《Songs of Legacies: Cavaron [Complete Draft]》Chapter 2

"Demon Lord!" a magus screamed.
Indeed, a nightmare becoming reality. The hero they summoned shattered their dreams of victory and dropped them into a hellish nightmare by bringing forth the "Demon Lord" Culverin deep into their territory.
"I come at your command, mas-" Culverin spoke but stopped as he realized where he was. "Ladenras!?"
"Hey, Culverin." Cavaron spoke to Culverin.
"Master, this place..."
"Yeah, I got kidnapped again. Didn't think this is your home."
"Another summoning?"
"Yeah. Now then, care to explain this demon business?"
Cavaron and Culverin had a dialogue with each other and effectively ignored all Ladenrasians.
"Sir Cavaron, what is the meaning of this!?" King Rotter bellowed.
At this time guards rushed in when they heard the magus scream.
"I have to ask you the same, Rotter. What is the meaning of this?" Cavaron replied without respect.
All the guards drew their weapons, and the magi began casting barriers and spells.
"Culverin, how did this war start? I remember you being the most peaceful Elemental."
Culverin then explained how the king of Ladenras declared that all non-humans were demons, including the fairies and beasts.
How the king used his charisma to raise a powerful army and attacked all surrounding non-human territories.
How they were able to take the Forest, Waters, and Mountains.
How the Fairies awakened the Elementals to stop the war.
Culverin then proceeded to how the grinding halt of the war led to the stalemate. That was all he knew regarding his side, and knows nothing about what happens in Ladenras.
And that led to the event of Cavaron being summoned by Ladenras to kill Culverin.
"Rotter."
King Rotter flinched. Cavaron's voice was filled with death.
"Rotter, I have to refuse helping you now. I hate people like you."
"Sir... Cavaron..." King Rotter stared in disbelief.
After a minute, "Guards and magi! Cavaron has presented us an opportunity to kill the Demon Lord! We will win this war!"

"OOHHH!!!"
*Sigh* Cavaron facepalmed at the King Rotter's command, looked at Culverin. "Let's dance, Culverin.", and summoned his blood and mana swords.
"With pleasure, master.", said Culverin as he brought out a flaming maul.
Like with the bandits from before, Cavaron stabbed himself. This made the others drop their guard thinking Cavaron is committing suicide. The blood sword shone a baleful red radiance.
"Kill them!!!", the Ladenrasian forces attacked.
With Culverin, the swords of Cavaron were coated with flames. As Cavaron's blades danced, the soldiers burned and died. Culverin, however, went on a rampage with his maul blasting and smashing everything around them to bits.
"Ugyaa!!" death throes filled the Magus Grounds. Even with the soldiers' heavy armor, Cavaron's swords ripped through like a hot knife through butter and Culverin's flaming maul smashed everything it hit. A display of of pure power and carnage unfolded before all who stood witness to it.
The magi are in no better shape despite their efforts in erecting barriers and firing magic attacks. Everything they did was a futile effort before a Magic Blade Dancer and a Fire Lord. A few managed to cast Ice and Water spells, but before they could launch their attacks, Cavaron rushed in and obliterated them while Culverin covered his master by taking care of the soldiers,
Cavaron's swords, in this type of battle, are the most ideal weapons. His blood sword becomes stronger from whatever blood feeds it; the owner and the enemy. The mana sword is most effective when fighting against magi. Normally the mana sword becomes stronger by leeching off the owner's mana, but here in a battle against magi, it can just use mana steal and drain the enemy's mana.
Adding the fact that Culverin's flames coat Cavaron's blades, the damage delivered and the power received are potent enough to last against an army. Cavaron, as a Magic Blade Dancer that focuses on pure attack, this battle is his favorite as he becomes capable of being a one man army while receiving support from Elemental Contracts.

King Rotter, on the side, fell on his back as he watched the carnage before him. 10, 20, 50, 100, 300 Ladenrasian soldiers and magi have died in the hands of Cavaron and Culverin. Culverin's flames cauterized the wounds of the soldiers explaining the lack of the sea of blood. In exchange, the smell of burning flesh filled the air making anybody unaccustomed to it nauseous.
"Hiiiiii!" King Rotter shuddered. It is clear that his legacy will end here and thought of running away, but his fear took the strength from his body and just looked on at the massacre.
The Ladenrasian soldiers only stopped attacking when they have lost over a thousand in merely just an hour. Many figured that this battle was lost and the weakest began to run away. The wisest of the magi have already fled for their lives leaving the rest to their deaths.
When the soldiers stopped pouring, ""GRAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!"", Cavaron and Culverin let loose a battle cry that shook the hearts of all who survived the hellish ordeal that made everybody else run for it leaving their king at Cavaron's mercy.
Cavaron then looked for the king to finally end the stupid war.
'Where's that idiot king?'
Looking around he realized that the king's body was among the corpses.
'Huh? I don't remember this idiot entering the fray.'
Cavaron went to the King Rotter's "corpse" to see if he really did die.
King Rotter, being unable to run, decided to play dead. 'I'll just hide amongst the corpses... Huh? Damn! Don't come here!'
The "corpse" of King Rotter just stayed in place not moving as Cavaron approached.
'Is he really dead? One way to find out.', Cavaron thought as he arrived.
"Master..." Culverin spoke.
Cavaron turned to Culverin to and saw his face telling him that King Rotter is still alive.
'Heh... an ambitious yet cowardly king.' Cavaron then drew his leg and kicked King Rotter hard enough that the "corpse" was flung to a wall.
"Geho!" The impact made King Rotter cough out breaking his act.
"What should I do to you, Rotter?" Cavaron's voice was sinister. "Should I kill you here or do I bring you out for a public execution?"
"W... why... *cough* why do you... help them..?" King Rotter asked. It seems Cavaron's kick broke a rib or two.
"Why? Because you are the cause of this war." Cavaron replied. "You started this. You led innocents to their deaths. You even sacrificed virgins to summon me."
King Rotter became wide-eyes when Cavaron mentioned the virgins. "H... how..?"
Cavarob smirked. "Because I was summoned multiple times that I became familiar with all sorts of rituals. Enough experience that I am able to create my own to travel to any other world. How did I become so strong? It's strange, actually. For each successful summoning ritual used to summon me, a portion of the power used gets transferred to me and is added to my already existing power."
King Rotter paled at this.
"Hmm... what should I do? Culverin, what do you think?"
"Master, although I am part of the aggrieved party, I am unable to bring down judgment as your >."
"Hmm... I've decided!" Cavaron showed an evil grin which made King Rotter fear for his life further. "Let's have a grand public execution!"
King Rotter paled and attempted to run. However, Culverin fired a spell at his legs preventing him from escaping.
"Naughty, naughty, Rotter. You should resign to your fate just as you made the captives used for me resign to their fates. Be glad, however, that your death will be clean and swift."
As Cavaron approached to pick King Rotter up, an arrow pierced King Rotter's head and killed him.
"What the hell!?" Cavaron yelled as he turned to the source.
What he found was a woman in her 20's carrying a great bow.

Which while not entirely accurate, is still a fun way of looking at it.) (Note: As with my other stories, this one focuses more on the characters than on constant action. The Lite-LitRPG and Gamelit elements are introduced into the story gradually.) Author's Note: This is my raw, mostly unedited text. I am using RR to test out this story as I'm writing it to get a feel for how the published and edited copy will be received. Certain sections of the story will be changed or added to when I publish it as well.
