Soaking wet, the proctor stood tall against the five of them.
This is actually quite fun. Low level battles like this are actually quite enjoyable. I mean, high-level battles usually end in a few moments rather than drag out like this.
Serra thought to himself.
He was enjoying himself limiting his strenght and fighting alongside these kids.
I should recommend this to the others when I have the time. It's a good hobby to pass the time.
He decided to tell his old friends at a later date about this.
But for now, I need to win this battle. It won't do at all if we fail here since I won't be able to enjoy myself more in the tournament.
"Lilia, please prepare to launch a final coordinated attack. The best way to take him down is to stun him and make him unable to take any action even for a moment. I have the means to do so. When it happens, take that necklace down."
Lilia's ears perked up.
"You do? That's great!"
"What do you need to do?"
Luisa asked.
"You know that ice ball I launched that had water in it right? I plan to launch a few more and thoroughly drench him. Afterwards, I'll freeze him. It should be enough to stop him from moving for a few moments."
Serra explained.
"Well? How about it?"
Lilia asked.
"It's possible it might work..."
Luisa spoke.
"Let's go."
Serra said.
With a nod, they proceeded to go with Serra's plan.
Aies already knew the plan since she was present but Seileen did not.
Lilia and Aies charged forward. Lilia intended to inform Seileen out at front.
Meanwhile, Serra and Luisa took positions from afar intending to begin their assault soon.
"We've got a plan."

Lilia spoke to Seileen.
"Really? I'd like to hear it."
"We can't say anything for now, but first, let's just keep making coordinated attacks."
"Hm? Got it."
With that, they continued their assault.
After several minutes, they were slightly tired.
"Hahaha... What's wrong girlies? Trying the same tactic won't get you far."
He roared.
Indeed, they launched several consecutive coordinated attacks like their second assault.
The proctor dodged it by escaping through an opening or jumping above and striking down the projectiles launched at him.
During that time, Serra's ice balls were launched against him several times thoroughly drenching him.
"This is the time."
Serra spoke.
Once more, they took their positions and decided to bring out their all.
"Oho?"
The proctor saw the look in their eyes and saw that they were ready to decide things.
"A showdown is what you want, eh? Bring it!"
He roared, anticipating the challenge.
Once more, Seileen, Aies and Lilia surrounded him and attacked.
"This again? You never learn!"
He roared, disappointed.
"This isn't the same, you musclehead."
Serra smiled.
And he unleashed his ability.
Instantly freezing the water that drenched the proctor.
"Hm!? I can't move? It's cold!"
He spoke alarmed.
"Now is the time!"
They all unleashed their attacks.
This time, Serra unleashed an icicle strike.
The proctor watched helpless as their attacks drew near.
And soon...
Their attacks cut the rope tying the necklace and the jewel falls to the ground.
"Not bad. What a cunning trick, lad. So you drenched me so you could freeze the water and stop my movements even for a moment... and yet that was enough. You've passed this trial. Well done."
He proclaimed.

I hate novels that waste time describing useless stuff. If you skim over something, the chances are that something in the future will not make sense. I am an adept of "Chekhov's gun" principle; 7. I already have 31k words on my auxiliary documents, I have a plan for the story, and I will not be making changes even if someone ends up noticing some foreshadowing and figures out what will happen. The story comes first. 8. I have a wife, a job that demands 9h every day and courses related to my job (lawyer) three days of the week, it's unlikely that I will be able to do mass releases at all. I will have a healthy amount of chapters to be able to post at least 1 chapter every day continually. Don't worry. 9. I will read all the comments. I will listen to all you have to say and will try my best to accommodate demands as long as they do not hamper the path I prepared. 10. There is an arc that spans the entire novel. Also, the world is harsh, and things don't always go the MC's way. What it is not: A drama, romance, grimdark, although these elements might appear. I've had some feedback that the intro seems to set up a very rough life for the MC. There is a reason for this, and I hope you give it a try beyond the first few chapters. Do note, this is not an unreasonably harsh novel.
