《The Demon Lord will have his revenge!》Chapter 38.2: One Punch

Part 2
Without any hope, without any strength, Shin flung his fist at the assassin. Why bother swinging his fist on the assassin? Maybe it was done out of pride?
The punch was flimsy. It arced quite widely, it lacked any precision and proved that Shin lacked martial arts training. The punch could only be considered as best as that of thrown by a child throwing a tantrum.
Why would the assassin bother defend against something so terribly weak let alone dodge? No, the assassin intended to take the punch and mentally break down the pest. He wanted the child in front of him to feel hopeless, powerless and weak. He hated Shin’s eyes which revealed unyielding determination. What right did the child in front of him have to be incomparably arrogant when he was so weak? Only the strong had the right to be arrogant. More importantly, the assassin took pleasure in torturing his prey – even if it was a six year old boy…
Akito couldn’t see very clearly what was happening but his sight was somewhat restored. He could tell that Shin threw a punch at the assassin – given Shin’s height it was aimed at the assassin’s stomach. However, that was the last thing Akito remembered seeing – the room suddenly turned very bright and then everything went dark.
Part 3
The assassin stood proudly as he faced Shin’s punch. His face which was lit up by the moonlight streaming through the window, revealed his malicious and crazed smile. He was the type of predator you that enjoyed whittling away the strength of his prey slowly. Although, he was a professional that took care not to get side tracked, every once in a while he would find a delicious prey which would bring out his nasty temperament. However, today this decision could have been not been any worse.

The moment Shin’s punch connected, the entire skyline in the background outside turned bright. It wasn’t just bright – it was blinding. A flash of white light streaked through the sky, as though a flash bomb had gone off, gushed through every window. The assassin who was facing the window was instantly blinded by the incomparably intense white light. The bright flash of light only lasted a mere second, however that was only the beginning.
The assassin could not see but all his other senses were working. Before he could even comprehend the fact that he was blinded or take precaution, a massive shockwave passed through his body, blowing him across the room and pressing into the wall. Just as Akito had been countered by the assassin and flew across the room, the assassin flew in identical manner across the room…. No it could be said his condition was worse.
The shockwave was accompanied by a large ‘boom’ sound as though a bomb had gone off, literally causing the assassin’s ears to bleed. In addition, the window, which the assassin stood in front of, shattered sending several sharp glass pieces straight towards the assassin. Several large pieces of glass dug deep into the assassin’s body.
The assassin screamed in agony as each shard pierced through his body. If he had not been so pompous and had continued to regulate ki in his body, these fragments of glass would not have been able to penetrate through his skin let alone cause pain. However, arrogance comes at a price and the assassin was paying for it today.
Part 4
Without any hope, without any strength, Shin flung his fist at the assassin. Why bother swinging his fist on the assassin? Maybe it was done out of pride?
The punch was flimsy. It arced quite widely, it lacked any precision and proved that Shin lacked martial arts training. The punch could only be considered as best as that of thrown by a child throwing a tantrum.

Shin threw the punch with his eyes closed and everything else that followed happened in a second. Shin felt touching the assassin with his fist and then he was thrown off by a loud ‘boom’ like noise. The shockwave from the ‘boom’ threw the already-unable-to-stand-Shin on to the floor.
When Shin opened his eyes, he was startled. His heart began beating wildly as his brain processed the sight of the assassin pressed into the wall, bleeding and howling in pain. Shin couldn’t understand how it happened or what happened. He didn’t feel any mana within in him or in the environment. Yet, the moment the punch landed, the assassin went flying through the air and was clearly severely injured…
Shin couldn’t understand anything, but his bloodied, bruised and swelling face revealed a faint satisfied smile.
‘I did it (?)’ Thinking that much Shin closed his eyes and lost consciousness.
