《Re:Asura》Chapter 24: Demon Force

The moment Choronzon alerted Asura of the killing intents coming from below, Asura instantly utilized his 'Mana Sense'. Now that he was on the 4th level as a Magi, his ranged had increased from 10 metres to 50 metres.
Sensing that three of them had the mana density of a 5th rank Magus, he guessed that the last one was at least a 5th level Warrior, or maybe even a 6th level Warrior!
"Master, flee!" Choronzon hurriedly spoke in Asura's mind.
Quickly jumping towards the balcony, Asura heard a loud crunch from behind him, coming from where he had been standing earlier! Turning his head backwards, Asura could see a halberd sticking through the wooden plank flooring, before it disappeared underneath.
At the same time, there were bursts of fireballs and razor sharp wind smashing through the already damanged flooring, causing a series of loud bangs and a large hole on the floor, revealing a group of four black robed men, their hoods shrouding their faces in darkness.
"Damn it!" Asura cursed. Quickly reinforcing his legs with mana, he leapt over the railings and landed safely on the stone pavement.
"Did Nilfim send them?" Beads of sweat were streaking down Asura's face. He was starting to panic. Had he been a second slower, would definitely had been ripped into pieces!
"Compose yourself, Master" Choronzon's low voice rang in Asura's head. "These mortals are only so strong, they will not be a match against the Demon Force."
"What do I do?" Asura yelled in his head, just as he dodged another series of Fireballs, resulting in an explosion. Some of the unfortunate houses that was in the vicinity of the explosion had been set on fire, causing chaos to ensue. The commoners who had been inside the houses were pouring to the streets, and were starting to panic.
"Hey, what's going on?!"
"Fire!!! Run!!!"
"Look, there are magi shooting fire spells at that boy!"
Asura was already starting to lose his temper from having been constantly assaulted with spells without even being given the time take a breather and retaliate. Converting about 10% of his current mana into fire elemental essences and wind elemental essences, Asura was about fire a 'Burning Gale' at the four black silhouettes standing on the Warrior's Guild 2nd floor balcony, when a voice rang in Asura's head.

"Master, we should get out of here first. There are too many people here, they might get caught up by your 'Burning Gale'." Choronzon urged Asura. During Asura's fight with Doerba, Choronzon had been watching, and was astonished by the power that the 'Burning Gale' held. For a 3rd level magus, the power he had released was unbelievable!
Asura nodded, pouring more mana into his legs and ran towards the city walls.
"Fighting in the city will attract too much attention. If people find out about my power, it might get complicated."
When Asura was reaching towards the main gate, he recognized one of the guards as the one that had let him in the day before. Afraid that the guard would see his face, Asura tore off a piece of cloth from his robe and tied it around his mouth.
"Halt! Slow down and identify yourself!" One of the guards on the watchtowers spotted someone streaking towards the main gate.
As Asura had trained in magic, he could tremendously increase his body capabilities, temporarily increasing his 4th level as a Warrior to a 6th level Warrior, allowing him to outrun his assailants. Now running at top speed, he appeared as a grey streak to the guards.
"This is your last warning, stop or we will-" The guard tried to warn the grey streak, but before he could finish, the grey streak had already rammed through the wooden barricades, and instantly out of the main gate!
Realizing that he could not stop the grey streak in anyway, the guard could only return to his duty. Just then, he spotted another 4 streaks.
"What the- Hey, you four, stop!" The guard yelled, but to no avail. Completely ignoring the guard, the four black streaks, in the same manner as the grey streak, rammed through the barricades and followed the trail of their target.
Exasperated, the guard threw his spear onto the ground and walked off, yelling "I quit!"
As Asura was running over the grasslands, Asura fired short bursts of mana and fireballs in an attempt to slow them down. However, as the four black robed men who were following closely behind, expertly dodged the spells and mana waves, Asura was already starting to slow down. As a 4th level Magus, his mana capacity was not as high as the 5th level magi who were chasing after him. Naturally, in the long run he would still have been caught.

Now that the city was out of Asura's 'Burning Gale' range, he stopped running and turned around, before releasing his mind's grip on the 'Burning Gale', causing a huge wall of fire to spew forth from his hands!
"RRROOOOAAAARRRR!!!"
As the crimson red flames turned the grasses and weeds to ashes in its path, Asura could feel the flesh on his arms being burnt by the heat. Thick grey smoke rose from the ashes, blocking the four black robed men from Asura's view.
"Did they die?" Asura activated his 'Mana Sense', searching for the four assailants. To his horror, the density of the mana within their 'Origin of Life' had barely been affected! Wanting to see how they had managed to resist his 'Burning Gale', Asura jerked his body, pushing forth a wave of raw mana.
When the cloud of thick grey smoke dissipated due to the burst of mana, Asura realized that in front of them was three layers of earthen walls! Two of them had completely crumbled from the force of the 'Burning Gale', but had also caused the power of the 'Burning Gale' to decrease each time. He also noticed that one of the magi was panting. Guessing that he was the magus who had erected the earth walls,
Using the 'Burning Gale' had already burnt his arms, and Asura did not dare to unleash another one. Wishing that he had spent more time studying the other elements, Asura could now only rely on his newfound Demon Force and his fire demon servant.
"Choronzon, quick!" Asura yelled inside his mind. "How do I use the Demon Force"?
"Master, the Demon Force can be used for several things. For now, I'll teach you a technique called 'Materialization'. Showing you will be easier than explaining in words." Choronzon explained.
Just as Asura was about to ask what Choronzon meant by 'showing', he cried out in pain as a splitting headache sprang out in his head, and could feel streams of information gushing into his mind.
"GGUUUAAAAAHHHHH!!!!" Asura fell onto his knees, banging his fists on the grassy soil in an attempt to distract himself from the pain.
When the pain finally stopped, Asura could feel streams of information in his brain, explaining the concepts and uses of the 'Materialization' technique.
"Awesome! This Demon Force is like a cheat!" Asura laughed out loud, causing the four black figures behind the wall of smoke to look at each other, wondering what the reason behind the laughter was.
Eager to test out the 'Demon Force', Asura stood up, infusing mana into his arms, dulling the pain from the burns.
Within Asura's body, a river of black gas was flowing out from the Demon Force, and into Asura's right arm. As the black gas escaped from the pores of his body, it slowly condensed, taking on the shape of a single-edged sword, closely resembling a katana, except that the tip of the blade does not curve upwards.
In Asura's mind, there were five words that stood out. 'Demon's Avatar: Blade of Shadow Flame'.
[Edit: Just realised that there were multiple same paragraphs. I have already corrected the errors.]

Tom Is Chill
An eye for an eye may make the whole world go blind but at least that f***er can't see either. The early bird gets the worm but I go to the grocery store so screw you. Technically humans don't need to breathe. If no one had any more children everyone would be dead in the next one hundred fifty years probably. Does this count as a synopsis? No? Okay. Tom murders a bunch of dudes. *Tom Dies*. Tom is reborn. Tom doesn't want to be reborn but no one really cares. Tom is born in a new world. He didn't really have to be though. Cause his old world had magic and all. I don't want to give anything away. I swear this fiction is more serious than I am I just find it hard to write a synopsis. Maybe I should write something like this. "Follow Earnheart Super Maximus on his gender-bender super adventures that are exciting and often humorous as he gathers a bunch of chicks for literally no reason." I mean that's what everyone else does and it seems to work.
