《Songs of Legacies: Cavaron [Complete Draft]》Chapter 63

I'm tired. Fk college, fk life.
---------------------------------------
Present Day
Explosions flooded the hole where the Azuals were reinforcing from until Capacitor no longer detected any entity leaving the hole. "Cease fire!" shouted Cavaron, "Capacitor, report." The.machine whirred to respond, "NO ACTIVITY DETECTED. ASSUME OBJECTIVE COMPLETE." Even with visual verification, once the dust settled, it could be seen that the hole had collapsed and was covered up. The surrounding Azuals slowly but surely diminished due to the absence of reinforcements. "Capacitor, just as a precaution, scan the battlefield with focus on those holes." ordered Cavaron. The machine immediately used its radar to scan the area.
While Capacitor was scanning the area, Cavaron had Aimi gain experience. "Make sure you have a few kills of your own. This is a rare opportunity for you to gain experience points to level up." said Cavaron with something a little strange mixed in. "Experience... points? Level up? What?" asked Aimi in confusion. Without facing her, "I did tell you to treat the Azuals as monsters, let's make it rewarding. I'll have Adelward tally your kills, and I'll reward you with equipment depending on the number of enemies killed." The surrounding summons perked up, "Oh ho? This is new." commented Masamune from his waist. "I wonder what brought this about, meow?" wondered Felicia. Aimi looked at Cavaron dubiously before speaking, "Fine. I hope the rewards are good." Cavaron smiled, "Oh, it will be since it will come from my collection. Also, a good surprise will be in store if you outscore the Spirits. Never mind the Elementals since they are in a league of their own.
"Ah, Cavvy, will there be a reward for us as well, meow?" asked Felicia sultrily, "It would seem unfair if we're part of the competition but will be unrewarded, meow." Cavaron glanced at Felicia, "Why not? It will make my part of the work easier. Masamune, Muramasa, you guys join as well." The two Sword Spirits released their Sword Forms and resumed their Human Forms with a smile and a grin respectively. "Let's see, seeing as Aimi is pretty much the underdog, it's only proper to give her equipment as rewards. As for the rest..." The other Spirits waited in anticipation. "... I'll grant the winner one wish that is within my capabilities."
Like the gun that starts the race, Hunter Spirit Felicia burst towards the nearest Azual and cleanly sliced off its head, "ONE DOWN, A HELLUVA LOT MORE TO GO–MEOW!!!" The other spirits cursed at their late reaction, and followed suit to massacre a large number of Azuals. "Do your best, Aimi~ You have competition now~" said Cavaron, "Adelward, I'll leave her safety to you... Ah, I'll give a separate reward. It's only fair as you are the only Guardian Spirit present." Adelward bowed before swiftly following Aimi to escort her. The girl, however, was both happy and frustrated because of the reward and competition respectively, and looked back at Cavaron in wonder, "I wonder what he'll give me? And that 'special surprise' is tempting."
Cavaron lifted Bronte up to his shoulders, "Do you also want a reward after this?" asked Cavaron to the Elemental. Bronte looked down on Cavaron's head, "Nah, I'm happy to be with Papa." and replied. "Guess I should also give Capacitor a separate gift like Adelward... Do you want anything, Capacitor?" Momentarily disrupted from his task, the machine replied, "AN UPGRADE TO A HUMANOID BODY WOULD BE SUFFICIENT, MASTER." Cavaron raised a brow, "A humanoid body? Interesting, I'll see if we can get someone to make you one."

While Capacitor resumed his duty, Felicia was having fun. "NYAHAHAHAHA!!!" She agilely jumped from one victim to another, and each one either had their head lopped off or have a gaping stab wound at the back. One would also notice that she was only taking out the Azuals that were as big as or smaller than her. After a while, "That makes 112 kills. I wonder how the others are doing." She paused as she scanned the area for the others but only to jump away as she noticed a large shadow descending upon her. "Hiss!!" Felicia hissed as she recollected herself. The source of the shadow was an Azual twice her size at four meters. "Nyow, that's a big one." she commented, "Well, bigger baddies are slow baddies, meow~"
Felicia, being busy with the giant Azual, Ylva was secretly watching her, "Rrr, I won't let you get what you want. I'll protect master from you." she muttered. Unleashing her claws, she dove towards a mass of Azuals and tore them apart. If Felicia was clean with her attacks, Ylva was whirlwind of blood. Each swipe of her claws tore open any Azual that got hit whether they were big or small. After producing a mound of mangled flesh, she paused for a while. "Rrr, 111 kills. Too slow." She resumed killing more Azuals while keeping tabs on Felicia.
High above the two was Aquila lazily sniping one flying Azual after another. Occasionally, he would glance at Felicia and Ylva, and smile. "I'm not really interested in the reward. I'll just take care of the flying bugs that may disturb your hunt, so hunt to your hearts' content. WHAP!" His crossbow released another bolt that hit an Azual squarely between the eyes. "Ah, Cavaron. You still have a long way to go despite your age. Hahahaha. WHAP!"
Far to the other side, walking corpses began to flood the battlefield. For each Azual they kill, another recruit gets added to their number. "Hmm~mm~hmm~ Ladidee~ Ladida~" Necromancer Morana could be seen humming along as she let her undead to ravage the Azuals. "Hm? Looks like I'm reaching the halfway point in controlling these children~" Morana was right in the middle of a sea of undead Azuals, and the size of this sea was steadily increasing until a draconic Azual unleashed a fire breath and cut down her forces. "Oh, poo. A fire breathing Azual. This will be tough." she sighed, "Ah, well. I was getting bored of not really taking part in the fight." The movements of the undead Azual suddenly changed, and their movements became faster and more precise. "It's a good thing that micromanagement is my forte~ GO, MY CHILDREN~"
Avoiding the sea of undead, the two Sword Spirits fought side by side in a fast paced contest to see who could kill more. Masamune move swiftly and elegantly while Muramasa was hard and brutal. Even with the difference in their styles, one could not see the difference in their results as each of them swiftly caught up to the other. Masamune swung down his sword and cleanly cleaved an Azual from its shoulder down to its waist. He then spun around and thrust his sword to an incoming Azual that was about to cleave his back, and, after pulling out his sword, flipped his sword and stabbed the Azual directly behind him. A dance of blades comparable to a blade dancer such as Cavaron.
Muramasa, however, crushed the skulls of the Azuals instead of clean slices. After getting rid of one Azual, a swing of his sword landed on the next target leading to another kill. Due to the numerous bloodstains on his edge, Muramasa needed to kick a corpse away whenever he pulls out his sword. The corpses that were kicked collided with the other Azuals, stunning them momentarily. And those that do get stunned for a long while become victims to this bloodthirsty warrior. Silently, the two Sword Spirits together racked up a combined score of 454 kills or 227 kills each.

Beast Lord Halrimaw used his chimera like appearance to blend within the Azual. When he deemed the number of Azuals around him to be enough, he would suddenly transform into his Beast Form and wreak havoc among the scores of Azuals. With his tyrannical size and power as a beast, no Azual, not even the larger ones, could survive his assault. A swipe of his claws, a whiplash of his tail, and even his powerful maw laid waste to a large number of Azuals. Whenever he finished off a group, he would destroy the earth to create dust, revert back to his chimeric Lord Form, and blend in with another group of Azuals to create even more havoc. Without pause, Halrimaw effectively killed 300 odd Azuals.
A few ways away from the Spirits, Aimi was shooting one arrow after another, and each arrow pierced two to five Azuals in a line. "Lady Aimi, would you like to know your score?" asked Adelward. Without pause, Aimi replied, "No. No need. I might get complacent if I knew." On her back was the human form Azursa, Aomi, clutching tightly to her like a backpack, and occasionally gives Aimi berries that, strangely, were stored in her mouth. 'Such an interesting creature...' thought Adelward as he watched Aomi feed Aimi. "Woops." he uttered as he blocked a spike from hitting Aimi, "That was close. Lady Aimi, long ranged enemy at your nine o'clock." Aimi reacted with firing a bluish arrow, and the arrow hit the target except it didn't pierce through like the others and just blew up. "Phew... Experimenting is hard and creates a lot of fatigue." she said, then she looked at her rune bow, "Interestingly, I am able to sustain such attacks for a long while. Wasn't my mana capacity still too small, if I understood Senpai correctly?"
...
High above the skies where the Sky Knights were, Shamira was directing attacks as she popped candy into her mouth at regular intervals. "Fire Balls at that large group of lumbering Azuals! Thunder and lightning (very, very frightening) at the group of fast moving Azuals! Have another some others freeze those flying over here!" she commanded, "Uh oh. Hold on... Holy Bolt!" Shamira conjured dozens of spears of light, and immediately sent them down towards another large draconic Azual headed their way. The spears of light pierced its body, and slowed its movements. "Resume thine assault!" she commanded, "Just leave to big ones to This One!"
As Shamira was busy in the Sky, Capacitor showed a reaction, "MASTER, I HAVE FOUND THREE MORE REINFORCEMENT LOCATIONS. THE NEAREST IS.A KILOMETER TO THE NORTH." Cavaron nodded, "Good. Stormfell!" and called for the flying Gryphon in the sky. Having landed, Cavaron mounted Stormfell/Ventus and gestured towards the other Avatars to follow him. The Spirits and Aimi noticed Cavaron leaving north, and they had decided to head north as well while taking part in the competition. Capacitor followed as its Vulcan tore open a path.
Half an hour later, Cavaron had Stormfell/Ventus stop in midair, and looked down. In front of them was another hole similar to the previous one, and was producing reinforcements nonstop. "Drop me off, Stormfell, then like before, bombard that hole with the others." Cavaron got off Stormfell/Ventus, and gestured to all Avatars to begin bombardment. However, just before the first wave of attacks fell, a wall of black flames erupted to block the attacks. The attacks hit the wall of black flames, and disappeared like they never existed.
"Shit! He's here, huh?" cursed Cavaron, "Cease attacking! Dark Fate flames erase anything! ...or should have erased him... Focus on the Azuals instead!" The Avatars stopped, and turned their attention towards the surrounding Azuals but, just like before, a wall of black flames appeared, and protected the Azuals. "Grr... If long range attacks... No, I can't risk them. Everybody, fall back behind me!" commanded Cavaron, and the Avatars followed.
Once the flames receded, a figure appeared within the Azuals. "Azrael!" shouted Cavaron, "Duel me!" Azrael smiled, "Oh, no, no ,no. All Azuals, attack." and commanded the hordes of Azual to attack Cavaron's group. "Dammit! Get rid of those!" commanded Cavaron. One Avatar after another obliterated one wave of Azuals after another. Occasionally, an attack would head for Azrael, but the same black flames of Dark Fate would block it. These flames also blocked some attacks against the Azuals.
Just as a group of Azual was about to overwhelm Cavaron's position, a loud roar was heard to the east. "ROOOAAARRRR!!!" roared a large, fast moving land dragon mounted by an equally large demon that was holding on for dear life. Just when the land dragon was about to crash into a group of Azuals, a red shadow leapt from the land dragon, and smashed a huge battleaxe onto the ground, effectively creating a powerful shockwave that knocked smaller Azual away. It was War Spirit Bellatrix. "Ey, Cav! Reinforcement has arrived!" announced Bellatrix. At the same time, hordes of fast moving demons arrived, and each one chose a kill. Additionally, a myriad of wyverns and flying dragons dropped down from the sky, clutching a number of Azual, taking them up to the sky, and dropping them while the fire breathing dragons laid waste by strafing the Azuals with flames.
"I don't know why, but there is just something appealing and romantic about watching dragons fly around the sky and breathe down fire onto the battlefield." commented Cavaron, "Well, at least they got distracted. Hammer them, now!" On cue, fire, ice, wind, water, earth, and dark elements colored the battlefield due to the lapse in defense by Azrael. Next, fire fell from the skies produced by the Sky Knights, and a rain of spears of light from Shamira.
"Oops." uttered Azrael, "Well, whatever. Cannon fodder is cannon fodder. I need more Z***lings." Black flames enveloped the still living Azual, and Cavaron reacted with surprise, "The hell is he getting rid of them for!?" However, contrary to his expectations, the Azuals that got wrapped in black flames doubled. "HA!? HOW!?" cried Cavaron, "HOW THE FUCKING GODDAMNED MOTHERFUCKING HELL DID THOSE FLAMES CLONE THESE LITTLE PIECES OF SHIT ASS FUCKS!?"
"Why the surprise, Cavaron?" asked Azrael, "You should know that these flames cannot only destroy, but also create... Unless... No, it can't be. Someone like you cannot do this!? OH, FOR SHAME, CAVARON!!! ALL AZUALS, DEVOUR ALL WHO OPPOSE!!!" One Azual wave after another was produced by the flames, and they all went to attempt to annihilate Cavaron's group, the demons, the angels, and the humans that surrounded them.
"AHAHAHA AHAHAHA!!! DEVOUR THEM ALL!!!" With Azrael's manic laughter, more Azuals were produced as the black flames grew stronger than ever. It has then become evident that the reinforcing demons were being overwhelmed, and the skies became black from the number of flying Azuals. Shamira and the Sky Knights were surrounded by a great multitude of flying Azuals. Even Shamira's Holy Bolts were unable to compensate for the number bearing down on them.
"Fuck everything! I may not have enough to call those two, but I HAVE ENOUGH TO FIGHT FOR A FULL DAY!!! COVER ME!!!" Cavaron suddenly filled his entire body with Mana, and equipped his Mana Sword and Blood Sword. With furious eyes, he blasted off like a bullet out of a gun towards Azrael. "FUCK YOU, FUCK THIS, FUCK EVERYTHING! A DEAD MAN LIKE YOU SHOULD STAY DEAD!!!"
A crowd of Azuals tried to block him, but were blown away by a massive fireball that was able to slip through the wall of black flames. The next group to try and block were eliminated by a blue arrow. For a distance of 100 meters, Cavaron charged and charged as the Azuals blocking him were annihilated due to plot arm— due to the Avatars' bombardment. However, once he was halfway from reaching Azrael, the black flames intensified and blocked any and all attacks leaving Cavaron on his own to break through.
The entirety of Cavaron glowed with bluish light as his mana was on full throttle. His swords glowed as well because of Mana Blades and, upon collision, produced a whirlwind of flesh and blood as he danced the dance of death. "Blade Dance! Demonic Tempest!!" Cavaron's blue glow became red, and his eyes became filled with furious red light. "GET OUT OF MY WAY!!!" he cried. His Mana Sword sang through the air, and his Blood Sword howled as it's serrated edge tore through one Azual after another. Mana Blades hummed as it amplified both swords' cutting and cleaving capabilities. The others watched in awe as Cavaron tried his damnedest to reach Azrael but just 20 meters away, Azrael charged in to meet Cavaron with a black scythe.
