《Winter Sovereign》Chapter 62: A Tale of Tea

Lilia took Serra together with her into a cafe.
It was a rather luxurious cafe with flowery and elegant designs.
"This place is quite soothing."
Serra said approvingly.
Perhaps my old friend would like this cafe as well. He always did love flowers.
By 'old friend', he's obviously referring to one of the four Sovereigns.
Not knowing his thoughts, Lilia nodded.
"My master once stayed here. She told me that she frequently visited this cafe in the past."
Lilia shared.
"Oh? So you were interested and checked it out?"
Serra asked intrigued.
Lilia nodded.
"Yes. To be honest, my master is a tea lover. She loved the tea brewed here. I'm similar to my master in that regard. So, I was eager to sample it."
She said casually.
Serra was taken back.
"Is there something wrong?"
She asked.
"No, you just remind me of someone who I used to know."
"Oh?"
"That person liked tea as well. He was a sect brother of mine and he raised plants meant to be used for tea often. He was quite a fellow."
He shared a story of an old friend.
"Oh. I guess it's true that there are some cultivators who truly love tea."
"Indeed. There are some who prefer wine but tea is much more mild and relaxing."
Serra agreed.
They begin chatting more on tea and masters who liked tea.
"When that senior brother of mine became a master, his only criteria for picking a disciple was that they loved tea."
"Really? What a coincidence, my master almost made that a requirement if only the other masters didn't stop her."
"Hahaha... we know quite the eccentric people, don't we?"
"Indeed."
They laughed as they talked more about their companions who preferred tea until a waitress came up.

"My master recommended the Ice Smile Tea."
"Oh? What an odd name. I'll have the same."
Soon, they received their orders.
"Well now... Let's see the tea your master liked."
Lilia looked on in anticipation.
They sipped tea at the same time.
At once, they quieted down.
Serra spoke first.
"This tea..."
"It's remarkable! What a pleasant cooling taste!"
Lilia finished.
"My master was right!"
"Indeed. This is delicious. I'd like to know the recipe myself."
Serra nodded.
Serra has tasted numerous types of tea in the past but this one had a unique flavor to it that rivalled some of the best tea he's tasted.
The mundane worlds are truly interesting. I wonder how many other types of tea there are that can't be found even in the Higher Realms?
Soon enough, they finished.
"Truly delicious."
"It's worthy of the highest praise."
They commented.
"Well then, should we depart?"
Serra said.
Lilia nodded.
"Yes, we still have work to do. Still, even if the tournamanet concludes, I'd still like to visit here in the future."
"I share the same sentiments. I'll also visit when I have the opportunity."
Serra spoke happily.
With that, they parted.
They still have plenty of work to do.

Reeve Williams always felt more at home in vivid virtual reality than in drab real reality, partly as an escape from the very real embarrassment of her technically inept parents, Walter and Wanda. When Reeve’s parents give her a new total-immersion virtual reality system for her birthday, Reeve reluctantly agrees to show them what it’s like…just for a few minutes. But a mistake only her technophobe father would make leaves Reeve facing the prospect of spending months in the greatly accelerated, fantastically complex, brutally unforgiving game world. With her parents. Posts will be every M/W/F. If I ever decide to try to turn Parental Controls into an ebook, I won't do so in such a way that I'd need to take down what I've posted to Royal Road. Thanks for reading!
