Chapter 6 – Companion? [Part 2]

‘Reena what’s wrong with you! That murderer is totally going to kill you!! ………’ (Reena) She was blaming herself in her mind. At the same time Reena was panicking and trying to find a way to escape from the scene.

“Hey Ren, where’s the nearest village or town?” (Ryo)

“Why? My name is not Ren! It’s Reena!” (Reena)

Despite her body that is telling her to run away, Reena tried her best to confront the murderer. She knew that if she run away now, the village behind her will definitely be in danger. Gripping her long sword hard enough in which had made a crack on her sword handle.

“….. Reena was it? …. You want to know the reason why? To sleep of course? Wait …. Don’t tell me the there’s no Inn??” (Ryo)

While speaking to Reena, Ryo slowly walk towards her as he didn’t like to shout from all the way across, but to Reena, she become more aware of Ryo actions and ready her stance in order to counter what the murderer is going to do.

“…. Sleep? Hah! Don’t lie! Murderer like you will kill everyone! Don’t you dare, take another step!” (Reena)

Hearing the word murderer that was express by Reena aggressively, Ryo unconsciously smile and still stubbornly approach Reena while showing that he is not prepared to fight.

“Murderer? Hahaha I thought you said you’re a good actor? You are such a good liar, aren’t you?” (Ryo)

‘Arh! I busted my own act, but I don’t think anyone would believe in such a lie… Unless… ’ Reena glance back again towards Ryo ‘He is that stupid?’ Anyway I need take my chances, need to get the first strike on him.

“Yearhh!!! Wind Slash!!” (Reena)

Reena use her skill [Wind Slash] to try to end the murderer as quickly as possible, her skill had slice anything that was on the way even air.

Whisshhhh

The sound of the air being cut.

After using her slash, she realize that the murderer had disappeared and in a split of a second the man appeared right in front of her with his hand pointed straight on her face. She knew that on that moment, she will die. Closing her eyes as she brace for the attack that was being thrown out.

‘I’m sorry mum… dad…’

A strong flick to her forehead was all it took to bring Reena down. Reena on the other hand were sitting down while rubbing her forehead with her right hand. She was still confuse on why the murderer didn’t kill her.

“Hey come on Reena, I don’t have all day. Where’s the nearest village?” (Ryo)

“Huh?..... You …. You didn’t kill me?” (Reena)

Ryo crouch down and look at Reena close

‘Oh wow… didn’t think that a muscle head like her could be so beautiful up close’

Looking up close, Ryo saw the beauty in Reena, having blue eyes, red hair and a good body proportion for her.

“Why should I kill such a beautiful girl and I needed someone to guide me to the village anyway” (Ryo)

Hearing the word beautiful, Reena quickly covered her top with both of her arms while glaring at Ryo. Still stuttering, she mumbled to herself.

“…. He……He is going to rape me…… Arhh…… mum, dad… help me…” (Reena)

Even though she mumbled to herself, Ryo heard it and was devastated by it, he was slightly angered and irritated by the way Reena had misinterpreted his actions.

“Oi…..”

Ryo knock Reena head to gain her attention.

“Owwww…..”

Reena received the actions by rubbing her head while looking at Ryo, tears started to pour out from her eyes.

“I’m going to say this once…. I am not a murderer well haven’t yet…. I’m not going to rape or kill you…. I just want to know the information of where’s the nearest village you get that??” (Ryo)

Reena slowly nodded her head and ask…

“Are you going to loot and kill the villages then...?”

“Nope stupid!”

Ryo knock her head again, while Reena were complaining that it was painful. Ryo lend a hand to Reena that was still sitting on the ground. After Reena had manage to stand up with the help of Ryo, she mumbled and said thanks. Apparently Ryo heard it and nodded in response.

“Okay now that this is solve, let’s go to the village!!” (Ryo)

“Oh…Ohhh!” (Reena)

Ryo were cheering while raising up his left hand, he was excited to go to a village. In which Reena unexpectedly followed Ryo pace and started cheering as well.

While on the way to the village, Ryo asked some questions in regards to what had happen a few hours ago.

“Hey do you have some sort of ability that can identify a person?” (Ryo)

“…eh? ….Heh!? H..How did you know?” (Reena)

“Well … You guess my infamy correctly?” (Ryo)

“Huh!? ….. You……You knew your own infamy?” (Reena)

“………What? I’m not supposed to know?” (Ryo)

Getting answer from Reena, apparently she got the skill [Identify] on the day she was born, but in this world there are no one other than her got the ability rather than the magical tool that the guards have in front of the gate that will tell whether someone is wanted or not. Reena also told him that there are categories for the infamy. Killing 1 innocent person will give 25 infamy, calculating in his mind, Ryo were shocked that he had unexpectedly kill 200 innocent lives, in that expressway accident. People that kill more than 50 innocent lives will be revealed as a wanted man while killing more than 150 will be judge as dangerous and the King will apparently put a bounty on any person that had been discovered dangerous.

Ryo back were drenched in sweat thinking that if he were to get caught, everyone may try to kill him as the bounty that the King give is around 1 platinum. Hearing about platinum, Ryo ask about the currency thus knowing that 1 platinum is 100 gold, 1 gold is 100 silver while 1 silver is 100 copper. An average family of four would spent only 3 silver per day, 108 silver per month. Speaking of month, there are 10 months in a year in which 36 days make up of a month. This amounted to 360 days per year.

In which, Ryo now realized why did Reena were scared shitless when she saw him. Though it still doesn’t explain why she is okay now.

“By the way how do you intent to get in the village…” (Reena)

“What do you mean? …. Is there a requirement or something? ” (Ryo)

“Didn’t I told you just now? The guards is able to tell whether you are a criminal or not” (Reena)

“Shit…… speaking of which isn’t that the village?” (Ryo)

“Yup!! Welcome to my village, it’s called Kitaro village!” (Reena)

“ ……….. Ohh…….”

Before anything else, Ryo needed to think of a way on how to get in the village without causing any unnecessary trouble.
