Ever since that incident with my father and that scary old man, I have been trying to reproduce what my father did with my hand. But no matter what I do I couldn’t do it. I feel something crucial is missing. That’s when I remembered that energy that I felt inside my body…

If my theory is correct, that pale yellow light that my father had on his hand is that energy. But how did he do it? When I started concentrating on that energy, I felt that same type of energy around me. I tried to pull that energy into my body. It started moving toward me at an almost snail’s pace.

I concentrated hard, imagining myself as a pool where that energy will accumulate, as I started imagining that, it started moving faster and faster and finally entered my body. It was a miniscule amount as if a part of a drop in an ocean, but I was happy with the result.

But before I could observe that energy, it immediately split into 10 parts, and the same incident repeated as it did on that day with my father. This time that phenomenon is even faster.

I was again left with a pitiful amount within me. I immediately tried to move it to my hand but no matter what I do, I couldn’t control that energy. After sometime it will dissipate into the atmosphere. I felt as if none of my questions are answered.

After some thinking, I felt that was not the case. I got some of the questions answered. Moreover they are the basic questions from which I was confident I can find out the answer to the other questions that came up.

First of all, I now know where that energy came from. It’s all around me in the earth, air, even water I drink. We take in that energy from the atmosphere into our bodies and we can even manipulate it like my father did. But why can’t I do it? It’s like I am missing something crucial. Like using chopsticks, I can see them but I can’t use them efficiently.

Next I tried to find out where that energy is going after it is absorbed into my body. So I repeated and repeated absorbing energy and try to follow those branches to see where they are going. After almost hundreds of tries, I finally saw one of them and it was a shock which almost blacked out my mind.

I concentrated on the most concentrated part of the energy which gets absorbed into my lower abdomen, as it felt easy to follow than the other 8. Initially I couldn’t follow it but after repeated tries, I finally followed it to the end to see a silvery gold metal ball absorbing that energy. I stared at it like an idiot for a long time before gathering my senses. That was LILY. There’s no mistake. That was really LILY.

LILY, my AI assistance system in my world created from an element which I created. How? Why is it inside me? Why is it absorbing energy? I once again absorbed energy into my body and followed it to confirm again. As I was observing LILY, something happened. As she finished absorbing that part of energy, the ball started glowing and started slowly melting and shrunk a bit. I went almost crazy looking at it. Tons of questions started popping into my head of which I couldn’t find a suitable answer.

It took a long time before I cooled down. As one of my question felt answered, it gave rise to another load of questions. So I decided to wait and slowly try to understand the situation. I decided to postpone trying to analyze it. I felt that the present situation couldn’t be answered by any conventional methods. A lot of information is missing to make heads or tails of it.

So first I have to get my hands on some information source. If I want to do that, I have to move first. Yes, from tomorrow, let’s concentrate on moving my body around. As long as I can walk, I can learn more of this world.

*****Almost 6 months later******

I am currently sitting on my mother’s lap listening to her read the book. I discovered that even though my mind translates the sounds, I can’t read them. So I am trying to learn the language first.

At first I tried to read thinking that whatever is translating the language will also work on words too, but I was wrong. SO I started asking the maids who will always be around me to read them but even they don’t understand all of the words. Hmmm…is literacy rate that low in this world? Check on the List of Investigation…

The language is somewhat similar to Chinese dialect in my world with some twists and turns here and there. As I could almost speak all of the languages on Earth, this took almost little time to master. Now I could talk with my mother almost normally. It seems like even though my mind has the knowledge; my body has not grown enough to utilize that knowledge freely.

No problem… If I want to talk, I can do that after sometime. But since I have almost complete grasp of the language I can now try to read the books in the library to understand my current situation.

I started looking up the books in the library at my home for information on this world. After almost a year of waiting I can now gather data to try to answer some of my questions.

First of all, I have to research on the history of this world. If I do that, I can understand the basic knowledge on the working and intricacies. Hmmmm…. Let’s see… Ah, there… “Complete History of Shandra”…. That book seems like it contains important information and that is what I need the most right now…

I took down the book and started reading. It seems like the world I am currently in is called “Shandra”, which contains 3 very large continents and most of the world is covered by a vast ocean. The continents have never been fully explored. At most it can be said that humans have covered only about 40% of the total area.

The continent I am in is called “Soaring Dragon” continent as it is said that once dragons used to rule this part of the world before they were almost completely eradicated in the war between different species almost 10000 years ago.

I was gaping with my jaw in the floor when I read that part. Dragons, you say? Those mythical beings exist in this world? And they were almost eradicated? How? Who can do that? Doesn’t mean that there are existences which are stronger those dragons????WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THIS WORLD??? I fell like banging my head against the wall… Fuuuu…. Calm down, Johnny…

Anyway continuing on, the continent is divided into 4 parts by a mountain range that divides the land in the shape of an “X”. The Snow city which I am currently in is part of Northern plains ruled by His Majesty, The Emperor. And it seems like my father is the Mayor of this city.

Hmmm… that is somewhat re-assuring if you ask me… Why? Because if your father is a somewhat important figure, then you can have freedom to move around without anyone asking you unwanted questions. Even if someone is brave enough to do that, you can intimidate them with the position of your father…

Going on, it seems like this is a world which relies on what they call “Spiritual Energy Cultivation” instead of science and technology. SO that energy which I felt was called Spiritual energy huh…And the levels, basic information are described in detail in that book. I digested that information and tried to match it with what I have felt and seen in the previous year. I felt as if I have got a rough idea on my present condition but…. There is one question which has been particularly on my mind ever since I have gained consciousness…

WHY DID I END UP HERER? WHAT HAPPENED AFTER THAT EXPERIMENT? And the one who can provide the answers is currently sleeping in my body. A sense of hopelessness enveloped me. It felt as if I don’t have any energy left to take another step forward. But I can’t give up right now. First of all I have to wake up LILY. For that I need to provide her energy, but how much does she need to wake up? I can only absorb the energy and hope that she wakes up soon. And I have to decide what to do in this world. I have a hunch that I can’t go back to my original world. So I have to decide my path here… Since I have been given a fresh start, let’s explore this new world which is different from what I know… Let’s see what challenges this world will throw at me…Yes, whatever happens I am a scientist… and how many will face this type of situation like me??? Let’s make the most of it…
