince leave was not because Oriel had suddenly became convinced to let him go, but it was instead that she had no choice.
Cian can bypass any kind of guards whenever he wanted by using unknown means. Stopping him is already futile. Though reluctant, Oriel had already given up on him. And just tightened the security within the entire City and send many elite guards to protect him in the shadows. She would never let the mistake from before happening again!
The only thing she was assured was that, during this time, whether it was the human knight or the mysterious organization [Garden of Eden], not a bit of news appeared about them. It's as if they had vanished in thin air. Well, Oriel didn't really like to care about them. As long as they didn't make too much trouble in her City or touch his brother, she wouldn't even think about them at all.
In addition, to Oriel's peace of mind, she had learned that whenever Cian went into Brothels, he would not do anything other than flirting. As for why... Oriel didn’t know nor she was interested in it. As he was like this since he was very young, Oriel didn’t think too much about it.
All that matters for her is that, whenever Cian came back from there, if he was not with his servant, he would be looking for her to spend some quality time together, which she was happy to oblige.
Their relationship had become even more intimate and loving as time passed by.
Time quickly flowed and with a glance, two years had already passed.
… …
"How's my dear servant?"
Blue Bird was feeling bored in the garden. She reached out her hand and a bird flew into her palm. If one took a closer look, he or she would realize that the bird was frantically flapping its wings and trying its best to escape from the beautiful woman’s palm. And yet, despite all its effort, it still remained in the beautiful woman’s palm.

"I heard that he was still playing, as usual, going to the Heart Pleasuring Pavilion almost twice a week.”
A beautiful girl with an appearance around 14 to 15 years of age answered respectfully.
Blue Bird brought the bird to her face and stared at its tiny eyes. The bird's eyes immediately filled with fear and panic.
Her lips curled into a smile, though as to what she was thinking, no one knows, not even the young girl behind her.
“Oh,” with a simple response, she dully raised her hand and let the bird free.
“He sure works hard,”
“…??”
The young girl’s brows furrowed as she didn’t understand what her master meant by her words.
Works Hard? Works hard from what? To her, the Second Prince was still acting the usual. How the hell is he working hard?
Working hard on being prodigal?
Or working hard on chasing women all day long...?
“What about the Adam’s Company?"
“Master, we had already done our best but just like you said, the Adam’s Company is indeed as if born out of nowhere. What’s even stranger was that no one knows who the real leader was and when we tried to capture some people of theirs-- after they talk for a moment, they started to cough up blood and die. Wicked and so cruel, I fear most members of the Company are under a terrible curse!” The young girl bit her lips in frustration.
First time in her life, she was not able to succeed in the mission her master has given her. This annoyed her greatly and vexed her to death. This is already the sixth attempt and still, she returned empty-handed like always.
She had never been this frustrated before when under a mission.
[Adam’s Company] was like a ghost business organization that had materialized out of thin air.
A few days after their appearance, they suddenly became one of the most center-attracting business groups within the Northern Border due to their novel yet interesting wares and products—whether it was food or items, they are extremely popular to the masses, especially among the nobles and aristocrats.
Of course, because of this, [Adam’s Company] became a target by many people.
However, not one succeeds to uproot it.
Not only the Company possesses several extremely powerful combatants secretly hiding within, but the order within the Company was also tight-lip and was extremely managed well. Not one would dare reveal anything to the outsiders.
The Company had even managed to catch the attention of the Royal Family, however, due to the high tax they were offering each month, the [Adam’s Company] became seemingly untouchable.
Under the orders of Bluebird, their Master, they started a rigorous investigation towards the [Adam’s Company] but, much less the leader, they couldn’t even find out other important figures of the Company!
Just what was [Adam’s Company]?!
Now the [Adam’s Company] was extremely popular in the Northern Border, especially among nobles and noblewomen due to their beautiful clothes and interesting products, especially cosmetics. Although there are still some people who had tried to dig the water within the [Adam’s Company] just like them, they didn’t dare actively go against it.
And now, what made other people want to curse out loud was the fact that, all the members that they tried to capture died in a matter of seconds the moment they wanted to say something.

Of course, there are also others that survived but their lips were sealed tight and after a night of capture, they would be freed, who knows how leaving isolated and wrecked buildings filled with corpses. Terrifying as it is, no one dared to pursue the matter as they know that what they did was also against the law and retaliation was imminent.
Though, some high ranking noble family that had received a lot of damage from the [Adam’s Company] retaliation gritted their teeth in anger and rushed towards the Palace to report to Princess Oriel. However, since there was no evidence that the [Adam’s Company] was involved and the fact that they too are the one who was at fault, even if Princess Oriel wanted to make a move, her hands were bound.
The [Adam’s Company] high tax was a shackle to them.
[Adam’s Company] is an extremely mysterious company that many rumors spread throughout the city but no one was able to verify any of those.
The young girl and her comrades had been tracking and investigating the company for the past three months. Every time, they would miss them just by a bit, and never even get the chance to catch a glimpse of their backs.
Each of his comrades was well-versed in one or more of the following fields: information analysis, tracking, fighting, torture, infiltration, as well as counter-tracking and cleaning up tracks. All of them were the cream of the crop, yet they couldn't even touch the other party's tail and were even duped by them countless times.
How was this even possible?
For the very first time in their lives, they started doubting their capabilities. When they thought about it, they felt that it was simply too shameful. Though, of course, they know that this wasn’t their fault.
The other party’s security is just too tight they seemed to have no loopholes!
“Is that so…”
Blue Bird replied. But her tone was not the least bit angry or disappointed, just indifferent.
It’s as if she had already expected this, which was kinda strange.
“Master…”
“That’s enough, you can go back. Stop the investigation for a while. It’s not like we can do anything about it…we might just annoy 'him'. That would be a problem.” Blue Bird let out an amused chuckle, “Though, that itself seemed pretty interesting as well,” she added.
As for the ‘him’ that her master was saying, the pretty young girl had some inkling as to who he was.
The only person that interests her master to no end.
The well-known trash of the Imperial Demon Family.
The Second Demon Prince: Aanuel Heretarium Vorn Stormfury!
However, is ‘he’ really the one?
Is that ‘person’ really so capable?
Not only the young pretty girl started to believe it but also most people under Blue Bird, started as well. After all, they have never heard their master being wrong. Most of all, they didn’t dare question her words. They then started closely observing the Second Demon Prince, but just as before, apart from him playing around, they could not see anything praiseworthy.
The past few months flew by peacefully with no noteworthy events, of course, aside from the war that had turned up into small skirmishes unlike the intense ones in the Central Region.
From what the information that was passed on, beings calling themselves Heroes seemed to have started appearing lately. They are humans but they possess capabilities that are above even elite demons.
Because of their appearance, the once tide coming from the Demon Empire overwhelming the Human World had been upturned and now, the War stood in a standstill. Though, if one looks closely, the Demon Empire was slightly being pressured.
Well, in any case, the Demon World has now been losing the momentum in the War while the Human World is becoming stronger.
The Human World’s morale skyrocketed while the Demon Empire was left in frustration.
… …
Night
It was really quiet. Occasionally, sounds of beasts howling and the wind blowing through the grass could be heard.
The moon was embedded in the dark blue sky.
Under the full moon was a pool of water braved by a thin fog. In this dim white mist, a graceful figure was faintly discernible.
“Master, just like what you have said, Her Excellency Blue Bird indeed had captured one of us and the captive started talking, though before it happens the curse activated. However, as Master expected, they invoked an Anti-Curse beforehand. Fortunately, Master is wise and planted the Bug Slave.”
At one side of the pool, a person in dark clothes knelt on one knee with her head lowered to express her respect for the handsome youth in the water.
“Mm…it seems like that woman Blue Bird is still trying to interfere with my things…”
That young man’s voice sounded sweet as the clear spring in the mountains, almost feminine yet still has a touch of cold and indifferent masculine tone in it.
In this silent night, it was particularly pleasant to hear.
“What are you planning to do, Master? Sent a warning?”
“A warning?”
Suddenly, the handsome youth let out a faint chuckle.
The voice was faint but with the solemnness of the area seemed to have boosted the volume of his sound. It’s as if it resounded in the entire place, like the beautiful gentle sounds of angelic bells.
Under normal circumstances, this sound would not attract one’s notice. Unfortunately, the entire area was absolutely silent.
Furthermore, it was extremely pleasant to listen to.
Hearing the youth’s laughter, the person in dark clothes bowed down her head, her face slightly flushed as if drunk. No, probably she was drunk, her face hidden by the veil of darkness hanged a silly smile.
“Sending a warning won’t do anything beneficial for us. In fact, it might just become a disadvantage. That old hag’s status and power is something to be feared, standing the level above anyone in the Empire aside from Mother. For us, she was a walking disaster. Provoking her needlessly will only hurt ourselves.”
The youth muttered indifferently. Though, his voice remained indifferent as if what he was just stating a fact, his lips were curling into a mischievous grin. He had not even shown any emotion, much less anger after hearing the deaths of the captives.
To him, those captives had died because they wanted to reveal things to the enemies, betraying him.
That is something unacceptable!
