Still can't soft delete, and I still have exams until November 13, 2015.
Also, moonrunes that are not from google translate. Haha!
------------------------------
"Hrn, this is bad." he said, "From the previous four, it became ten, and the four are increasing in speed towards this place."
After a while, aside from the screams and gunfire, they also heard powerful roars in the distance.
"That roar..." said Cavaron, "It doesn't sound like it came from a beast of this world, does it, Maguro?"
Maguro also frowned when he heard the roar, "Indeed." he replied, "The roar was too vicious for a Terran beast."
"Oh? Out of the ten, only six remain." said Cavaron, "I still hear gunfire but, I only hear one source. Whoops, they're here... By the gods! What the hell are those!?"
Finally, the six entities he had detected came into view. It was one soldier fighting off a pack of five giant black dogs. The soldier eventually lost their helmet from a rough landing, and revealed the soldier to be a young Asian woman. The woman's rifle eventually lost ammo, and she pulled out her sidearm. An obvious last stand as she was surrounded on all sides.
Suddenly, two dogs from the pack broke off, and paused to look at where Cavaron and the others were standing. Cavaron noticed this, as well as Maguro and Aimi, and prepared for a possible attack.
"Dogs... Didn't expect them to be dogs..." said Cavaron, "Damn their acute sense of smell that even the soldier is looking at us."
Maguro held Cavaron's arm, "Cavaron. We must save that woman!" and shouted.
"Is she someone you know?" asked Cavaron.
Maguro shook his head, "No, but her uniform has the Japanese flag embroidered on the sleeve!"
Cavaron looked at the woman. Indeed, on her sleeve was a white rectangle with a red circle at the center. He, then, looked at the giant black dogs encircling the woman and those that were looking at their direction.
"Alright, but close your eyes." said Cavaron, "I'm going to have the flames produce a bright flash of light. After that, grab any gun you want from my collection. We will use this world's weapons to attract less attention."
Maguro nodded.
"Three, two, one..." counted Cavaron, "FLASHBANG!"
"FWIPIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNGGG."
The flames that wrapped them exploded with a sharp sound. At the same time, a blinding flash erupted from where they stood. The flash effectively blinded the dogs as they flinched from it, the woman as well.
Right after the flash, while the others were still blinded, Cavaron created a portal ring to his inventory and poured out a pile of guns. From rifles to shotguns, from sidearms to submachine guns, he seemingly had every Terran gun in his arsenal. Cavaron grabbed an assault rifle from the pile as well as a sidearm, Maguro didn't bother looking through the pile and found himself a submachine gun. As for Aimi, having no experience with firearms, settled with the ordinary bow she first received from Cavaron.
"Ey, bitches!" shouted Cavaron, "Eat hot lead! RATATA! RATATA!"
Cavaron, like a trained marksman, shot in bursts, surprising Maguro and Aimi.
"How do you know trigger discipline?" asked Maguro, "How many Terran worlds or Terran people have you met?"
"Ha! You learn a lot once you go past five hundred years!" replied Cavaron, "I'm an old man in a sexy man's body!"
"Pfft!" burst out Aimi and nearly misfired an arrow, "Ahahaha!"
"What? I am sexy." said Cavaron, "Anyway, short controlled bursts all the way! RATATA! RATATA!"
Eventually, the dogs had recovered from their daze and found themselves under fire from Cavaron and Maguro.
"Aroooo..." a dog howled, and another dog broke away. Two dogs remained engaged with the woman, while three dogs engaged with Cavaron and the others.
"Incoming rabies!" shouted Cavaron, "Eat eight millimeters of hot Terran lead! RATATA! RATATA!"
"Sheesh, I can't even take this seriously anymore." commented Maguro, "Uh-oh, BRRRRTTTTT! BRRRRRTTTTT!"
Just as Cavaron and Maguro's shots hit the dog-like creatures, the dogs merely flinched from the stopping power of the bullets. It halted them temporarily but they didn't fall.
"What!? Conventional weapons didn't work!?" cried Cavaron, "No wonder only that woman remained. Shit! Maguro! I'm going far into the future for these!"
"What do you— a railgun!?" cried out Maguro as he saw a strange and huge gun in Cavaron's hands, "By the gods! How the hell did you get ahold of that!?"
"When you've passed eight hundred years, you get to collect a lot of crazy shit!" replied Cavaron, "Eat supercharged hypersonic bullets going past Mach seven! VRRRRNG... SUPER ELECTROMAGNETIC WEAPON, RAILGUN! BANG!"
As Cavaron's railgun produced a bright light, high voltage electricity processed through the gun, and with a sonic boom, launched a five millimeters by ten millimeters tungsten bullet at hypersonic speeds at one dog-like creature. Everything happened in an instant. Due to the sonic boom, Cavaron was pushed back by half a meter as his feet dug into the asphalt, and the dog... the dog-like creature disintegrated into nothingness. In addition, a large hole tore through five consecutive buildings behind the disintegrated dog-like creature.
Seeing their fellow dog disappear into nothing after hearing the sound barrier rip apart, the dog-like creatures howled again, "AROOOOOO..." and subsequently retreated. Seeing the dog-like creatures retreat, Cavaron displaced his railgun, and dropped to the ground on his knees.
"I expected a somewhat soft recoil, but I didn't expect the boom to be THAT harsh." he commented, "Ouch... No wonder that was made for ship-to-ship combat."
"By the gods, man!" shouted Maguro, "Warn us the next time you use it."
"Hey, it was my first time using it!" replied Cavaron, "Although I did hear some physics tidbits, I didn't think Mach seven would be that bad! Anyway, what of the soldier woman?"
Cavaron and Maguro found the woman staring at Aimi after the fight. Aimi noticed the woman's stare and felt a bit uncomfortable.
「ジョウイ高校の制服?」 said the woman.
"Holy fuck, what did she just say?" asked Cavaron, "Maguro, translate, please."
Maguro looked at Cavaron with an annoyed expression, but nevertheless translated for him. "She said, 'Jou-i High School uniform?' to Aimi." he said, "Now that I think about it, Aimi did attend that high school. That settles it, we are in Japan."
"How are you so sure?" asked Cavaron, "For all we know, she could just be part of a task force or coalition on foreign ground."
"Because Japan doesn't have a military to engage in disputes outside their country." replied Maguro, "See, there are the characters 「自衛隊」 or 'JSDF' on her uni— wait... I can't find the patch..."
"I knew I felt something weird with her movements." commented Cavaron, "Her movements were too precise and well-performed under stress, not unlike battle-hardened veterans."
Maguro approached the woman, 「あの、自衛隊でいますか?」 and asked a question.
The woman blinked twice at Maguro before replying, 「いいえ、私は合併タースクフォース143でいます。」

"Hey!" shouted Cavaron, "Non-moonrune speaker here!"
"Sensei asked if the woman was from the Japanese Self Defense Forces." said Aimi, "She answered that she was from Combined Task Force 143."
"Combined Task Force 'I Love You'?" wondered Cavaron, "That's funny."
"Eh?" uttered Aimi, "What do you mean?"
"1-4-3." replied Cavaron, "I-Love-You. 'I' has one letter, 'Love' has four letters, and 'You' has three letters. 1-4-3, I-Love-You. Unless you prefer I-Hate-You since that works, too."
Aimi tilted her head in confusion, and Cavaron just shrugged. "Never mind." he said, "So, is this place Japan or not... Or better yet... Hey, lady!"
Cavaron approached the woman. Maguro noticed a small fluctuation of mana around Cavaron's finger, "Cavaron, what do you plan on doing?"
Cavaron grinned at Maguro and, with his fast reflexes, swiped his mana-infused finger on the woman's forehead.
The woman, unable to react in time, flinched from the blur of Cavaron's hand. 「え?」 she uttered just before she felt something. She grasped her head as she felt a sharp pain shoot through her mind, and she fell screaming on her knees.
「っ........く........きゃああー!!!」 she cried out, "What... What the hell did you do to me!?"
"Oh, goody!" exclaimed Cavaron, "I can now understand you. Can you understand me?"
The woman stared blankly at Cavaron before replying, "How... How can..."
Cavaron smiled, "Good." and said, "We can understand each other."
Maguro heavily grabbed Cavaron, and turned him to face each other. "What the hell are you thinking!?" he shouted, "You know we should never bring an unknowing into our world!"
"Eh? But that's too bothersome." replied Cavaron, "Besides, with this, I don't have to rely on anybody for translations."
"If Yggdrasil catches wind of this, I won't be helping you out." declared Maguro.
"Ha! Who gives a damn about that old fart?" replied back Cavaron, "He is too much of a stick in the mud! Look at me! I am as old as him, maybe a bit older, but I haven't gone senile and boring!"
Maguro took a step back, "What the hell happened to you?" and said in disbelief, "What happened to the calm Cavaron we all knew!?"
"Oh, buzz off." said Cavaron, "I'm fine. I haven't felt this freedom for such a long, long time! Hahaha!"
While Maguro and Cavaron were arguing, Aimi had gone to the woman's side. "Are you all right?" she asked, "I don't know what senpai was thinking, but I doubt he meant to harm you. I mean, when I first met him, I experienced the same pain as you did."
The woman stared at Aimi with disbelieving eyes, "Who are you people?" and asked.
Aimi placed a finger on her cheek in thought, "Who we are... huh?" and uttered back, "Well, since we've come this far... I live in this world, and those two brought me back home. As for who they are, I think it's best to have them answer on their own."
Seeing that the two men had finished their argument with Cavaron just leaving Maguro alone, Cavaron walked towards the woman.
"So then, question and answer time!" exclaimed Cavaron, "First up, 'who are you?' Only then will we tell you who we are. Yes, I heard your conversation."
The woman, as usual, stared at Cavaron.
"Well? Any answer?" asked Cavaron, "Or were you just smitten by how handsome I am?"
"Senpai..." said Aimi with an annoyed expression.
"Okay, okay." replied Cavaron, "Well, miss soldier?"
"I... I am Sergeant Major Tanaka Aiko." she finally replied.
"Good." praised Cavaron, "I'm Cavaron, no surname. Nice to meetcha!"
"I'm Aimi." introduced Aimi, "Aoyama Aimi."
Aiko swiftly turned her head towards Aimi, "Aoyama!?" and cried out, "How are you related to Aoyama Daichi!?"
"Daichi? He's my father." replied Aimi, "He's also a colonel in the Japanese Army."
This time, Maguro reacted to what Aimi said, "Army? Not Self Defense Forces?"
"Yeah, we got rid of Article 9 stating the outlawing of war as a means of settling international disputes involving Japan." replied Aimi, "I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't know. I mean, it was just done a year ago."
"And that action was because of this coming war?" asked Maguro.
"No, this wasn't expected." replied Aiko, "This war only began two weeks ago."
"That's roughly when Aimi was summoned." said Cavaron, "Lucky you, you avoided the brunt of it. So your pops is still alive, eh?"
"Yes! Her father is still alive! He leads the Japanese detachment here in the country!" exclaimed Aiko, "My unit was on the way back to base when we encountered those garms."
"Garms? Those dogs?" wondered Maguro, "Dogs of hell, huh."
"Yes." replied Aiko, "A man by the name of Alexander Dalaram employed those monsters, along with red-eyed and white-haired people to send this world into war."
Cavaron raised a brow at what Aiko said, "Red-eyed and white-haired? I suppose Colonel Aoyama knows more than you, yeah?" he asked.
Aiko nodded.
"Great!" exclaimed Cavaron. He picked up Aiko, and carried her over his shoulders. "Judging from the direction of where you were headed, the base should be to the west, and I can detect a huge mass of entities two kilometers from here. Let's go!"
Cavaron ran off to the west with Aiko screaming on his back from the near breakneck speed of his sprint. Maguro and Aimi were momentarily stunned by his actions, and only ran off after a after realizing Cavaron left them behind. As for Aomi, she just rid on Aimi's shoulders. Their bodies, infused with mana, sprinted towards where the base was presumed to be.
Along the way, they encountered more garms, but Cavaron and the rest merely passed by them. With their present speed, none but a high-speed vehicle could catch up to the mana-infused runners.

Former version:
Spoiler : "We are gods!" announced Cavaron with arms wide open, "And we are here to— ow! Maguro!'
As Cavaron tries to fool the woman, Maguro popped a nerve, and gave Cavaron a drop kick from behind, shouting, "The hell are you saying!? Stop making this even more complicated than it already is!"
Maguro approached the woman and helped her up, "Sorry about that." he told her, "My companion here has gotten a bit crazy after living for so long. While we are not gods, we do have otherworldly abilities. Tell me, are you familiar with manga and animé?"
"Ah, yes. I am." replied the woman, "I grew up with those, but what does that... oh... Oh!"
"You catch on quick, that's good." said Maguro, "We are like those fantastical people you've read or watched about in fictional settings. However, your fictions are our reality. I hope that you can understand from that."
The woman stared at Maguro for a while, then at Cavaron who was rubbing the back of his head, then finally at Aimi and Aomi. She stared fixedly at Aimi, then noticed what she was wearing.
"That uniform..." said the woman, "I know that uniform. Are you a Japanese?"
"Ah, yes. I am." replied Aimi, "I am an inhabitant of this world, but was summoned off to another world."
"That's a Jyou-i High uniform, right?" asked the woman.
"Yes, it is." replied back Aimi, "My name is Aoyama Aimi, a pleasure to meet you."
"Oh yeah, we hadn't introduced ourselves yet, no?" commented Cavaron, "Just call me 'Erasyl', no other names needed."
Maguro and Aimi looked at Cavaron, wondering why he used a different name. Just as Maguro was about to ask, Cavaron looked at him straight in the eye to go with the flow. Maguro stopped, and signalled to Aimi to stay quiet.
"And like what my companion stated earlier, my name is Hirosaka Maguro." said Maguro, "Although I am a Japanese, I am not a resident of this 'Earth' but of another 'Earth'."
"Oh, and this little girl is Aomi." added Aimi hurriedly, "She is a... familiar of sorts."
Aomi looked at the woman with big eyes. When Aimi urged her to greet the woman, Aomi shouted, "HELLO!" at the woman enthusiastically.
The woman momentarily covered her ears from Aomi's loud voice before introducing herself in return.
"I see, while it might take me some getting used to, do take care of me." said the woman, "I guess it's my turn to introduce myself. I am Sergeant Major Tanaka Aiko, and I am part of the Japanese Army."
Maguro looked at Aiko, "The JSDF became a full military? Since when?"
"Back in the year 2014, there was a reinterpretation of Article 9 that used to bar us from using force." replied Aiko, "Then an amendment occurred in 2015 transforming the entire self-defense forces into a full military upon the entering the year due to the heat we were receiving from China over contested territories, as well as nuclear tests by North Korea. These aren't even including the fact that our defense budget, from a mere 1% of our GDP, had become about 2% of our GDP. Of course, compared to the United States, ours is a far cry from their defense spending. Still, it is a quantitative leap for Japan."
Cavaron and his companions listened to Aiko's explanation.
"But, who would have thought that World War 3 would not start in the Far East nor in West Asia, neither did we think that war wouldn't erupt between the US and the Russians. We didn't even think of the possibility that World War 3 would no longer be a nuclear war, but instead be a genetic war."
Maguro and Cavaron perked up, "Hold up." said Cavaron, "Maguro, did this world have any sort of capability to do so? Genetic wars, I mean."
"No, it should not." replied Maguro, "At least, not in the current era. Sergeant Major, do you suppose you could tell us more?"
Aiko paused for a while, "I... I really don't know much, only what the higher-ups tell me." she replied, "What I do know is, the dogs earlier, and many more, are the source of the war to begin with. We are not fighting ordinary beings anymore, but genetically modified soldiers and animals, and by genetically modified, when fiction has literally turned into reality past the realms of common sense and logic."
"You know, there is one question I forgot to ask." said Cavaron, "Where on earth is this place? And quite literally, mind you."
Aiko blinked twice at Cavaron before replying, "Oh, right. You're otherworlders." she commented, "We are standing in the former site of Japan's Imperial Palace in Tokyo. Welcome to Japan."
"Oh, good. You're home, Aimi." said Cavaron, "Now, let's go find your home... Any idea where it is, by the way?"
Aimi pulled out a card from her skirt pocket, Cavaron raised a brow as she did so. "Here's my ID." she said, "Without landmarks or a map, I doubt I could find it."
Her ID stated:
Surname: Aoyama
First Name: Aimi
Sex: Female
Date of Birth: 2000-09-07
Country: Japan
Phone Number: +8192-385-3089
Address: 31-1, Nihonbashi Hamacho 2-chome, Chuo-ku, Tokyo
"Well, we are in Tokyo already." said Maguro, "Gods, I hate this country's address system. It is very easy to get lost without a map. Even taxis get lost around here. Say, Sergeant Major, would you know of this location?"
Aiko looked at Aimi's ID, and gasped, "These characters... Wait, how are you related to Aoyama Daichi?"
"Daichi? He's my father. Why?" replied Aimi.
"My god! I need to take you back to base!" cried Aiko as she tried pulling Aimi somewhere, "The one heading the remaining Japanese Army is none other than your father, Colonel Aoyama!"
"Ooh, a military man's daughter?" said Cavaron, "No wonder you had good affinity for combat. Let's follow, Maguro."
Cavaron and Maguro followed behind Aiko as Aimi got carried off to wherever their base might be. Along the way, however, they encountered the same dogs as earlier but were taken care of Cavaron, personally. In the end, Aiko got easily accustomed to them unlike other dense or naïve Japanese would.
---
After an hour of going through the ruined remains of Tokyo, they finally arrived at an open area with military installations. Around its perimeter were towers and gun emplacements, as well as a number of battle tanks and infantry fighting vehicles escorted by squads of infantry patrolling the surroundings.
Getting in view of the base entrance was a military checkpoint. Before it were lines of civilians requesting refuge into the base. As soon as Aiko was within sight by a sentry...
"TOMA— Tanaka-souchou!? Oi!!! Minna!! Tanaka-souchou ga kita!!" yelled the sentry.
Soon, all of the soldiers around the immediate area turned to look.
"Souchou!"
"Tanaka-souchou!!"
"Souchou-sama!!"
The sudden greetings bewildered Cavaron and the others. "Well, aren't you popular." commented Cavaron, "The base's idol, I suppose?"
Aiko's face flushed deep red from Cavaron's comment in embarrassment, "Shigoto ni modore!" she yelled at the soldiers. Immediately, the soldiers went back to work in a hurry.
Aiko turned to the others, "Well, let's go in." and said with a smile.
"Souchou-sama~" teased Cavaron, "Tanaka-sou— ow! Maguro!?"
Maguro punched Cavaron's side to shut him up. "Okay, okay. I'll behave." replied Cavaron when Maguro pulled out a needle.
Aiko led Cavaron and the others deeper inside the base.
...
Within a building labeled as "軍司令部" which was read by everybody else other than Cavaron as "Headquarters", Aiko led the group into a room where dozens of voices could be heard shouting and yelling at one another.
Aiko stood before a sentry and showed an ID. The sentry inspected her ID and looked at Cavaron and the others. Noticing that action, Aiko hurried to tell the sentry something inaudible to the others. The sentry understood, and gave way to Aiko's group.
Upon entry, the sound of the door opening attracted the attention of every person inside the room. Within, there was a large table with a map of Japan, many papers strewn about, and an occasional cup of coffee or a bottle of energy drinks. The people surrounding the table were all in military uniforms, and one could see the bags under their eyes.
"Souchou Tanaka Aiko, joushimasu!" Aiko saluted before the officers inside the room. All the others saluted back.
Cavaron went closer to Maguro's ear to whisper, "I just realized that I can't understand shit. I'm going to borrow your mind."
"What do you mean?" asked Maguro, "How are yo— what's that flame? Cava— Erasyl, what are you planning to do with that flame!?"
Cavaron produced a small translucent flame, and enveloped Maguro's head with it. Fortunately, they were ignored by the others as they were listening to Aiko's report so Cavaron's flame was unseen and unhindered. Once Maguro's head was fully wrapped by the flame, little by little, Cavaron could understand what the others were talking about.
"I. LOVE. THIS. FLAME." commented Cavaron, "Cursed or not, it literally breaks the rules! Well, most rules, if not all."
"... and, finally, I found your daughter." Aiko concluded her report. Cavaron could now understand everything they had said because of his flame. "Miss Aoyama, your father, Colonel Aoyama Daichi."
Aimi stepped forward, and was finally seen by the most prominent person in the room. With medals and insignias stuck to almost every part of his uniform, an aged Japanese man stared at Aimi with eyes full of tears.
"Aimi... Aimi..." uttered Daichi. He suddenly sprang from his seat, and flew towards Aimi with arms wide open, "AIMI!!!"
However, as if on reflex, Aimi deftly evaded Daichi's embrace, and Daichi slammed onto the floor next to Cavaron.
"Aimi! How could you do this to papa!?" cried Daichi, his face had gone dirty from snot and tears, "You've gone missing for so long, and this is how we meet again!?"
Aimi flinched at her realization on what happened, "Sorry, papa. I thought it was an attack so I evaded on reflex." apologized and replied Aimi, "I guess Senpai's training was too effective."
Daichi seemed as if he heard something strange, "Senpai? Training?" he said, "What do you mean? Who are these men with you? And, is that a child?"
Daichi finally faced Cavaron, Maguro, and Aomi.
"Greetings, Mr. Aoyama." greeted Maguro, "Do you remember me?"
Daichi stared at Maguro and recognized him, "Dr. Hirosaka? It's been so long. How are you?" greeted Daichi, "I didn't recognize you without your subordinates. And this person is?"
"Ah, I'm sorry, he can't speak our language, but I can translate for you, if you need." apologized Maguro, "Go on, Erasyl, introduce yourself."
Cavaron looked at Maguro, then at Daichi, "Hey man, the name's Erasyl. I'm your daughter's senior and teacher. And, to be honest, I really want to make things easier for all of us."
As Maguro translated what Cavaron said, he realized something wrong with the introduction.
"Wait, are yo— GODDAMMIT, CAVARON!?" cried Maguro in shock.
Cavaron's finger glowed with concentrated mana, and instantaneously drew his finger on Daichi's forehead. As such, he experienced the same migraine as Aimi and Aiko had from receiving knowledge.
"Wha... Urgh... AAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!" screamed Daichi. Everybody in the room became alarmed, and, aside from Tanaka, everybody drew their sidearms. All guns were aimed at Cavaron.
Cavaron ignored the others, and watched Daichi squirm in pain for a while. After that, he stood up, and groggily pulled out his sidearm, threatening Cavaron.
"What did you do to me!? Answer or I will kill you!" cried Daichi.
"The hell is this? Deja vu?" commented Cavaron, "But hey, at least we could understand each other now."
Maguro fell back and collapsed. He held his head, and looked down. "Oh god, oh god, oh god... Why, Cavaron, why?????????????"
Cavaron looked at the panicking Maguro, "Why? Why not?" and replied, "It feels good to break away from the chains that bind you. Hehehe. Now then, Daichi."
Cavaron put his arm over Daichi's shoulders, "I'll tell you everything that has happened to Aimi, then you'll tell us everything that happened here while she was gone. Okay?"
-------------------
Has Cavaron's actions become too erratic or random? Makes a decision then goes against his earlier decision? Can't make up his mind or something?
Good. That's how it should be.
