《The New Start By Sudar》Chapter 23 To Alanora Academy

Sitting on a wooden chair in the fort i am watching albi gathering some items and dumping them into the void i am still
really tired and try to take my breath albi seems really energetic thou and after 30 minutes we took everything of
use i calculated on what we had so far how much gold should i say the number was... 6732 gold pieces...
and 3 royal notes that was a lot i was surprised by the number of how much money we had on top of it we had
a lot of weapons and clothes that i can use furniture and skill books some unknown gems that can go for more money
for a 7 year old this is just too much thinking about it i have already done things that a normal 7 year old wouldnt do
why didnt anyone stop me ?
While i was retorting in my heart albi poked me and i looked at her she was looking at the gate and said
-they are coming
At first i had a question mark above my head but then i realized what she meant by "they"
-yeah we should go i cant fight all day long we got a lot of items from here and it wouldnt be good to be late
Albi nodded and i opened a gate under our feat and in a split second we were far away in a plain field next to me was my mother
she looked at me relieved there were a lot of other people who noticed me coming out of nowhere i wont explain
anything thou the first one to speak was my mother
-ohh i am glad you are okey what took you that long ?!
-i was chased and ran away
I couldnt think of a better lie then that she didnt need to know more than that so i explained it that way she was relieved
in a kind of way but as soon as she calmed down she got stiff again this time it was the villagers they all were looking at
me with hard looks on their faces i didnt get what they wanted i saved their children after all they didnt seem like
they would talk to me or anything but then i saw lucy she came running to me
-thanks damon thank you for saving me and my father
Lucy was thankful that i saved her she didnt seem like she will question me on what i did or anything i just said that
there was no problem and moved along later on we just continued walking i soon spotted the carriage of the princesses
lucy was talking to me the whole time and i listened and commented to some of it the villagers still didnt talk to me
maybe their children told them what they saw and dont want to talk to me neither way i didnt care albi was sleeping

on my head i was thinking of making custom cat clothes so she would be more comfortable i will think about it later
We were walking for a hour now we stopped for a break i still didnt know where we were going nor what we would do
so i asked my mother
-mom where are we going ?
-hmmm
Mother was making her famous thinking pose and said
-we will probably ask help from the kingdom but that will take 2 weeks for us
2 WEEKS ! okey that time by foot wasnt really comfortable for me mother then said that we would take help and
rebuild the village but thinking about it she said another thing
-Damon it is probably better that you should go to the academy after 2 months you will turn 8 and will be able to attend classes
on top of it you can go their and tell Isneralda about the current situation she will help you and bring you to the school
dorms were you will stay and also bring drew with you she is supposed to be your maid and she will also go their for school
to look after you well that will probably not be needed you just needed to look after her instead that way i am more calmer
and also take the princesses with you they royalty catherine and sophia will also attend school catherine told me
After she finished giving me instructions she hugged my caressing my head albi jumped off
It felt really strange i never felt something like this before i was really calm even thought the thinks that had happened so
far as if nothing of that mattered anymore it was that kind of feeling after some minutes mother let go
and i asked
-by the way can i bring albi with me ?
Mother smiled and said
-isnt she your familiar of course she can come too
I was a little startled and surprised when she said familiar so i said
-so you knew ?
-Of course i knew i can sense magic beings from miles away you know it wasnt hard to spot her but she is rally good
Mother looked at the white cat that always comes with me albi and said
-take good care of my son and protect him understood
Albi nodded in her cat form mother probably knows she can transform the were looking at each other still not in
hostility but in some other way i believe
After that mother explained to me what i should do she also gave me 5 gold coins but i stopped her i told her that i already
grabbed enough money when i was there she gave me a confused look and then remembered something and laughed she still
gave me the gold coins saying that money is never enough i held onto them because mother insisted i didnt put them into

the void and kept them in my pocket for safe keep now that i was thinking about money the 3 royal notes were from the
gray robed mage who called himself grimor of the acid snake he had many items in his robe the robe itself was a artifact
that has resistance to elemental damage and quickens the mana recovery rate he had many potions as well the robe can also
store a lot more then 4 bags can hold and still have a little weight like a normal robe has
I moved forward and called drew she was holding a staff and had a blue robe she had some blood on her robe and looked
at me she had a cheerful expression when she saw me and so i explained to her what we would do she nodded energeticly
and came with me we were heading to the princesses until a familiar face showed up
-Hello Damon
I looked to my side and there he was luke he seemed to have recovered to some extend
-Hello luke i am glad your okey
-dont say it thanks lad for saving me and lucy
Lucy was standing behind luke smiling at me
-So where are you two going ?
He was asking me and drew i told him that we were going to the princesses so we could go to the academy by teleport
he didnt ask how we would go there seems like he doesnt want to pry into it without my permission i was glad
-hmm i understand lad in that case i want to ask you a favor
-a favor ?
-it is shameless to ask me even thought you saved us but lucy over here also will attend school in the alanora academy
she will attend blacksmithing class i also graduated from that school you know thats why she wants to walk into my
footsteps
I looked at lucy she was confused why her father would say such think and was staring at her father he continued
-seeing that you will also go to that school i want you accompany her and look after her so i can calm a little
we will rebuild the village but i still dont think it is safe so i want you to take her with you and help her when she
needs it
I nodded in understanding lucy didnt seem to mind she was excited and came to me
-Damon you are also going to attend school what class will you take ?
Classes ? ahh the job class seeing that lucy takes blacksmithing i also have to take a job class
-i dont know i decide when i arrive
-humm
Lucy nodded in understanding and followed us luke gave Lucy 5 gold coins telling her something i heard that my mother
had already payed for all the meals and living expenses including that i could take every kind of class i would desire
the 5 gold coins were only for pocket money i guess after a month mother will probably give another 5 gold
Now that i am thinking about it how come luke has that much money and can pay lucys school expenses he also said
that he attened the school and graduated but he is a blacksmith in a little village someone in his skills would go better wouldnt
he but wait he also wasnt killed when he was captured more like tortured but they didnt seem like got any
answers and kept him to rot who is this luke person ?
Thinking about it i realized that i shouldnt pry on other peoples business seeing that he respects my privacy as well
So after that we walked to the princesses carriage the guards stopped us saying that no one is allowed to come near
one of the guards recognized me and told the other guards that i am allowed to enter he was the guardian who i fought
cant remember his name thou
I knocked at the door of the carriage and saw catherines face she looked at the window and smiled seeing me
opening the carriage she jumped and hugged me
-you are okey !
For a second i though that she was about to hit me on surprise i didnt want to fight because i was still really exhausted
After her sophia also came out and greeted me and so as we all had gathered i started explaining what i would do
and if they would join me they both agreed on it after that sophia ordered the knights
2 hours later we all were ready to go everyone had their luggage they looked at me and asked
-where is your luggage
I didnt have any my mother told me that when the attack started fireballs rained down our house and burned everything down
the only thing she rescued was money and all of the books all of my clothes were burned down but she kept all of her documents
and books she gave me the books saying that i will need it moe than her by the way she has a ring that can store items in it
it is called the ring of space it is also a artifact originaly she wanted to give to me but seeing that i had my void ability
it got useless
-well i buy new stuff
-i help you buy it !
catherine shouted as if challenging something
After that i opened a gate the destination alanora academy headmistress bracelet i dont know if it really will work seeing that
it is really far away but i still tried i opened the gate and bound it to the destination it is working so far
-Now everyone jump in we will be in the school
Everyone was nervous the portal looked like it would devour people it was black so with purple fragments flying in it
-lets go !
the first to jump in was catherine and then lucy after everyone jumped in i was last and got in

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)

This work is a direct sequel to The Crimson Mage, and will obviously contain major spoilers for that work, so it might be a better place to start (though I will warn you that the first chapter of that story may be the worst thing I've ever written. Just power through it or encorage me to put up a second draft). It can be found here: https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/21654/the-crimson-mage/chapter/307763/chapter-1

Being unable to even take his own life, Damien struggles to get past each day, looking for something to live for. With every passing day, Damien becomes more solemn and impassive. Three months later, Damien has almost given up, but to his surprise something unexpected happens. He is given the chance of a lifetime; to take part in a study focused on researching the effects of VR games on quadriplegic patients. Authors Note: If you find that the dialogue from the prologue to chapter 5 seem to be not that smooth, I apologize for that, it was my first time writing a fanfic so the dialogue was not in a format that is ideal. However, due to reader comments and some research I will try to attempt to improve the dialogue from chapter 6 and onwards. I may or may not come back to edit the first few chapters since I would have to rewrite most of it and I would rather spend that time writing out more of the story.
