《Unlimited Power - The Arcane Path》Chapter 50

Leon didn’t want to solve all their problems, but they were partners, so they had to help each other. However, he couldn’t take any chances and lose the few allies he had in that country. Ren and his soldiers were the only things between Leon and the Emperor’s executioners, so he decided to go to the other world alone.
“Stay here; I will do this.” Leon declared, and then he started to make a steel armchair and a spear.
“No, we can’t let you do the dangerous part alone.” Ren stepped forward.
“Dude… do you want to die without even learning a single spell?” Leon asked. “How did you manage to survive until now without realizing the difficulty of the situation?”
“… A lot of people died watching my back.” Ren hesitated. “ I can’t stand back and watch my allies dying in front of me anymore. I have to protect what remains of my honor!”
“What are you? A samu… ah, you are samurai.” Leon frowned. “Let’s do this… if I don’t return in ten seconds, you guys can touch the crystal and help me, all right?”
Ren didn’t like that, but just like Leon did, he had to compromise. Even if it was Leon, it was hard to believe that he could go to another world, kill a single boss where dozens of them were probably around and return that fast. In the end, Ren nodded, and after forging the armchair and spear, Leon touched the crystal and disappeared.
Ren started to count, and before his count could reach six, he moved his hand toward the crystal, but then he retreated when he saw Leon reappearing on his right side. Leon was blue, covered in snow, and impaled on his spear there was a giant head. A head that was one meter tall, long and wide. Ren could easily imagine the size of such a beast, and it was at least six meters long.

“… Don’t you know how to count?” Leon asked while trembling like a leaf.
“Are you all right?” Ren asked, surprised.
“No, I’m not all right… I just came from a frozen hell,” Leon moved his hand upward. “Move away a little bit.”
Ren and soldiers obeyed the command, and then Leon created a Fire Ball above his head to warm his body. The snow melted, and little by little Leon recovered his color, despite the power of his flames, not a single inch of the cave melted.
The other world was white, Leon’ didn’t see anything aside from snow and dark clouds. As soon as he appeared, a massive beast attacked him, but he dodged the attack and shot a Magma Spear. His attack melted the body of the creature, almost instantly leaving only the head behind. Leon impaled the monster’s head with his spear and was about to return when he saw a blue amulet neat the head. After picking up that, he returned.

In just a few seconds, he leveled his Ice resistance several times. That wasn’t a world where humans could live… unless they train that skill several times while enduring the frozen hell.
“Achoo!” Leon sneezed.
“Let’s leave the dungeon before you get a cold.” Ren smiled wryly. “Thanks to you, our job here is over. A bowl of miso soup should help you warm your body.”

While feeling shivers, Leon nodded. Although his body still remembered the cold of that world, the cold he felt in the dungeon had decreased a little bit. It looked like it was a good idea to train his Ice Resistance in that world, but he had no plans to do that anytime soon. Leon never noticed that before, but he really was weak against the cold.
While walking toward the entrance of the dungeon, a few Frozen Dire Wolves tried to attack them from behind, but since Leon wasn’t in the mood to play, he destroyed them all. Also, due to the fact that moving that head was difficult, they left those wolves behind. It was fine, the land would absorb those bodies, so it wasn’t a problem. Besides, they could return to pick it up later.
It took them an hour to leave the dungeon, and they were received with eyes full of surprise, but Ren ignored them and started to make the miso soup. Usually, they would celebrate the conquest of such dungeon, but they were worried imagining how Leon finished such massive beast so fast. Then Ren considered the following hypothesis… Leon couldn’t only finish the megalodons; he could kill them in a single strike. When that thought crossed his mind, he couldn’t help but feel shivers too… he had become the partner of a fearsome survivor.
Ren cooked miso soup to feed all his men, but he decided to cook even more when he saw Leon eating bowl after bowl. It looked like he was the type of person who would eat more or less according to his mood… Regardless, Ren stopped cooking when he heard the footsteps of the imperial soldiers approaching, he looked behind and saw the previous dungeon manager, now Ren was the new dungeon manager.
The manager grabbed a piece of paper and read its contents; after that, she waited for Ren’s response, he bowed and nodded. After that, the manager and the imperial soldiers left as if they had no more business in that region.
“What was that about?” Leon asked while he was eating non-stop.
“ … The emperor wishes to speak with me,” Ren said with a pale face. “He also said that he wants you to come with me.”

System Only Gives Me Useless Gifts
Li Yun grew up with a system that gave him useless gifts. He wanted a reward that could prove the existence of the system, but ended up with abstract gifts like culture. Without physical proof, he was stuck wondering whether his mind was truly sane, all the while dealing with the reality of life. How will the "useless" system help Li Yun navigate medical school, hospital politics, criminal cases, treasure hunting, farming and cooking? Author's Note: This is a slice-of-life novel about a doctor with a mission-type system. It's written as a faux modern Chinese novel, so there are many 1-off characters and episodic mini arcs. Just a bit of warning, the tone of the story is very different after the childhood arc and jumpy as it chronicles Li Yun's life. I'm trying to make it less apparent in the rewrite, but there are still a lot of time skips. RR is the rewrite version, no set schedule. See webnovel for OG. scribblehub is a combo of both . I recommend scribblehub since it has pictures. Copyrights of the novel and cover are owned by Chocomug. Novel is free to read and download for personal use, such as offline reading, only.

It was then did John use a dark magic that did he got them out of that situation. But in exchange for the princess's safety, John Sarvod was exiled from A'vetheas for using 'demon magic'. What will he do after the life he knew was uprooted and taken away from him? Will the 'demon magic' that caused his exile from the Elven Tribe bring him into a slow descent into madness? Book 2 description: Having found a life for himself outside of A'vetheas, a family, enrolled to a good school, and a potential romantic partner, John Sarvod continues on with his life the best he could, carrying himself forward, until... He messes it all up again. This time, however, it isn't because of his magic. It was by his own demerit. What is the cause of despair? Find out in Consignor Book 2. Old description (Without spoiler) John Sarvod, user of the most powerful healing spell [Heal], the rare ability to heal and recover all injuries, is the only human that lives in the Elven Tribe. Though he was gifted with [Heal], he could not cast any magic other than his one and only [Heal]. Aside from his current training to become a royal scribe, he is known to all elves as the ‘Healer of A’vetheas’ and had gained a certain amount of respect from them due to how much he works. But life for him in the Elven Tribe, A’vetheas wasn't never always like this. Because he was human, and that the Elves have isolated themselves from the outside world, his presence initially was not welcomed by the elves that thinks highly of him today. It was all thanks to the Elven Queen who brought him in, and the Elven Princess, Raina Valindra Eridi, that he could reach this day. But things changed when the Raina that he so adored used the teleportation device for a small date with him, where they met with danger that the [Heal] that he relied all this time could not save him from… In his desperate attempts to save Raina, John ended up committing a taboo of the elves. As for his punishment when he returned to A’vetheas? That was just the beginning of him, continuing the path that he had inevitably taken prior to the life he had before he lived in A’vetheas. This is a story of a not too average person end up becoming something that he could have never imagined. A monster? A demon? A god? Only time will tell. It is just a matter of time that John Sarvod would embrace his true self. Content Warning because I want to have flexibility, and maybe it gets overwhelming at times. I have a backlog already, this story won't be dropped. Edited: romance tag to action tag, story has more or less of both, but yeah. There's slice of life tagged in because my story progresses not too quickly (by my opinion) I like to take things slow, I suppose. :3
