Chapter 11 – New found cheats?

“Finally!!” (Ryo)

Ryo shouted as he finally could see a sign board that state forward from this place is Han’s route. Both of them rest for a while and have their lunch before approaching the place.

While they were getting nearer to Han’s route. Ryo decided to open up a topic that he was curious.

“By the way, I’m curious, how does ogre look like again?” (Ryo)

“You, you accept the mission without knowing the enemy is?” (Reena)

“…. Hahaha … Well I may know what it looks like but I never seen it before in first hand.” (Ryo)

“Eh? You see it before but never in first hand? How?” (Reena)

“Looking at pictures? Kk never mind you probably won’t know” (Ryo)

“?? Anyway the ogres that we be seeing would be 2m – 4m tall depending on how strong and old they are, green or brown in colour, the weapons they usually use is a club as they have enormous amount of brute strength but their weakness is their intelligence.” (Reena)

“Nice, any more details about them?” (Ryo)

“Hmmm I’m not sure, I guess they move in a pack too? Though I do not know that much but I know it’s around 2-4 ogre in each pack.” (Reena)

“How do you usually kill them?” (Ryo)

“Huh? Straight up and face them of course!” (Reena)

“Arh……. Sorry I forgot” (Ryo)

Ryo immediately bow towards Reena, confuse as Reena was, she become embarrass, but after a moment she realize herself that Ryo apologize because he should have known that she doesn’t like to think when fighting an enemy.

“You…. Ryo, I really hate you!!” (Reena)

“Ehh!? You improve!! If this continues, you will be smarter!” (Ryo)

Ryo were showing genuine happiness that gave Reena a mix of emotions, she doesn’t know whether she should be happy or angry being insulted like this.

“Shut up! Not a word from you! Geez every time we talk you will start to badmouth me!” (Reena)

“My bad……And hey we finally arrive, talking with you is a good way to waste time. We should do this again” (Ryo)

“….R…RYOOO!!”(Reena)

“Shhh, no time to talk, I heard something” (Ryo)

“Eh? ……….We….need to talk after this…. Okay Ryo?” (Reena)

“?? Aren’t we talking now?” (Ryo)

While Ryo continues to tease Reena or should I say making her angry, he look around the surrounding to find any trace of footprints or evidence to know whether did any ogre had pass by here or not. Ryo asked Reena to identify all of the things around and see if she could find anything that shouldn’t belong here.

“Ryo, there’s a splash of blood on this tree here, it doesn’t look fresh though.” (Reena)

“Good job, what does it says?” (Ryo)

Mix of Ogre and human blood80 percent of it are human while the rest is ogre blood – time; 4 days

“It says that it is a mix of ogre and human blood and it’s already been 4 days” (Reena)

“We were too late huh? Anyway let’s find more stuff, here Reena, how about this one?” (Ryo)

Reena were following Ryo instructions while trying her best to identify the things that either she or Ryo had found. While doing her stuff, she thought to herself that isn’t better if Ryo is the leader? Sighing to herself, she become depress a bit. Ryo notice Reena indifferent attitude while following his instruction but doesn’t think too much about it.

They finally found a pack of ogre not too far off from the first blood that Reena had found. It seems there are always a leader within the pack, it is easy to know which one is it due to their heights, from there Ryo told his plan to Reena. There were 4 ogre in this pack 2 were lying down while the other 2 were eating while chatting, or growling. Ryo’s plan was to kill the leader first that was on the ground with the throwing dagger that was borrowed from Reena and if possible he would want to do it without letting the other two know about it. In addition if the other one that was sleeping didn’t wake up he could do it again. After that Reena could engage with the two that is awake and he could easily back-stab them.

“Ready Reena?” (Ryo)

Reena just nodded her head while gripping her long sword, getting ready for the signal from Ryo to begin her ambush.

Ryo slowly approach the leader that was sleeping, good thing that he could get near as the two that were eating, was facing to the back while the other one sleeping was snoring loudly. When Ryo arrive near the ogre leader, rather than throwing it, using all his strength he stab the throwing knife on the head.

*Splurttyttt*

The dagger could easily stabbed in without much resistant but Ryo realizes that even if he had threw the dagger, it may not have any damage to the thick skin of these ogre. Fortunately the ogre beside him were still snoring loudly, Ryo quickly stab the ogre without wasting any more time. Ryo showed the signal towards Reena, she quickly charge towards the other two ogre.

“Yraagghh!!! Die!!!” (Reena)

Both of the ogre were caught surprise and Reena manage to slash one of the ogre that was nearer to her but suddenly three more ogre appeared behind her.

“Reena behind you!!”(Ryo)

Reena heard the call out from Ryo and immediately duck down.

*Swoooooosshhh*

A sound of air when a club is swung near Reena head, she immediately roll away from being back-stab again, she blame herself for not scouting for any more ogre while Ryo were killing the two ogre that were soundly asleep. She was also surprise to see that this three ogre is probably the same pack as the one that she was going to ambush. It caught her unguarded, ogre pack should only have 2-4, this is very unusual. After rolling away, Reena back herself away so that she won’t be surrounded, a good thinking from her but the two ogre unexpectedly knew what she was going to do and charge at her.

*Tuuhhhddd*

“Grrrooooaaaaahhh!!!” (Ogre)

Ryo threw the dagger and it fortunately landed on one of the ogre back leg that was charging at Reena, the result was impressive as the ogre being panic it had trip the other one down. Ryo thought that after their leader was dead they would definitely be unorganized but looking at the situation it seems that the one that he had killed wasn’t the leader.

“Gurruo Guuourru Gooueer” (Ogre leader)

After the leader finish communicating with the rest, their facial impression changes showing a confident smile and they started laughing.

“Wh-what’s happening, Ryo?” (Reena)

“Don’t ask me, shouldn’t you know them better than me? This is my first time fighting with them!” (Ryo)

“But this is the first time that they didn’t charge recklessly! Ryo this is WEIRD!!! ” (Reena)

“NO POINT shouting at me lady!” (Ryo)

The ogre started to slowly approach them, as if they suddenly become more intelligence and waiting for Ryo to attack them.

“Reena do you have any range weapon? I think they know that they are more advantages than us.” (Ryo)

“Unfortunately no, the dagger that I pass to you was the last one I have.” (Reena)

Thinking about it, he could use his slow skill, but he doesn’t really want to keep using it as he do not know what is the side effect. Nodding to himself, Ryo readied and grip his 1h sword that he had took it out long ago.

“Yaarghhh!!!” (Reena)

Reena suddenly charges towards the ogres, the ogres on the other hand were smiling, thought to himself, the ogre were being too weird, this is probably a trap.

“Reena!! Wait Stop!!” (Ryo)

Reena probably were too focus on attacking the ogre that she didn’t realize Ryo had call her out to stop.

“Die!!!” (Reena)

Reena used her wind slash towards all of the ogres in front of her, even before the wind slash hit them, the ogre made a weird formation, and they stood 1 straight line and charge at Reena. The wind slash easily cut the first ogre but they didn’t care, it’s as if they knew that they were going to sacrifice the front one, the rest of the ogre’s had unexpectedly duck down while still charging, the ogre had already approach right in front of Reena without her realizing. One of the ogre swung their club towards Reena, she quickly tried to dodge sideways but unfortunately still were hit by the ogre leader that appeared near her.

Reena, flew 3 meters away and hit the ground, her chest armour had been hit and it looks bend, noticing the damage, Ryo thought to himself, if he had been hit by that, he would have died.

“Rather than letting Reena die, Slow!” (Ryo)

Looking at Reena, unconscious, bleeding on the head, Ryo quickly activate his slow skill. The time immediately slow down, Ryo smile to himself, in a rush he killed the rest of the ogres as soon as possible before the time was up. By the time was up he already stab all of the ogres on the head and were tending to Reena wounds, trying his best to stop the bleeding on her head.

Looking at his top left view, there’s [7] notification, when he press the notification all of the details that should have appeared during the battle, opens up.

“Mutated? Hmm…” (Ryo)

Looking helplessly at Reena, he was very worried but after a while he notice that Reena breathing had slowly return to normal so he decided to loot all of the bodies. While looting, he accidentally step on one of the gashapon that had drop by the ogres, after being step, the capsule had open up, showing the body of the ogre. Ryo bend down to pick up the toy, but upon touching the toy ogre, it gives off a bright green light and suddenly the toy had miraculously fade inside Ryo body. He was stun, clueless but after he receive a message, it made him incredibly happy.

“Hahahaha…..Hahahaha damn you god! Why didn’t you tell me this before?” (Ryo)

Ryo quickly took out all of the gashapon that he had received from each monster, in a rush he open the capsule one by one and touch them, each gave out a green light that slowly fade in his body, surprisingly he couldn’t absorb all of them at the same time so he started observing the amount of stats that he was given.

In the end, after taking all of the gashapon, his status had increased tremendously.

“Damn!! I can’t believe that toy bear gave me 1,235 Dexterity! Eh? I never see this before… Endurance?”

EnduranceThe amount of Endurance the person has is equal to the damage that the person will nullify when being hit.

“Oh … so if I got hit by 200 damage, I only receive 12 damage, this is cool though if I don’t have my identification skill, I wouldn’t know how much damage will the monster deal, sigh… this murderer title, I forgot I had it.” (Ryo)

MurdererWhen kill innocent people or criminal, individual will gain 10 permanent point on each stat and gain a considerable pleasure.

“……….I don’t know whether I should be happy or not, and WHAT’S THIS CONSIDERABLE PLEASURE, Reena, I blame you for this… wait no… God I blame you!!” (Ryo)

While letting Reena rest on his lap, Ryo were thinking about the gashapon that he receives every time he kill something, to summarize he thinks that god would want him to live while telling him that his past cannot be erase thus he still remembered the stupid things that he had done in the previous world before he had died, and the guilt he feels were starting to make him depress.

“Erg… Ryo? Morning… why are you in my room?” (Reena)

“Reena……its Night… We are not in your room, we are in the forest.” (Ryo)

“EHH?” (Reena)

Reena quickly woke herself up, that night Ryo explain to her what had happen to him after she got hit though he left out the gashapon, explaining to her would be troublesome. Reena, apologizes to him endlessly till it was almost morning thus forcing him to accept her apology, after he made Reena to be the lookout he go to sleep.
