“…why don’t we test it out?”

When General Profar said that, as if given signals, several people immediately rushed towards the Second Prince direction, emitting thick killing intent.

“Heh,” The second prince grinned under his mask. Ezra who saw a dozen demons attacking, her expression changed and she immediately tried to stand up, and fight—but, her body had received too much damage and before she knew it, she was once again falling in the ground—Plop! But someone caught her, “Seriously, if you can’t move, then don’t move…” an annoyed voice rang out and her body was pulled in a warm embrace.

“There is no but…” The Second Prince cut her off.

When the attacker had reached less than a meter away closer to them, suddenly, a pressure as if a compressed air exploded occurred, and the rushing demons were sent flying away one by one.

“?!” General Profar and the other elites gazes narrowed, and their expression changed drastically. What kind of magic did he use? There’s no incantation and magic fluctuation…!

How could this be possible...?

Insta-cast magic spell, even among demon sorcerer is something extremely rare and difficult, much less, this kind of fleeting-like-ghost manner. Just who is this person?

Pushing back the sword with his arm, the second prince swung his leg, shooting a roundhouse kick that pushed back Gangdan and caused him to crash into a building. But even though every blow of his was backed with his superpower, the Second Prince still couldn’t help but frown in displeasure. Although he wasn't really trying to kill them as much as possible, the Second Prince was certain that Gangdan didn’t suffer any kind of damage from that attack… his defenses are terrifying…!

Dang! Dang! The bladed weapons interlocked, the weapons of the Demonic soldiers were snapped off in the middle and the stern wind coming from his every movement had slashed open the clothes in their chest area.

Two great demonic great warriors simultaneously threw out their weapons, left and right they both charged into the hooded masked youth, their both hands crisscrossed, brandished their strokes everywhere. One attacking the left side, the other attacked from the right side where Ezra was positioned. The second prince used only one hand, in order to protect Ezra, he had to disperse his energy and concentration, almost equal to one-armed one man fighting against a dozen.

But, the demon soldiers were much stronger than the second prince had expected. The second prince angrily groaned and leaped up from his location. He then made a gorgeous spin in the air, exactly shifting his position above the black-robed old demon, the energy poured into his both feet, using the mountain-like weight he firmly dropped down, at the same time a black palm-sized dagger materializing on his free hand, piercing toward the purple-robed old demon nearby. Since his hands weren’t able to become flexible, he attacked with the help of his feet.

The black-robed old demon didn’t have time to evade, his both palms forged ahead, with a smothered sound of “Baaaang”, his body was like being nailed down on the ground just like being bombarded by the enormous energy of a wooden pile, directly sinking down his head. On the other side, the purple-robed old demon was being compelled to back out by the sudden black dagger that seemed to hold the strength of an entire mountain.

This time, large groups of imperial demon guards were like tidal waves approaching from all sides, they quickly took their dispositions. The black dagger was peerless and sharp as no one could stop its path.

The vacant spaces between them were immediately replaced by many other people. The injuries that the second prince sustained basically didn’t have enough time to recover as all of his strength relied on the support of his slaughter and protection—although he still has the intention to kill, yet he will be doomed not to stop.

“…stupid! Just leave me alone…! You, you don’t have anything to do with this…!”

Subconsciously, tears started dropping from Ezra’s eyes as she stared at the desperate masked youth carrying her. If not for the fact that she had already exhausted her strength, she would have jumped down from where she was and die as to not implicate this demon that she could never understand, and yet for some unknown reason had unknowingly penetrated her heart.

She should not be feeling this way, she knows that…she should have felt disgusted by the fact that she was feeling this kind of emotion towards a Demon, who should have been an enemy of her and her race—and yet…

She was not!

Instead, she felt some kind of sweetness and happiness she couldn't understand...!

For the first time, Ezra realized that she had still a huge distance to go before she could call herself a great Knight.

“Why?! Why are you doing this?! I, I don’t need your pity…! You and I are nothing but strangers…! In fact, you and I are enemies, then why…?! Why are you—?!”

“Heh, who knows why…”

Jumping backward and repelling another killing attack, the second prince mumbled with a wry smile.

“… …” Ezra’s eyes widened in shock as she stared at the figure desperately blocking all the attacks that were coming to her.

She didn’t know but her heart was feeling incomprehensible happiness, at the same time, pain that seemed to ripped her heart into pieces. Her face felt some drop of water and thought probably it was raining, but when she raised her head, her heart shivered. It was not raining, nor it was water—it was blood…!

Blood sprouted from the masked youth carrying her and it rained down on her face. No…! No…! Ezra’s tears couldn’t stop from falling. And for the very first time, she was feeling agonized, bitter, and anguishes of the fact that she was weak…!

So weak she cannot do anything. She started crying and screaming for the second prince to run but the latter just ignored and kept on fighting…fighting desperately.

“No, please stop! Please, just run away…! I don’t need it…I’d rather die, no, please just let me die…!”

“…and do you think I would consent to that?" A cold mocking voice replied to her. "And besides, I have already spilled my blood. It would be waste if I didn’t see this farce till the end, won’t it? My precious blood wrongly spilled would be proven meaningless…!” The Second Prince groaned.

Then, suddenly, behind him, the two enormous pressure suddenly stopped. The Second Prince having his defense desperately tight, he didn’t have a leeway to turn his head to glance back. And so, he leaped up highly to the front, immediately the bloodstained ground exploded and the earth scattered, more the twenty imperial demon guards got killed on the spot from the hit of Gandan and the other elite Imperial Guards.

“Tsk!” The Second Prince clicked his tongue as he suspended in mid-air waved his right arm, the air around him seemed to have been disturbed and then a gust of destructive wind shot downwards, hitting more than ten persons below as they flew out. Then, with a flipped his leg struck out, the building next to him was hit and had been crushed into million pieces, only for the small debris to shot at the rushing Imperial Demon Guards like bullets.

The Second Prince hurriedly jumped backward, wanting to escape using the commotion and clouds of dust but at this moment, his eyes narrowed and he throws Ezra’s body on his shoulders, his expression tight. Before him, a figure flashed like a red meteor.

With the wind enwrapping the large battle axe, the blade resembled a crescent moon in the night as the man ran towards the Second Prince.

“Thinking of escaping?!”

The Second Prince eyes flashed dangerously. He hurriedly brought the small black dagger up in preparation to defend.

General Profar brought his scarlet dyed battle axe down towards the second prince’s head at an extremely fast speed.

“STOPPP!!” a mournful cry echoed in the area, as Ezra stared at the expanding blade of the horrifying battle axe.

However, unlike her, the second prince was still calm. Since he was fighting the infamous General of the Northern Imperial City, the Second Prince didn’t plan on meeting this attack head-on, and nimbly dodged to the side. However, as he stabbed with his dagger in a reverse grip, the General’s Battleaxe changed direction in midair and whistled through the air, as it parried the Second Prince dagger.

The Second Prince face hidden within the mask, changed dramatically as he immediately brought back his dagger, reluctant to go against the General’s Battleaxe.

Strong…! He felt his hand gone numb and even the Vector power he had invoked just managed to work for a short time before his control was swept away. How the hell is this possible…?

“You have some strange powers there, young one! As expected the rumors about you are not unfounded,”

The General muttered with a grin.

“Haha, this young one is honored, to receive praise from the Lion Fang himself… I might even dance in happiness~” The second prince replied with a laugh as he jumped backward, creating a distance. Though, he knows that this would be futile as someone like the General himself would be able to traverse this distance in one leap. Even still…

“Oh Great General of the Ice Princess, don’t take my actions wrong… Eden did not desire to go against Prince Aanuel and Princess Oriel’s rule and intention. In fact, as long as we could have a chance of cooperation, Eden would never hesitate to cooperate. More so, for the Imperial Court that Her Majesty Sitana ruled over—as long as Her Majesty remained in her position, Eden would never go against the Imperial Court!”

At this moment, the General was the one who was stunned. His action, on the verge of sending another attack, halted, and he stared incredulously at the masked youth in front of her.

“Nonsense!” he cried out in a fit of anger. His anger caused the roof he was standing on to cracked and seemed on the verge of crumbling over.

“Don’t lie to me youngling! Is attacking his highness a sign of cooperation…?!” his anger spiked and he seemed to be on the verge of exploding. “Don’t take me for a fool!!”

Under the mask, the second prince could only smile bitterly at the General’s angry shout—

What can he do?

This is what the lass had done, not him.

More like, if possible, why would I attack myself…?

Ezra who was being carried by the second prince heard the General’s words and her face turned beet red from shame. Indeed, all of this was caused by her… although she did say that she would not regret what she had done, as it was only right and justifiable for her and her people’s eyes, now, she had a bit of surging regret.

If she had not done that, they would not be in this situation…much less, she would not expose the second prince in this kind of danger…!

The second prince sigh, “This lass doing is indeed excessive…though, of course, she’s not part of Eden…as of yet and thus, she didn’t know about any limitations and restrictions of the Garden, especially towards the people that should not be moved. Including His Highness Aanuel, and Her Highness Oriel for that matter."

"In this case, Eden can only give you an explanation and apology…however, as I said before, this is a personal matter and not Eden’s—I cannot let you kill this bony lass before me, General." The Second Prince muttered with firm determination.

"If you overlook it this time, I would ensure that the next time, whatever Her Highness Oriel wanted from us, as long as it’s within our capability, we will carry it out without any hesitation…how about it?”
