The leader thought to himself as he pondered why someone like this was at his face.

He gazed at their memories and knows that they're by no means purely evil.
They may engage in espionage and thievery but they avoid killing and actually help keep the peace around the city in the slums.
They remind him of someone he once called 'big brother' in the past who used to take care of him.
"All I need is information regarding the history of the world. I'll give a small reward if you give me an accurate report."

The leader roared out in delight.
Good! This is actually a blessing in disguise!
He secretly cheered.
"Men, move out and bring me the history book and all reports on recent events!"
He ordered his subordinates.

They called out.
Within half an hour, they gathered all the information Serra seeked.
He stayed within a rather luxurious room while some attendants served him snacks and tea.
"Good... I'll call for you after I finished reading these reports."
"Yes, senior."
The leader called out respectfully then left with his subordinates.
"Now then... Time to find out what happened..."

Serra began busily browsing the reports and history book they brought.
For many long years, the world was torn in the war between two great empires.
The Red Heart Empire and the Sunlei Empire.
They clashed and fought for the throne of hte world.
Winner takes all was it truly was.
However, the damge this war brought out gave all the world great suffering.
Finally, a great hero rose up and lead his army to battle.
He defeated both empires then married the princesses of both empires to unite the two into one.
He then established dominion over the world becoming it's sole ruler.
Contrary to what other's predicted, he was benevolent and spared the royals who instigated that brutal war.
He then spent 200 years as Emperor rebuilding the land.
When he finally finished, he passed down the throne to his son and established the Winter Lotus Sect to teach the new generation his skills.
Many other great masters joined him and together, they created the Lotus Alliance where they would gather talented youths to train as their disciples and pass down their arts.
Peace reigned over the world ever since, with that mighty hero guarding this world even after thousands of years.
