《Re:Asura》Chapter 22: Choronzon's Obeisance

"KUUUAAAHHHH!!!!"
As the black shadow intertwined itself together with the white mana in Asura's 'Origin of Life', immeasurable pain exploded from within Asura's chest, causing him to lose control of his body and collapse onto the pitch black floor.
"AAAAAUUUUUGGGGHHHH!!!!" Asura screamed, writhing about frantically on the floor. The pain resulting from the clash between the black shadow and the white mana had caused a reaction in Asura's 'Origin of Life'. Within Asura's 'Origin of Life', the black shadow was starting to overpower the white mana.
As the pain was too immense, his mind's grasp on his 'Origin of Life' had let slip, and provided little to no resistance against the black shadow.
Asura's eyes had already turned bloodshot, and his skin was slowly turning black, spreading out from the centre of his chest. As the black skin spread outwards, the pain Asura was suffering had also intensified. It felt as if his head and body was being split open and then pierced by a thousand needles!
"GGRRRRUUUAAAAHHHHHH!"
Sensing that the black shadow was about to consume his 'Origin of Life', Asura exerted with all his willpower for the mana within his 'Origin of Life' to resist. He had already gone through death once, and that was already more than enough for him. As he remembered Noelle's weeping face, watching him as his life slipped away, a hidden anger bubbled up from deep within his heart.
"Oh? Impressive willpower! Maybe at last..." The black shadow felt that the white mana had grown stronger, and was even starting to push it back.
Realizing that the black shadow had grown weaker-no, that his mana had grown stronger, he realized that recalling stimulating memories could somewhat increase his power!
"KKKAAAAHHHHH!" Forcing himself to remember all the times he had spent with Noelle and Kira, he felt a surge of power rising from within himself.

"At last, I've broken through to the 4th level as a Magi!" Asura was laughing in his heart as felt his mana density suddenly increase by several fold. For the past several days, Asura had been stuck at the 3rd level, as he had not been spending time absorbing mana. Now that his power had somehow increased, it had become a lot easier to resist against the black shadow.
As time passed, the white mana had almost completely overpowered the black shadow, and bits of the black shadow was being pushed out of the 'Origin of Life'.
"At last...." The black shadow sighed, before it completely stopped clashing with the white mana and completely slipped out of Asura's 'Origin of Life'. Turning itself into a black sphere that was the size of a fist, the black shadow lodged itself in the area 3cm below the 'Origin of Life'. It now appeared to be very similar to the 'Origin of Life', except that it was black instead of white.
"Eh?" The pain within Asura's body had completely disappeared, and Asura who was now calming down, could sense a new source of power from within his body. "What's going on?" Asura pondered, trying to draw power from the black sphere. However, before he could draw a sliver of power from the black sphere...
"Whoooosh!" A black figure flew out from Asura's abdomen area, which was where the black sphere was at. Standing before him was the black shadow that had tried to take over his 'Origin of Life'!
Raising it's head, its neon green eyes flashed as the black flames that was shrouded around its silhouette earlier, was now slowly sucked into its body, revealing a fierce looking man with an extremely muscular build and standing at 1.9m, with black eyebrows that curled downwards, like black scmitars. Combined with his heavy beard and a seeming permanent frown, he looked like a top level expert that when angered, he would make the world tremble from his fury!

The black robed bearded man immediately knelt on one leg, he clasped his hands with powerful force and with each word causing shockwaves of green light to ripple throughout the pitch black darkness, he said with a low voice, "For having freed me from my curse, your loyal servant Choronzon pledges his eternal life to Master!"
