《A Guy, A Latte and Status Screen.》Chapter 11

A few days had passed since Wa Lui Qi got discharged from the hospital. It was pretty hard for him to get back into the rhythm of his former daily life. But after resting for another day while using Cook to restore his health and making sandwiches to complete his order, he started to get the gist out of it.
Lui Qi already put one point into Focus and Knowledge, so now he could produce five Side Snack for each hour. He already calculated it by working 13 hours a day, and by working meant making sandwiches while watching Youtube. At the worst, he was sure enough to produce at the very least 50 Side Snack per day.
Setting the calculation aside, he now was standing in front of Mr Chang's store. At first, he thought Mr Chang would cancel any further order from him... but much to his surprise. "What kind of businessman late to deliver his own goods for a whole week?!"
He got yelled. There was not much Lui Qi could do about it though. From what he knew, it seemed Mr Chang himself went to his apartment on the very first day to take the sandwiches. "The apartment owner already said I got hospitalized, right? And didn't I already send the notice and the apologize to you?"
"Who cares about what happen to you?! You should've just made the sandwiches from the hospital and sent it to me!" Mr Chang said. On the other hand, Lui Qi couldn't answer him. It was true that he could do that, but that thought just never crossed his mind.
Though, albeit protesting much, Mr Chang still took the sandwiches. "...How do you get profit from this?" He said when he noticed there were five sandwiches in each bag.
"I don't know if this is a way for you to say apology, but there's no way I don't feel guilty by ripping off a greenhorn like you." He said, then pay seven bucks for each bag.
Not like Lui Qi protested about Mr Chang decision, in fact, he could only grin at him. All in all, Lui Qi skating out from Mr Chang store with $70 in his pocket. That was almost equal to the amount he gained by working as a dishwasher for 10 hours.
Speaking of his dishwashing job. Because Lui Qi was absent for a whole week, another part-timer was now replacing him. Not like he got bothered by it, considering he now could focus more on his times by selling the sandwich.

And in the last seven days, Lui Qi himself already made several plans for his business.
First was by taking a loan... and maybe started selling it in a food truck.
Second, he could take the order from his neighbourhood.
And third by selling it to the local business.
The first option was kinda hard for him. Considering he didn't have any collateral for the guarantee.
The second option itself wasn't that bad. And he could sell it at a higher price, compared to the third options. But he also needed to consider that, at most, they would only buy one or two lunch bag at most.
Therefore, he concluded the third option was the best one. Not to mention many of food business would throw the food away if they didn't manage to sell it, so he didn't need to worry about his food 'magically' disappeared.
Skating his way to the local minimarket, then a coffee shop, turning around to the restaurant, crossing the street to get to the home depot, waiting for the line at the office cafeteria and many more. Before lunchtime was over, Wa Lui Qi already made a contract with three places, including Mr Chang.
Sitting on a bench, eating a sandwich, Lui Qi frowned a little bit when he saw a green dot walking in front of him. It didn't get explained on the skill description, but he just made the assumption that the green dot was a Demi-Human.
Lui Qi blinked three times, and the scally lizardman that was walking in a suit now turned back into his human form.
He found this method by an accident though. He just walking around at the hospital, stretching his body when he saw another green dot also walking around. Indeed he already knew the existence of Demi-Human but he couldn't help but blinked away when he saw a giant walking fox... and before he knew it, the fox already turned into one of the doctors.
"Who would've thought that weird shit is really happening in this world huh." Lui Qi said, nibbling on his sandwich while browsing through the net with his new phone. The box that Paul gave to him was surprisingly not money or some tools related to the Hunter. It was a phone to replace the one that Young lady broke up when she dropped it at the truck incident. Not like he protested about it, considering he just traded a 3rd generation phone with the X series.

"But man... will it kill them to at the very least tell me the 'young lady' name?" Lui Qi muttered. Even until the end, he didn't know a single thing about them.
Lui Qi opening his status, lazily staring at it as he inhaled the smoke from his cigarette. He now had two new class that he newly got after surviving the last Demi-Human attack. They were: Protector for Physical and Deceiver for Magical.
None of them piqued his interest. For now, Lui Qi personally thought it would be best to take Magical class, considering the amount of bonus it would give to his Mana.
But there was another thing that also piqued his interest. It was raising Chef to level 2, or taking Merchant.
For the former, he might get a new selection of menu, and maybe, a more expensive menu would appear.
For the later, it was a little bit of a gamble. But after researching on the net, he found out that in a fantasy story, Merchant was somewhat related to Item Box skill. That would mean he didn't need to worry about destroying his sandwich by running at a full speed.
Then again, he already spent seven days thinking about which class he should take, and today, he already promised himself to make the decision. So, without thinking too much, Lui Qi clicked Merchant.
Congratulations! You have received the class of Merchant Lvl 1. You have gained the skill Item Box Lvl 1. You have received the skill Appraise Lvl 1. You have received the skill Shop Lvl 1. You may learn 2 additional skills from this class. Skills may be forgotten to learn new skills. +4 Health, +6 Stamina. + 1 to Strength, Vitality, Wisdom, Charisma, Deception and Willpower.
Merchant Skills:
Item Box Lvl 1: Able to store up to 100kg of non-living things not bigger than 1-meter cubic in a pocket space. Cost: None.
Appraise Lvl 1: Able to see and object information. (Upgrade to give more information.) Cost: 1 Mana.
Summon Cart Lvl 1: Summon a magical 2x1 meter cart that can be used to display your goods. The cart and the object on the inside will weight 50% less if the caster is the one that pulls it. (Upgrade to give more function.) Cost: 40 Mana. Duration: 7 days (Once it is summoned, the caster can summon-unsummon the cart as many times as s/he wants it.)
The other two skills were; Pay and Salvage. And only five skills that were greyed out.
But just as Lui Qi guessed. Item Bag!
100kg might not be much, but since he mainly would just use it to put the sandwiches, he didn’t find any problem with only 100kg capacity.
As for Appraise, Lui Qi silently used it on the bench and much to his surprise... it was pretty disappointing. It only showed him another screen, with nothing more than the tittle box, showing him the name of an item and a bigger box that showed the general description of the bench. Then again, the skill description itself said he needed to upgrade it for more information, but for now, he just assumed it was useless.
Summon Cart might be useful if Lui Qi still planned to sell his sandwiches at the morning market. Though, if he could say it, he just got the skill a little bit too late.
Shrugging his shoulder, Lui Qi just put the last of his status point into Strength. As for the skills, he just felt slipping away every time he ran at maximum speed was kinda annoying, thus, he spent 1 skill point to learn Sharp Turn. As for the other one, he just decided to save it for the right skill.
Sharp Turn Lvl 1: Able to instantly turn away without stopping when running. (Max speed 60Km/h)
