《The Blood Prince》Volume 1 Epilogue

Volume 1 Epilogue
It went quiet!
There was dead silence in the area!
There was also dead silence at the Empress and the other’s location as they watched the incomprehensible scene unfolded in front of them—the once magnificent Demon Mansion was now replaced by a heaps of rubbles and debris as if it was swept by a terrible storm that uprooted even the large trees and rocks in the surrounding area.
The group was filled with shock! They looked at Cian who was slowly descending as if being carried by the wind, as though they were staring at a monster. Roathuaria and her two daughters stared in shock and trepidation. At this very moment, they finally understand that the Second Prince they knew was nothing but a fictional character made from nonsensical rumors and hearsays—the real one in front of them, was a real monster!
Roathuaria bit her lips—she was right! The Royal Family is not something so easily touched!
She had known about her husband’s plans and schemes and has even warned him many times but now, she realized she too has yet to understand the real consequences of going against them!
She still underestimated the real horror behind the Royal Family…!
The eyes of several women, including Ruka and the Empress aid, were filled with an intense admiration and worship. As for the other Generals, their eyes were filled with respect and fear. Cian's power was really an eye-opener!
On the other hand, the Empress stared at the scene in front of her with a slight smile. She has some inkling about Cian’s true power. However, seeing what he could do still, she still found it unbelievable!
The Second Prince was known for being trashed in terms of magic and fighting combat. Although he can fight a little with magic or sword, it’s not to the point that can be seen impressive—he can fight normal humans without a problem but in terms of veteran knights, he would be easily defeated. Thus, seeing his nonsensical power now, that shock was really too great to handle!

“…Let’s go…people are starting to gather…” The Empress was the first one to snap out from daze and muttered, calling everyone out from their reverie.
“Your Majesty, His Highness did something flashy like this… is this really okay?!” Gustav asked with a worried expression.
“It’s fine… he should have some plans with him. Besides, even if without them, as long as I’m here, no one can touch him. I’ll support him even if the sky fell down…!” The Empress muttered without care and his figure slowly blurred, vanishing after a moment.
“…As you wish!” Gustav and the others immediately bowed.
As for Cian, he stood in the air for a few seconds, and savoring over the disaster he had created. Then, he suddenly felt various presences and when he narrowed his eye, he caught several people hurriedly coming over.
His cold eyes scanned the distance through the curtains of rain, seeing everyone regardless of their distance from the main scene; then, he suddenly looked upwards and shouted. ‘Aaaaaaahhhhhh!!!’ His roar filled the sky, almost like the sound of a thunderbolt would have, while the effect of his wild howl suppressed the hearts and desires of many experts in an instant!
Even the leaving Empress and the rest suddenly stopped from the sudden berserk cry. “What?!” They almost turned around simultaneously, as if they had agreed beforehand—seeing it was comical.
What is he doing now…? This was the question that had appeared in almost everyone’s mind as they stared aghast at Cian’s sudden strange actions.
There was a deathly silence!
Suddenly, a dense and gloomy aura was issued out. Then, it was promptly restrained.
However, this momentary explosion of aura was extremely terrifying that some of the weaker experts amongst these approaching or hiding ones instantly sensed the danger, and their hearts and brain started urging them to scuttle away, while some even stopped in their steads out of fear as their faces went pale from the fear of facing the terror behind this voice!

"Greetings, Demon Empire!! Greetings my Old Friends! You can call by my past name Cian Cahlo...However, now that the war has begun, names are irrelevant....Cian....Reaper.....call me whatever you wish. It is not worth living in this world with only despair exists.”
“… …”
“You Demons forced upon by arrogance and ego, all you've ever experience is despair...am I wrong?? Surely you have to understand my sorrow....at least a little." Cian laughed loudly: "That is why, fear my wrath, taste my fury—!! For I am JUSTICE!!”
Almost all of these approaching experts froze in their steads!
The voice was cold and it sounds like a curse. There seemed to be dark and sinister vibes in the voice… as if it had come straight from hell. It made the listeners feel uncomfortable in their ears.
What is this declaration…?
Those who have heard the name, all stood aghast and dumbstruck.
Who has the gall to act unruly in the Demon Empire…?!
Snapping out from their daze, the people who ahd stopped once again rushed towards the source of the voice—Duke Rabilla’s Mansion!
However, the moment they moved, that sinister aura once again spread out. However, its range was much greater this time around. And then, when they got closer, and the black figure with white mask appeared on their vision, suddenly, without warning, the surroundings become covered in darkness. The ground. The sky. The scenery. Everything is being enveloped by darkness. It’s so dark and cold that even the light has disappeared.
What?!
Everyone started to panic and their figures, one by one started falling into the ground…

Standing at the broken rubble of the once magnificent mansion, Cian stood calmly. Smiling faintly, he throws a glittering card at the rubble and then, turned around.
“…It’s been a long night…”
From the start to the end, he did not turn his head back even once!
It was as though the things which happened today were just like a passing cloud, not leaving a single trace within his heart.

Luck And Chronomancy
Time Magic is the best magic as everyone knows, although there are lots of unique Talents in the world. Most people only remember Haste because it is hard to get to higher Phases of Chronomancy. That is still enough to make the Talent iconic. A lucky enough Aleatory Talent can position you for greatness or leave you languishing in obscurity. The only true equality in the world is when that glowing message pops up at 8 years old. Even if it doesn't activate until you are an adult at 16 you still know. Sure you can find a new dungeon spawn and get another chance at a rare Talent, even this one, but you have to already be ready to delve into the *Far Wilds*, which is far easier with wealth or family power. This is the story of where my good fortune took me and the difference it made, even among a party of 7 others including an Arcanist. It is a journey of magic and monsters but also math, which some think is actually worse. Luckily I was born with Intelligence and Focus as my personal traits, and my parents were scholars. Of course Chronomancy can also be a frontline combat talent. Versitility well beyond other Elder Talents like Gravity, Abstraction, or Arcana. Might could have worked for me, too. I also met a runaway princess. All the best adventures have a princess. She hated being a noble and we didn't get married but it still counts. Besides she really filled out our front line. All that Leadership training came in handy. I still don't know where she's from. Who cares? How well Haste goes with giant hammers is what's important. I never learned much about anyone in the party, except the one I grew up with. I'm not a people person. I just wanted to optimize dungeon clearing time. *******Story Details******* No romance, politics, or traumatizing content, slice of life, or even dialogue. 1st person narration, like a guide/adventure log. 2000-7000 words a day, maybe 40-60% rpgish combat log with some reasoning on combat decisions, with the rest character Talent discussion and progression stuff. 8 person party with a decent variety in roles. Party members usually have 2 primary functions. Told from the support/control Chronomancer's perspective. Each party member will have 6 Basic/Background Traits, then 3 actual Talents with abilities. Capstone from their Educational Institution, Arbritrary as a gift from the temples, and Aleatory which is decided at birth, revealed at 8, and activated after adulthood at 16. Aleatory Traits ignore requirements and are random why is why they are so important. They'll gain new Talents from finding Dungeons to consume in the *Wilds*. Mature dungeons in cities can provide *Challenges* to raise the Phase of a Talent, up to 3 times from 1 to 4. Each character will get to roughly 8 non-Trait Talents. Attributes come exclusive from Talents, are required by Talents, and provide various effects as well. I designed about 220 Talents with abilities, 4 in each of 4 phases. "Traits" are just Attribute stuff. I'm not sure how many will be detailed in the story, more than 100 for sure. I used Talents because I want to be free of the legacy of tabletop. Half those rules are just because of the limitations inherent in a pre-computer ttrpg. This story mostly uses combat Talents, although like 1/3 of the 220 are for crafting and other society and economy stuff. If you really wanted to be a Thief you might take Intuition, Awarness, and Might for Basic Traits and Deftness, Manipulation, and Trickery for Family/Education. Then you'd pick Acrobatics, and Climbing for Educational Capstone and Arbitrary traits. You Aleatory Trait might be Shadow(Light/Dark) Magic, Umbramancy. A Bard might swap Dexterity for Charisma, Music for Acrobatics, and have gotten Illusion(Shadow/Sound(Air/Force)) for their Aleatory Trait.
