Within the Throne Room of the Recquir Castle.

Lucas Recquir was sitting in his throne.

His face was pale.

"Eisel...Meileen... Forgive your foolish father. But... I must do what I can for the clan."

He spoke with sorrow...

He received grave news that the Demonic Beasts had taken his daughters as hostages.

Enraged, he sent out his troops to intercept them but they failed.

Disappointed, he sent his retainers away so he can be alone.

"However... I won't give up. There's still hope to rescue them without losing our heirloom...."

He spoke decisively.

As a father, all he wants is the safety of his children.

But as a king, he can't allow his feelings to get in his judgement.

The lives of hundreds and thousands rests in his shoulders.

But even so...

"If only... If only our ancestor was here... We wouldn't be in such dire traits..."

He looked back at the ancient records of his clan.

On the secret library only previous clan leaders, previous emperors could access, there was a message from their ancestor.

That he still lived, and that he would one day return.

But countless years passed since then.

Many emperors hoped for his return, but he never came back.

Even so, he would still hope.

Hope that their ancestor would return to lead them to glory.

That he would save his daughters.

"Alas... How could this come to pass..."
