I can't soft delete the threads for some reason, so I'll just settle with editing the entire post instead. The former versions will be placed in spoiler tags for my convenience, or for your curiosity.

Here is the rewritten prologue.

----------------------------

Within an unknown room, a young man with black hair and fairly tanned skin was watching news reports displayed on a large monitor. The young man had a bored expression as he switched from one channel after another.

"Pzzt... In other news, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria had bombed—pzzt... The Russian Premier had ordered the Russian Air Force to proceed with bombing runs—pzzt... Tensions rise as a Chinese naval vessel inadvertently sunk a Philippine fishing vessel on the South China Sea last week—pzzt... The Armed Forces of the Philippines have begun their attack on Pamana Island off the eastern coast of the Philippines—pzzt... Who is Alexander Dalaram? How did a philanthropist loved by many become the number one most—pzzt..."

While the young man scanned the channels, a white-haired, red-eyed, and pale-skinned young woman entered the room.

"Father, we have visitors." said the young woman, "What are your orders?"

"Welcome them, of course." replied the young man, "With a full-course meal."

"Yes, Father." she answered. She turned to leave but before she could do so...

"How are the GODS?" asked the young man, "How long until Judgment Day?"

"Approximately in three weeks, Father." she replied, "If my brothers and sisters successfully deliver the components, we can expedite everything within two weeks."

"Good, good." commented the young man, "Now then, we best not keep our guests waiting."

"Yes, Father." she answered.

The young white-haired and red-eyed woman left the young man alone in the room. The young man, with a press of a button, switched the monitor to display the outside. Outside, a fleet of naval warships and transport ships could be seen approaching from a distance. Their destination was the very place where the young man was, an island, Pamana Island.

Pamana Island was filled with military installations, factories, and housing units. The inhabitants of the islands, however, were unlike the young man himself, but were like the young woman earlier. They all had white hair, red eyes, and very pale white skin, and they were all inside bipedal war machines akin to what could be seen in fiction and comics.

The young man approached the monitor, and pushed another button. Immediately, the monitor changed, and displayed the faces of many people. From all walks of life, the young man was looking at over two hundred people on the monitor, and all of these people were also looking at the young man.

"What is it that you want, Mr. Dalaram?" asked a woman on the monitor, "We have no time for games."

The young man was Alexander Dalaram, and he just smiled at the woman's question.

"Ja, if this is a joke, this is one bad joke that could cost your life." said another man, "Our soldiers will hunt down your... 'children' the moment they enter Germany."

Alexander just laughed off their threats, "Hahahaha. I'm just tired." he said, "This world is still not united, always upholding the status quo... IT'S SO BORING!"

His outburst surprised the people on the monitor.

"Boring!? We are maintaining the peace of this world!" shouted back another man, "You just made every nation your enemy! Even your home!"

"Not really." replied Alexander, "This peace is just an illusion that you had created. If this was true peace, we wouldn't be having this meeting, no? For humans to unite, they need a common enemy, and that's just it. I will be your common enemy, a perfect sacrifice for days to come."

"You're insane." commented another man, "Sacrifice? At the expense of many others!?"

"Death is an effective threat." replied Alexander, "Well, like I said, I will be your enemy. After dealing with the Armed Forces of the Philippines, in thirty hours, the party will begin, and the flames of chaos will run wild and free. Oh, by the way, our conversation is also being broadcasted out to the public. Hahahahaha... This will be fun. Please prepare everything you can prepare, including nukes."

"What do yo—pzzt..."

Alexander switched the monitor back to the outside, and he grabbed a microphone from nearby.

"To all children!" he announced, "Begin the welcome party!"

Immediately, large towers that stood around the island opened up, and revealed large guns. The guns were all aimed towards the approaching fleet. Once they had finished adjustments, they immediately fired at will. The guns lit up along the barrels, and within an eye blink, produced split-second but very far-reaching blasts of light.

"FFFFFFNNNNNNGGGG!!!"

The blasts of light tore through columns of frigates, corvettes, fast-attack crafts, and landing crafts, effectively reducing the Philippine fleet down to a third. The remaining naval vessels, although they were not hit directly, remained dead in the water due electromagnetic waves emitted by the blasts. At the same time, squadrons of attack aircrafts came in from the west. Fighters and helicopters approached the island.

"Sigh... And this is why I kept telling them to focus on naval and aerial assets." sighed Alexander, "But did they listen? Nope, they did not. Now, their remaining assets will sink to the bottom of the sea. Swat them away, my children."

Along Pamana Island's coasts were a network of antiaircraft emplacements. However, they weren't using missiles nor kinetic weapons. When an antiaircraft emplacement faced the incoming squadron, it emitted a short burst of light.

"NNGNNGNNG..."

The short burst hit a fighter but it didn't explode. Instead, it was as if it lost power, and suddenly nosedived into the water. The same happened to the other attack aircraft, and the helicopters spiraled out of control into the water. After one aircraft fell, the others followed in a heartbeat as the turrets of the AA emplacements shot them out of the sky like clockwork.

Suddenly, a red light lit up on the screen. Alexander pressed a button near the monitor and spoke into the microphone.

"Eastern garrison, we have more visitors." announced Alexander, "The United States has begun a preemptive assault with their Pacific Fleet."

Displayed on the monitor was a map of the island and its surrounding regions. To its east, multiple dots showed up at set intervals. The dots numbered close to one hundred, and were approaching Pamana Island fast. After his announcement, twenty blue dots appeared next to the island on the sea area. The twenty blue dots approached the one hundred red dots, and, thirty seconds later, the red dots were reduced one by one until none were left but the twenty blue dots.

Outside, on the battlefield itself, ten red-eyed people riding individual attack crafts could be seen floating on the water. A while after, ten small submarines surfaced from beneath them. These submarines were individually piloted by one red-eyed person. The surface crafts were jet skis, only bigger and armored, and had two of the same guns as the antiaircraft emplacements around Pamana Island on top. In front of the jet skis was a vulcan that slowly stopped spinning. As for the submarines, each had small torpedo bays installed below them, and had some sort of machine installed at the front behind a layer of glass.

The red-eyed people looked at one another, as if understanding each other, and turned to return to Pamana Island. A while after people in uniform started to float up from under the sea. Some were alive, but many had already died. Those who lived could only stare at the fading figures of the red-eyed people over the horizon.

That was until the survivors were suddenly pulled underwater. Beneath the seas was another small submarine, and with it was a giant monstrosity, only supposedly possible in fiction, that had glowing yellow eyes and jet-black skin. The monster had many tentacles that had grabbed the poor seamen down to the watery depths. After the last survivor had died, the monster looked at the red-eyed person operating the submarine with it, and the red-eyed person gave the monster a pat. After that, the monster and the submarine patrolled the deep seas.

Back in Alexander's room, the person was looking at the monitor with a bored expression as usual.

"Too bad." he said, "So sad. I thought the Pacific Fleet would offer a good challenge. Well, I did tell them to work together if they have any hopes of defeating me. Haa..."

Alexander faced the monitor once more. He pressed a button, and the monitor zoomed out to display the world map, and on the map were blue dots that were placed onto many areas of each continent. North America had ten blue dots, South America had four, Europe had six, Africa had five, Asia had eighteen, Australia had two, and the two poles had one each. Alexander looked at these blue dots with affectionate eyes, and pulled the microphone to his lips.

"Rest well, my children." he said, "Thirty hours from now shall be the new dawn for this world."

Alexander shut off the monitor and placed the microphone on a nearby table. After doing so, he went towards a doorway beside the monitor, and entered another room. The other room was filled with machines and computers, and were running at full power. At the center of this room, however, had a very eye-catching piece of equipment, it was a tall crystalline object with many machines stuck onto it. The crystal gave off a soft glow of blue light and the machines sounded to him with it. From a distance, it looked like an ordinary crystal. However, upon closer inspection, the crystal actually had something in it.

"I have to thank you, little one, for giving me an opportunity such as this." said Alexander to the crystal, "Years ago, I was merely a struggling academic, fighting to change my home country but, who would have thought, an incident was to occur underneath my very home."

Within the crystal was a young girl with short blonde hair. She had her eyes closed, and her naked body was faintly masked by the translucent crystal. Alexander was "talking" to this very girl.

"And who would have thought that this world's technology would develop by leaps and bounds because of this very flame you gave me."

Alexander looked at his palm, and a small black flame appeared on his hand. The flame just floated on his palm before it enveloped his hand. Alexander weaved through the air, and produced a small metallic object similar to the weapons the red-eyed people used.

"I have to wonder if this flame is magic itself." commented Alexander, "Strangely, it can create technological marvels with just a thought like this pulse gun that I could only recreate through my memories of past video games and fiction. Perhaps, with this, I could ultimately change the world."

Alexander left the room, and the lights went out. Only the soft glow of the crystal was left to illuminate the area.

Former version:

Spoiler : So this arc will be happening fictionally in our world. I will be drawing references from current events then spicing things up with stuff that may go against the UN Charter and other treaties or protocols.

Off-topic:

Spoiler : Our Department of Tourism says that it's "More fun in the Philippines." If what they mean by "fun" is actually "chaotic", then it really is fun. That being, if you're curious about what I mean, search about: Halalan2016, Certificate of Candidacy filing, and number of Philippine presidential candidates 2016, or other stuff that may tickle your fancy.

I'm sure that there are some of you who think that your home country's government is retarded, but I wonder if it's to the point of burning it to the ground, like me?

Have a chapter... short chapter.

"So, where to, Maguro?" asked Cavaron.

Cavaron, Aimi, Aomi, and Maguro were in front of Edeortha's portal in Hub Space. After finishing their business there, Cavaron decided to bring Aimi back to her home with Maguro, having known Aimi before, as a guide.

"Follow me." said Maguro, "It's very far from here."

Direction made no sense in Hub Space as there wasn't really any mark to tell directions with, be it landmarks or celestial bodies. Anybody within Hub Space must rely on their own abilities and masteries, capabilities to detect certain energies, or some other way of recognizing a portal. Wayfarers, like Cavaron in particular, are able to detect certain energies within a world, especially his own mana. Any place he had visited before, he will sense immediately.

Passing by one portal after another, Cavaron suddenly paused in front of one particular portal.

"What's wrong?" asked Maguro, "Is there something you need in there?"

Cavaron stared at the portal before catching up to the others, "Nothing. Just another memory."

Maguro and Aimi looked at one another then at Cavaron, "We can visit it for a while, if you want."

"It's all right." said Cavaron with a smile, "I'll do it later after we've sent Aimi back safely."

A hint of nostalgia appeared within his eyes. Sadly, neither of his Japanese companions noticed it. Cavaron recollected his thoughts and urged Maguro to resume being a guide.

"Still, what made you want to send Aimi back, Cavaron?" asked Maguro, "This is the first time you've done so."

"Can't a guy live his life on a whim?" replied Cavaron, "I mean, I have eternal youth. Heck, you, too. Besides, I need to replenish my stock of candy thrice fold. Terran candies are the best, after all."

"Thrice fold? How many did you finish?" asked Maguro with a raised brow.

"Not me, but Shamira." replied Cavaron, "Here's my entire stock."

Cavaron opened a portal into his inventory, and dumped out enough candy wrappers to fill an eight wheeled truck. Maguro and Aimi stared agape at the amount.

"Shamira finished all of that!?" cried Aimi, "Why does she look no different!?"

"I really envy that elemental." commented Cavaron, "Ethereal beings, like her, have no need for material vessels. Hell, they don't even get diabetes, get hungry, nor get thirsty. Only when their energies are affected will they experience a change."

As they traveled through Hub Space, they chatted regarding trivialities.

---

Having spent three hours heading towards only Maguro knows where, Maguro finally stopped before a portal.

"We've arrived." said Maguro, "This is Aimi's home world. Ready?"

Cavaron and Maguro looked at Aimi for her decision. Seeing two men stare at her for an answer momentarily flustered her. Lightly slapping her cheek, she nodded.

"Let's go in then." said Maguro as he led the two through the portal, "Welcome back Ai— "

"GET DOWN!!!"

At the same time as they passed through the portal, Cavaron sensed a high speed incoming object. Cavaron, with his strengthened self, used his lightning fast reflexes to push his companions to the ground. As they did so, a long cylindrical metal object zoomed past above them before landing on a faraway building.

"BOOOM!!!"

The cylindrical object exploded, and destroyed the building.

"That was a missile!?" cried Cavaron, "What the hell is going on here!?"

Cavaron looked at the two Japanese for an answer. Neither, however, knew how to answer as they stared gobsmacked at their surroundings.

The area they arrived at was a battlefield. Ruined buildings, explosions, destroyed armored vehicles, dead bodies, and other such atrocities littered the area.

"Shit! It hasn't been long since I met Aimi." cursed Cavaron, "Aimi! We're there any signs of a war about to happen in your world?"

Aimi was still stunned at seeing her surroundings. Dead humans, like her, were strewn about the area. Looking around, she eventually saw a small dismembered hand a few ways away from a burned teddy bear.

"Gueh..." vomited Aimi, "This... What is this...?"

Remembering what she did in Edeortha, and comparing it to the scenes before her, she didn't know how to react. This prompted Cavaron to pull her, and the others, back into Hub Space.

---

"Did you get a good look at where that place could be?" asked Cavaron to Maguro.

Maguro held his head trying to remember any landmarks he noticed, "Wait... The place was too ruined for me to recognize, but that missile was definitely Terran technology."

Aimi was seated, hugging her knees, in shock from what she saw. It would appear that seeing fellow humans destroyed to such an extent, disturbed her more than when she killed Azuals that looked closer to monsters.

Maguro suddenly looked up at Cavaron, "There was a piece of a structure that I recognized." he said, "It seemed similar to an Asian imperial palace. It could be in one of the Far East Asian countries."

Cavaron looked back at the portal, "When you first went through here, where did it send you?" he asked.

"I arrived in the snowy mountains of the Swiss Alps." replied Maguro, "The succeeding visits were also different from one another. Sometimes in Europe, others in the Americas, but more often that not, I arrive at an Asian country."

"Hrm... What was the last piece of news you've heard or read regarding this Terran parallel?" asked Cavaron, "And what Terran year was it?"

Maguro held his head as he scoured his memories, "The last time I was here was... around three years ago... Terran year 2013. The only notable piece of news I've read regarding that year was about the rising tensions between China and its neighbors in Asia."

"Let's assume that the place we arrived at was China." said Cavaron, "Were the tensions hot enough to warrant a war?"

"It didn't seem so but..." replied Maguro, "... I think it was a conflict regarding territories."

"Dammit. The same shit, again." cursed Cavaron, "Can't they just colonize some other planet in their system?"

"I doubt they have the technology to do so, yet." said Maguro, "Anyway, what do we do, now? Do we continue sending Aimi home, or do we find another parallel where war hasn't touched it yet?"

"Maybe we should send her somewhere else." replied Cavaron, "Provided that the parallel has no existing Aoyama Aimi, presently."

"No! I want to see my home!" cried out Aimi, who finally recollected herself. Hugging Aomi, she said, "I want to find out if my family is safe. If my friends are safe. I won't leave until I know that nobody is waiting for me."

Tears in her eyes, she stated her intentions. Cavaron looked at the young Japanese girl, then looked at the portal. He, then, remembered that one portal they passed by on the way here.

"All right, let's get you home." said Cavaron.

"Are you sure that is wise?" asked Maguro.

"She said she wants to see her home, why should we deny her request?" replied Cavaron, "Don't worry, I'll protect her. I am capable of doing so already."

Cavaron willed his flames to come out, then sent a fraction of it to envelop Aimi's body.

"This flame is really interesting, it can be used to harm or to protect with just a thought of mine." said Cavaron, "For the moment, I thought of it as a barrier that protects the person within. How it will protect, however, I have no idea. Let's go."
