It was probably due to the fact that he didn’t kill all that much fish the previous day and because the corpses of those three were absorbed by the trees Leon planted. Regardless, he spent the day digging holes around the island, the next day he chopped down several trees and made stakes and finally, on the third day after that battle, he put those stakes in the holes.
