Chapter 7 – Kitaro Village

Before anything else, Ryo needed to think of a way on how to get in the village without causing any unnecessary trouble.

“So? What’s your plan?” (Reena)

“I’ve got one, I think…. It will probably work, anyway you’re not a criminal right?” (Ryo)

“Of course I’m not! Who do you think I am?”(Reena)

“Muscle brain… Or was it the head… Both the same I guess?” (Ryo)

“Hmph!! I should called you a murderer then!!” (Reena)

“Hey that’s a little too much don’t you think?” (Ryo)

“And muscle head is not!?” (Reena)

“…………Anyway you go in normally and I’ll sneak pass by them” (Ryo)

“Hey don’t suddenly change the topic! ….. Moouu… Fine… And how are you going to do that?” (Reena)

“I’m not the number one assassin just for show you know!?” (Ryo)

“…... H…Hey you told me that you didn’t kill and murder anyone isn’t!?” (Reena)

“I’m just joking haha ‘well not in this world at least’, and didn’t I say I didn’t kill anyone yet?”(Ryo)

“Sigh… Kk… Just do your thing, I’ll meet you at the Tarou Inn alright? …. Don’t you dare run away alright?” (Reena)

“Yea yea, where would I go anyway?” (Ryo)

Ryo get close enough to the gate so that he have ample time to sneak in before the timer runs out. The guards were about to see him when he quickly activated his skill [slow].

SlowActiveWhen activated, the time slows down 95% while the individual is able to move normally. Increases 5 percent per level [Able to slow down for 15 seconds (Cool down 5 minutes)]Level 10 max

When the skill had activated, Ryo quickly dash forward and even before the timer had reached 9 seconds, he was already inside the village trying to find any hidden spots so that when the timer stops he wouldn’t just pop out in front of someone’s view, and surprise them.

“This should be pretty hidden… Okay let’s go with this…”(Ryo)

Ryo hid himself at an alley and after the timer reaches zero, he goes out from the alley acting natural. He got pretty hyped up after seeing the village and the people that were walking here and there. Some were shouting and selling their merchandise, it is like a night market (Pasar malam) in Singapore but without the roof and it is during the day. Previously he didn’t have the time to enjoy the view due to how he needed to focus on getting into the village but thinking about it, he was lucky that he didn’t get distracted. Thinking about being caught by the guards really scared him the most, he doesn’t want to keep on fighting people non-stop that would totally wreck his enjoyment in this world.

“Reena told me about some inn that I should go… where was it… What was it called again? …. Shit…Let’s just ask someone…. Hey!” (Ryo)

Ryo called someone, a young kid, the boy is wearing a formal clothing that looks really expensive. Hearing someone trying to call either him or someone near him, the boy turn around to look at Ryo.

“Such a nice clothes you are wearing, but don’t you think that it is little too hot for the weather to wear something like this? ……. Eh wait … Ignore what I just said, sorry for judging you, do you know any nearest inn around here?” (Ryo)

“……………. Weird person….. How do you do, the inn you looking for is probably the Tarou inn, it is just straight up ahead and turn right” (Young Kid)

“Arh yeah, that’s it, Tarou inn! Thanks kid!”(Ryo)

After waving and thanking the kid, he walk off towards the direction that the kid were showing before he forget about it.

“You’re welcome, weird man” (Young Kid)

“Master, who is that boy you talking to?” (???)

“No idea, He is probably a new adventurer that has reached here” (Young Kid)

“How do you know master?” (???)

“His aura…. It is more powerful than I’ve ever felt before, he feels like a dangerous man” (Young Kid)

“Should I track him, in case he do anything bad?” (???)

“Nah, we need to solve this problem before that” (Young Kid)

“Yes! I’m sorry Master! “ (???)

In the meantime, looking at the big board saying ‘Tarou Inn’, Ryo immediately walk in. The inn were almost full even though it is still afternoon, People were chattering some of them were even fighting and insulting each other. Approaching the counter, Ryo intent to order some food and drinks for himself.

“Welcome to Tarou Inn” (Lady)

A dazzling smile were revealed from the lady, Ryo just ignore it as it is probably her business smile to the customer and ask about the food around here.

“Is there a menu that I could at least know what to order?” (Ryo)

“Ohh! I’m sorry sir, please wait a moment” (Lady)

The lady took out a menu from the drawer, brushing the dust off from it and finally pass it to Ryo.

“New people rarely come around here is it?” (Ryo)

From how the menu is being kept till dust gathered, shows that all of the people in the village is the regulars and new adventurers or even merchant had not came here.

“Of course, we are too far away from the human capital but luckily some of the beast man villages is south of here thus we could make trading with them, though it’s not like we are too friendly that they approach our village.” (Lady)

“Ohhh there are beast man around here!? Cool I could get to meet with them!” (Ryo)

“You are not listening aren’t you… anyway what do you want to order?” (Lady)

“Uhh … can I have this …. Fried rice with beef and a plain water.” (Ryo)

“Sure, altogether will be 1 silver” (Lady)

‘Eh!? That’s cheap… Then with this much money, I could live here for more than one month. That’s reassuring’

Ryo pass the money towards the lady and walk towards an empty table, listening to the people chatting and there were a few that was glaring at him due to the fact that he didn’t bring any weapon with him and thought that he is an easy prey. Some of them even talk about the adventures that they have gone.

“Hey did you know that the Magician Nanami decided to hire some people to accompany her to the beastman village” (???)

“What!? Is that true! What am I doing here then!?” (???) The man quickly rush out towards the guild to accept her request

“But the journey to the beastman isn’t that easy, so many people have died trying to reach there, that’s why only the beastman travel to us to do trading, not the other way around.” (???)

‘There’s a magician in this village that’s cool, I could learn a thing or two from her, I do really want a magic spells, that would be awesome.’ (Ryo)

Suddenly the door were kick open!
