《The Meaning of Life》Chapter 6: Encounter

Sadly there was no meeting with elves... very sad. On a side note I am proud to say that my first hunt ever was a bit taxing but I did get something to eat.
After leaving the vicinity of the temple ruins I entered deep into the forest. For two hours I was alert the whole time I walked and made sure to be quiet while I looked for tracks or a trail that may lead to an animal for me hunt down and eat or a predator I have to avoid. There were some berries and shrubs in the trees and bushes I passed but I abstained from picking it up. Although I'm pretty hungry I don't know which one was edible or poisonous. I can't base my knowledge from earth on this world. Its better to hunt for meat instead because If its cooked well the meat should be safe to eat. Hence why I am looking for clues to food and danger. Well it all depends on the size of the footprints. But the problem was...
"Huff... hufff... *wipes sweat away* whew...!"
Every 20 minutes or so of walking, I take a short 5 minute break to recover my energy, wasting time in the process. My body is still that if a child so my stamina is considerably low, even if I my specs were upgraded when I was summoned here by Frelinia. Oh and the reason I'm a child right now? To make my foundation for growth firm. It is said that it is better to start the training of the path you wish tread on, around my age because the speed that one develops is considerably faster at the age before 25. Then it stagnates as you grow older.
Anyway back to the hunt. As I was taking a break for the 5th time. I saw movement from a bush up ahead. I had my guard up, worrying that it might be a predatory animal but luckily...
*rustle**clop clop*
It was a just a deer-like creature. Its looks pretty docile, but different from the deers I know. It has long white horns that curve backwards instead of the usual antlers. Also it has blue fur/pelt.
Although I'm a bit emotional from the glory of seeing a fantasy world creature and this being my first time looking up close to a real live animal...
*stomach rumbling*
My tummy takes priority~.
I silently casted [Assasination Spikes] and made three fiercely rotating spikes in the air above me.
I aimed them at the pseudo-dear and shot the first spike.
The pseudo-dear, as if sensing the danger, crouched down narrowly voiding the fast moving spike. It tried to ran away but unfortunately...
*splat*
My second spike was able to blow its head off. Eww... too much blood and... is that a part of the brain over there?
As I was wondering about that, I let the third spike dissipate back to mana again. I walked to the pseudo-dear's corpse, took out my glaive from my storage, and cut off its thigh. This'll be my lunch~.
I don't want the rest of the pseudo-dear to go to waste so let me use one of my newest and first utility spell!
[Ice Field]
This spell is the AOE type. It costs all of my mana to cast if I expanded it to the max size I am currently capable of which is approximately a circle 15 meters in diameter. Its really costly~. Its effects are to freeze anything inside the circle, perfect for slowing down and freezing them but... my insignificant mana pool has does not allow me to use it properly in combat so for now it shall be used to preserve this pseudo-dear.

I drain the blood out of the deer leg into a ditch by a tree then skinned it resulting in a mangled looking piece of meat due to my inexperience but still meat nevertheless.
I hold it up using MFM: [Telekinesis] while gathering firewood.
Then I lit it up a fire using my third attack spell called [Compressed Fireball].
Its basically a ball of flame that is compressed to the point that it looks like a mini-sun. It is is a channeling type spell and its size is adjustable. Once it is thrown and hits something it would explode like liquid napalm. Good for crowded enemies~.
I then began roasting the deer meat. Thankfully, [Telekinesis] only needs my concentration and will to use otherwise I would have ran out of mana by now.
By the way, I learned this outdoor stuff from the
survival shows I liked to watch in my free time back on Earth.
Oh right I haven't really thought of my life back then. My full name was Krey Ericson but I just like to go by Krey. My parents were Adrian and Tessa Ericson but that's not important. They were already dead.
They died when I was a kid but left me some inheritance money. I lived independently with some help from others.
I worked part-time at the age of 10 all the way until I was 17. I do go to school and made decent grades even if I was busy. In my free time I liked to watch anime and different kinds of documentaries, read manga and novels. I had a few friends but none that is noteworthy.
Apart from my attachment to eastern pop culture, I have no important ties back on earth. I think its good that I came here. Who knows maybe I'll find something special here other than magic.
As I reminisce my life on earth the meat has finished roasting.
I took a bite out of it and it taste pretty good. There were no spices but its juicy complexion makes up for it.
I finished eating the whole thing and resumed my journey. One hour and three breaks later I found a stretch of road but...
"Give us your valuables and women now! There will be no trouble afterwards!"
I saw a terribly cliche situation...
There are a group of men wearing tattered leather armor, dirty clothes and wielding rusty blades encircling a carriage as well as a group of six people. Four men and two women. Two of them, who by the way has plain faces, are dressed up in plain clothes, and iron chainmail, greaves and gauntlets. One is wielding an axe and the other a sword. Another man is wearing some fancy clothes. A stereotype of a merchant I guess. One woman is dressed in white garbs with yellow trimmings and is holding a staff and has a cute face and the right curves in the right place. What really caught my attention was the other two... beastmen! Haha, yes. They look alike so they must be twins huh?~ There are two dog type beastmen, one a man the other a woman.
They have black hair and their ears and tails ere of the same color. Aww~ those cute dog ears and tails are relaxing to look at. The guy is wearing leather armor and holding two daggers. The girl also has the same get-up but she has a bow and arrow. Kuuhh~ My otaku blood is boiling~! Hail fantasy world fights! Huzzah!. The group of six look tense and nervous. The girl in white... probably a healer is even faintly trembling, hushed fear evident in her eyes. The sixteen men surrounding them has sinister grins on their faces while throwing lewd glances at the girls.

"Bullshit!! You'll kill us all even if we complied and do you think we'll just stand around here and let you take our money and our girls without doing anything?!? I will not let you touch Sarah and Lily!"
The swordsman screamed out of frustration. Although the axeman (I guess?) and the dual dagger wielder didn't say anything I could tell from their expressions that they are also angry. The merchant unexpectedly has a tense and solemn face on. His right hand is holding a quite thick stick (no pun intended) seemingly preparing to fight to the death as well. Aren't merchants usually greedy and care only for themselves? At least that's what I noticed about merchants in the novels I read. Oh well. Let's not be prejudiced.
"Hahaha. That's fine by me! I'll let you guys watch as we fucked those girls up before killing you."
" Boss can I have the dog chick over there? I wanna lick them ears"
" Yeah. I'd like to suck on them busty nipples of the healer over there!"
" Alright but the first taste goes to me!"
The bandits talked among themselves about which girl they wanna fuck as the two girls faces become pale while the guys get more enraged minus the merchant. He still has that solemn face. Somehow I'm frustrated that my view of merchants are being changed in this moment.
More than anything, I am appalled... at the bandit's stupidity. Even if they outnumber the six as their numbers are eighteen, based on how they're not serious anf the amateuristic way they hold their blades... I'd say half of them would die. Really stupid.
I am irritated. If there's one thing I don't like in a fantasy world it would be rape and involuntary slavery. Killing is not good or bad in my line of thinking. Its just a necessity. Just like the need to eradicate this bandits. Based on my mana pool and accuracy, Ill be able to kill at least six of them before running out of mana. My semi-passive raw mana absorption and refined mana generation would fully recover my mana after 20 minutes and if I meditate and concentrate on absorbing raw mana then refining it my mana would recover in 5 minutes but... that is plenty of time for them to find and kill me.
*sigh* I'll have to use my glaive and fight in close combat... even if my current strength and skill is literally not enough to kill all of them, I just have to support my body and glaive with 《Telekinesis》... I think my head will hurt after this but on the bright side it doesn't cause any mana to use, only my concentration is needed along with a bit of mental stamina.
I casted [Assasination Spike] X8 as that's how much my mana pool should be able to support but...
"Hmm?"
My glaive's gemstone let out a dull glow and I felt warmth in my chest and I noticed that my mana pool which should be empty by now was diminished by a mere quarter.
Eh?... EEEEHHHH?!?!
The glaive has the setting to reduce the costs of spells by 75%!? Oi oi oi... ain't this a bit too much. I understand the cheat that Frelinia gave me, though a bit OP, I still needed some sort of advantage to survive and help her out but isn't she too trusting or maybe too desperate? Heeeyyy~ Frelinia-san why the heck are you giving an OP item right off the bat! What if it was someone who is evil or unpleasant? Won't you have more trouble than before if that happens? Not that I'm evil or anything.
Don't tell me that the egg and necklace has some special effects as well!? Like the egg hatching to a powerful beast or the necklace being able to revive me when I died... okay the egg theory is possible but the necklace theory is too far-fetched and impossible.
Haahh... whatever. I guess I got a bit angry cause there's no challenge anymore... Sorry 'bout that Frelinia. Not that she can hear me.
I casted another [Assasination Spike] X16. I have 24 floating and rotating spikes at both my sides as well as above me. Okay. With this I should be fine even if I miss a few times~. Oh! Looks like the bandits are attacking. Not on my watch! I shot four [Assasination Spikes] at them and... I severely underestimated the power of Divine Art: Magic Creation Array.
*splat* *splat* *blood spraying*
"Uuugggh!!"
"AAAAAHHH!!"
"*coughs blood*... W-what the...?* falls to the ground*"
"What was that?!"
"A mage!"
"'Kyaah!!"
One spike blew a bandit's head off like with the pseudo-dear but hit another bandit in the knee, severing his leg. The second spike pierced straight through a bandit's chest now a gaping hole, blood flowing down profusely and hit another two bandits. One had his right arm sheared off and the other had his head cut off but only at the base of the neck. The third similarly turned another bandit into mince meat and ended a bandit's manhood right then and there. The fourth only hit a single bandit but still got insta-killed. All in all 5 bandit's were killed, 2 heavily injured, and 1 became a eunuch.
I did imagine the spell to have powerful penetration potential but... I never expected it to be able to easily make a hole in a human body while still giving of the same damage to another target. As expected of a god's personal skill I guess? I surprisingly didn't miss and were able to reduce their battle strength by a lot.
But... I'm kinda hurt. I was trying to save you guys and all you gave me was a "kyaah"? Shouldn't you be saying "A mage has come! we are saved" or something? Oh wait, I still haven't shown myself. I walked out of the bushes, made a few rustling sounds in the process and revealed myself to them. I must look pretty intimidating right now huh~? With spinning spikes floating around me all and holding a unique weapon i. And as expected the bandits visibly flinched and some were frozen stiff in fear. The six people I wanted to save were looking at me with gapin jaws with the healer girl staring at me intently with shining eyes. This lasted for ten seconds until finally the bandit boss who talked about raping the girls broke the silence by saying-
"W-who a-are you? W-what d-do y-y-you want?"
He stuttered while asking those two questions. Now how should I answer this?~ Should I say "I am Death. Your time has come" or something? Nah. Let's see here, I am a kid (body-wise) so I'll just be straightforward.
"I am Krey. Uncles, please die quickly okay?"
I say in a cute voice while tilting my head and smiled sweetly while willing eight [Assasination Spikes] spikes to shoot towards the remaining bandits.

Galactic Fist of Legend
In the year 2018 a bright star appeared near Earth. Humanity as a whole was briefly introduced to a race of beings far beyond their understanding. During that brief interaction a proclamation was made, Defeat the Grand Emissary or become the eternal slaves of those who had arrived at Earth. The only chance for victory was for people all across the globe to make a choice. When prompted to become a champion and a play a bizarre game of life or death they could choose yes or no. Those who chose no, went about their lives afterward. All memory of the event was lost despite the fact that their very existence as a free species hung by a single thread. Will those who said yes manage to survive the horror of the game and become strong enough to defeat the Grand Emissary. Can one of them become... The Galactic Fist of Legend. Also, it's a comedy. Pretty obvious, right? Notes: This story will contain graphic violence, stupid humor, nudity, sexiness, and maybe I'll give the main character a pet cat or something. I don't know yet. Still, you need to be pretty mature to properly take care of a pet. Notes2: This story is my answer to stories such as Gantz, Terror Infinity, Battle Royale, Btoom!, and strangely enough... Captain N: The Video Game Master. It is an original story, but it does seek to give a similar vibe to some of those tales of legend. However, it is not meant to be an overly serious tale as I have decided that the new stories that I release in the coming year will be mostly comedies.
