"Maya, Sirene we're going to meet up with the current emperor. Will you two follow me or will you wait for me here?"
Serra questioned his two attendants.
"I'll stay here. Humans bore me."
Maya said clearly uninterested with human affairs.
As a Demonic Beast who didn't participate in the war against humans, she was never interested in humans to begin with. Maya was a plant-type demonic beast who preferred to rule her territoy in peace. Thus, though she never served the Demon King, she still treated them in a friendly manner thus the Demon King and his armies left her alone.
"I'll follow you master."
Sirene spoke respectfully.
Although Sirene despised humans, nobility the ones she hated the most, she loved and adored her master who took care of her in the past.
"There might be a bit of trouble if Sirene comes along but I can deal with it easily enough. Eisel, Meileen, you two lead the way."
The two nodded.
""Yes Ancestor.""
The two princesses were convinced that he was their ancestor now. He possessed enough power to rule the world with ease.
Even if he was lying about being their ancestor, what of it?
Rather, it was more important which side this supreme expert was on.
Supreme Experts all have a sense of pride and noble bearing.
They walked a harsh path and were lofty individuals who considered such deeds beneath them.
The two princesses headed towards the castle.
"Ah... The flowers are truly beautiful today."
A gardener spoke while humming a tune.
She gazed towards the field of blue flowers with satisfaction.
"Hm?"
She caught sight of two people running in that field of flowers.
"Those two are...? Princess Eisel and Princess Meileen!?"
She was shocked.
She received news that the two were captured.

She was worried sick and decided to dedicate herself to work while praying that they would one day return.
However, how could they return this fast!?
Heavens, was she having a daydream?
"Lein? It is you!"
Princess Eisel spoke joyfully and hugged her.
That brought her back to her senses.
"Pr-Princess! You're back safe and sound!"
From behind them, she saw a youth and a mature woman walking towards them.
"And they are...?"
"Ah...They're the ones who rescued us."
"What...? I see. Then thank you so much for rescuing our beloved princesses."
She bowed towards them.
"We'll head towards Royal Father now. Please carry on with your duties."
They bowed and left.
Lein was smiled with joy and began watering the plants again.
"What beautiful flowers... As expected of the gardener of the Imperial Castle."
However, they looked much more beautiful than before and it wasn't due to the weather or the flowers themselves.

The Mook Maker
There are many possible fates that can await those whisked away from our world to another. Some became heroes or villains, given the right power to forge their own destinies as they wished. Others, the powerless, became victims, doomed to perish, at the mercy of the cruel world filled with mystical powers they are unprepared for. A lone man that woke up alone under the alien sky was neither of those. He didn't get to choose what he was going to become - a disaster, an unwilling source of intelligent, yet violent monsters, slowly but steadily rising in numbers. Stranded in a foreign land, without even knowing the language, his creations may be the only company he would ever find. He wasn’t powerless. But was he really that much better off? It just took one wrong power.

The Queen's Guard
Friedrich Schreiner is a proud gefreiter of the Queen's Guard, 2nd Company: the finest fighting infantry on the continent (barring the Temple Guard; but please don't bring that up). Service is honourable but, with the Empire on a peacetime footing, terribly boring. Affairs take a dramatic turn for the worse when a mysterious invader uses a forgotten and taboo magical means to breach the capital, plunging the nation into chaos and endangering the royal family. With events spiraling out of control, Friedrich is entrusted with a critical mission. Will hot lead, cold steel, and his determination be enough to see him through? The Queen's Guard is what I'm calling a black powder fantasy story: it's set in a loose equivalent of the early 18th century (plus or minus a few pieces I decided I wanted or didn't want). Magic exists, but not in a spell-slinging sort of way: it's Earth-shaking undertakings or minor enchantments forged in by master craftsmen, the grand working of a secretive cabal or a slight nudge to the course of a blow. I, the eternal optimist, have a full trilogy in mind. The first book is The Prince's Arquebusier, hence the cover and the title disagreeing! This is my shot at 2021's NaNoWriMo and RR Writathon! I've hitherto been terrible at writing long-form fiction, so this is an effort to break out of that by having some accountability in being supposed to post chapters regularly. Here's hoping it works! I have an outline, but not too much detail. I'll do my best to avoid continuity errors, doing anything glaringly stupid, or otherwise fluffing my lines, but I can't make any promises on that. Please do let me know any feedback! Always happy to improve. [participant in the Nov 2021 Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Love, Napalm & Homicidal Fairies
When Nasilain started traveling between worlds, she hadn’t expected to get caught by a police officer. Nasilain: Traveling between worlds always filled Nasilain with dread. All those men with their friendly smiles and hundreds of questions. What was the last movie she watched? What music did she like? What country was she from? If Nasilain could use magic in this world, she would’ve blocked the flow of calcium ions in their jaw muscles just to shut them up. The scientific knowledge she could find on the internet using the free Wi-Fi in one of the local coffee shops forced her to tolerate the occasional interrogation. But even hipsters were better than Seth, the beefy police officer that caught her teleporting. Apparently, she wasn’t allowed to lie to him, which was fine as long as he didn’t ask about the clone. Seth: Seth had seen his share of bad luck. On normal days, it manifested as a shoulder injury that got him discharged from his SEAL team or wounding a civilian while on the police force. But landing in a parallel dimension with elves in neon green pants, a cute mad scientist with magical abilities, and swarms of carnivorous fairies? That was a first. At least Nasilain promised not to use her magic to split atoms. Content warning: This book DOES NOT contain zombie fairies. Everything else is fair game though.
