Abrum’s face began to burn. He bent over clutching his face after Aleqe removed his hands.

“What the heck was that!” Abrum screamed out in pain. Aleqe just looked at him with pity. Those eyes that had no sight still manage to convey how pitiful Abrum seemed.

“Sorry, now read up about your present.”

*Ding*

The sound of a skill being learned. Joy. Abrum looked at the skill for a moment. His eyes widened, and he began to smile until it reached the corners of his face… and then his face scrunched up in pain again.

Skill Name:Skill Rank:Skill Level:Skill ExperienceBlades of the AngaellisBeginner00.0%This skill allows the user to summon any type of bladed weapon. These weapons are made of light and cause and additional 5 holy damage for each additional level. The base damage increases with each level. (Note: This racial ability was forcefully unlocked by [???] Aleqe).

Abrum was extremely happy with the skill. While he was happy, he couldn’t help but wonder what the “[???]” was in front of Aleqe’s name.

‘What kind of monster is teacher?’

Aleqe just smiled at him and came at him with his wooden swords. His strikes were fast, but normal.

“Best way to grasp a skill is to train with it.”

Abrum had to jump back in a panic to avoid the swings. He tried to concentrate, but it was always broken by the dangerous swings of Aleqe. Then Abrum nearly face palmed. The game had a skill assist.

‘Blades of the Angaellis’ Abrum though out frantically.

There was that customary blinding flash of light accompanied the skill… Aleqe used this opportunity to smack Abrum in the ribs… Hard, though Abrum kept standing, and then he felt something in his hands. It felt as if Abrum was holding his two wooden swords, but when he looked at his hands, he was astonished.

In each hand was a magnificent sword. Most of the sword was white. The handle and hand guard were mostly a golden color, while the blade was traced with golden line patterns. The two swords glowed softly. A smile crept across his face, wiping away the grimace of pain.

Abrum started up his flowing attack. The swords of light traced lines of light in the air. The swords connected once with Aleqe’s. The result: Aleqe1’s swords shattered. He looked surprised as he looked down at his broken swords, then just smiled.

‘Your potential is much greater than mine ever was. But your burden…” Aleqe thought. He jumped back and bowed sarcastically.

“Good job boy. I’ll leave you to your mission then. I’ll be back at the training hall.” He smiled wryly. Light began to coalesce around him. When he was completely wrapped in light, the light disappeared, and Aleqe was nowhere to be found.

Abrum looked stunned.

‘Dang it, why didn’t he teach me that? My teacher is just too whimsical.’

Abrum just sighed at his luck and looked to Bella and Tella. They got up and meandered over to Abrum. Their green eyes met his and they asked him

“Are we going somewhere?”

“Where’d the blind man go?”

Abrum stood there for a second wondering how to answer them. They had no obligation to follow him when he went on

this quest. So he presented them with the option

“I am off to subjugate a succubus that has begun to cause trouble. You are welcome to join me. I would appreciate your company; however, you are not obligate to come with me.”

At the word succubus, their hackles rose at the word succubus.

“There is one of those foul creatures so close? We will be most happy to assist you in subjugating it.”

“DIRTY!”

Abrum looked at them puzzled. Their green eyes were filled with the flames of rage. He was curious as to the reason of their outburst.

“What is the reason for such a strong response?”

Bella and Tella looked at him confused for a second, then realization passed over their faces.

“You don’t know the history of the white foxes do you?”

Abrum shook his head.

“Man was once a creature that showed moderation; however, as time passed, their greed festered inside of them until it completely destroyed that moderation that they once showed. They began to lust after the riches and wealth. They hunted many races for their treasures. One of these races was the white fox. They hunted us to near extinction for our white pelts. The slaughter that accompanied their greed was unbearable. The blood. The carnage. The screams.”

“The Angaellis saw the massive amounts of atrocities that humanity was committing. They came down and gave power to the species, starting with the foxes. With their help, the Angaellis stopped the atrocities that humanity committed. It got to the point where the tables had been turned. Humanity had been driven into a corner. The Angaellis and his forces were preparing to siege the final stronghold of humanity, Sefica. The queen, seeing the dire situation, called for a summit to discuss a treaty. The great leader of the Angaellis, the Archangel Mebaleqe, and the queen met and discussed a treaty. The Angaellis did not want destruction, and thus a treaty was made. The humans would no longer persecute the races, and the other races would allow them to live. With peace restored, the Angaellis returned to their realm.”

“This pact was upheld up to the Great Darkness. Then the lines became a bit blurred.”

Abrum had a confused look on his face.

“What is the Great Darkness?”

“The Great Darkness was when there was a rise in demons. The Angaellis returned to help the races prevent the destruction that the great demon king, Seraz, led. Wherever Seraz led his army, only smoking heaps of corpses and buildings remained. The Angaellis banded together the races and the army of the Church, to construct the Army of Light. The forces of Darkness and the forces of the Light met on the plains of Garia. Before the battle, the Arch-Angaellis Mebaleqe said these immortal words.

‘Fight for a brighter future. Onwards towards a better future. TOWARDS THE LIGHT!’ The two armies clashed together.

Many were lost that day. There were many acts of bravery, but none were braver than my ancestors. They fought beside

the Mebaleqe. On that day, with our ancestors’ assistance, Seraz was killed.”

“Mebaleqe left the races with a task. To purify any demons that appeared in the time to come. This is why we will assist you in your task.”

Abrum looked at them for a second, before a grin broke out upon his face. He was really grateful for their help, regardless of their reasons.

“Thank you both, shall we get going then?”

“Yes.” They both said in unison.

Abrum just smiled and gathered his pack and began walking. The two foxes followed, flicking their golden tipped tails back in forth. The group walked off into the forest with the setting sun as their back drop.

After it had grown dark, Abrum had made a camp fire to cook the rabbits that the two foxes would bring him. He lay down and gazed at the stars. He appreciated the feel of the breeze that whistled through the trees. He lay awake listening to the crickets chirping, the owls hooting, the girl sobbing. Wait. There was one that wasn’t supposed to be there.

He bolted up right and listened again. There was definitely sobbing. Abrum got up and followed the noise till he came upon a beautiful girl.

She was maybe the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. She had long raven hair black hair, skin like porcelain, and two beautiful chocolate eyes which were red from crying. Tears were streaming down her cheeks, marring her lovely face. Her dress was plain and form fitting, revealing her lovely figure.

“Are you okay miss?” Abrum asked with a worried face. She looked up at him startled, the tears stopping for a second.

‘Goood night! She is beautiful.’

“N-no *hic* I-I’m *hic* not!” She stutters out as she bursts out into tears.

“Hey it’s okay, her, let me help you.”

He helps her up and leads her to the campfire where she can warm herself. He sits down and waits for the foxes to return. He occasionally glances at her to see if she is all right. She dries her tears as soon as the foxes come back. They drop their rabbits over at Abrum’s feet and proceed to inspect their new companion.

Abrum begins to cook the rabbits over the fire, seasoning the rabbits with the herbs he found along the way. He glanced over to see how the foxes were acquainting themselves with the girl.

The foxes approached the girl cautiously, and she stared at them in wonder, watching the way the firelight reflected against their sleek white and gold fur. The foxes brushed themselves up against the girl, and she seemed to light up at this.

After a while Abrum finished cooking the rabbits. He took them off the spit and divides the meat between four wooden dishes. He takes one of the dishes and squats down in front of the girl and hand it to her.

“What is you name miss?”

She looks startled, but accepts the dish and answers in a small voice

“Andrea.”

“So Andrea, what are you doing out here in the forest all by yourself?”

She looks up frantically, in a panic as if she just realized something.

“Our village was attacked! You have to help us!”

She began to recount her story.

“It happened about two months ago. The village was having its festival of harvest. All the townsfolk were having a good time. The mayor gathered up around to make an announcement. He was going to announce his marriage. He called his bride to be up to the stage. A shrouded, hooded person came up to the stage, and then took off her hood. It was the succubus!”

‘The succubus? Well that’s odd’

“All the men staggered in unison. I felt severely threatened by the woman that stood up on the stage. I looked into my father’s eyes, and I noticed immediately something was wrong. Next, all the men just left. Along with that Succubus! Please you have to help me!”
