***Bam!***
The hammer made contact with the glowing piece of metal. And every hit drained my stamina and energy from me. The metal was slowly taking the shape I had wanted and with every strike, little by little the blade made progress towards that shape.
When the blade finally took the form it was supposed to be I dipped it in the water. Steam erupted in my face as the blade cooled down. I then took the blade and started attaching the hilt to it. I carved my name on the blade and when it was all done I gave a nod.
“Identify!”
normal Dagger
A normal quality dagger made by a beginner smith though it doesn’t give special effects the creator made it filled with great determination and heart.
Damage: 10-15
Durability: 30/30
Requirements: 14 dexterity
It was a blade that he could equip. After turning in that quest yesterday before going home he gained 3 levels and the reward was unexpected. The librarian, Maria was surprised at how fast I learned then. Actually she said she was an adventurer from the city and moved here when she retired. She actually retired pretty young, saying that she got a grave injury from a quest and since then retired. She offered to me as a reward was how to teach me magic since she was a mage before.
I was ecstatic. Yes! This is why this world is great! Magic, it didn’t exist on earth but here it was pretty common…Hmmmph actually it’s pretty rare but hey at least you could use magic here. And thus I am to be given training in magic.
Ashtrall or should I say master Ashtrall came and inspected the blade that I had forged. He gave a quick glance at it and said that it was no good. He had me forge another pile of daggers until he was finally satisfied. He taught me how to forge yesterday. It took a toll on my body yesterday further giving an increase in my strength and vitality. Willpower and endurance increased as well. This forging continued on for the rest of the days of the weak until it was finally Sunday.
I went to the library and there Maria was already waiting for me.
“Took you long enough kid.”
“my names Himalos! Not kid!” I declared
“Alright then Himalos, During our training our training you shall call me master, understand?”
I gave her a nod and replied.
“Yes master”
“Good” Maria said as she gave a smile.
She then went out of the backdoor and gestured for me to follow her. I did so silently. When we reached outside there was a small clearing and a few straw dummies.
“Alright Himalos for our first lesson you will learn how to draw out mana.” She then gave a quick pause to see if I was listening. She then continued on.

“Mana is present in every creature of the world. But only few are able to harness this energy. To draw it out focus on your self.”
I did so. I closed my eyes and started to focus.
“Next try to imagine a river flowing, and then slowly approach that river and try to think of yourself as holding a bucket.”
I could understand what she meant and started to imagine the river while I approach it carrying a bucket.
“Good last try to scoop up some of that water from the river and slowly drench yourself with the water.” She continued on
I continued on with my visualization and followed her instructions. Slowly I felt the cold water fall on my body. I opened my eyes to see if I actually was drenched> To my surprise a dark reddish aura was enveloping my body. It was like steam gushing out from me. I was surely dumbfounded.

AffinityFire:100%Water:0%Earth:0%Wind:0%Darkness:100%Light:0%
I stared at Master maria as she seemed dumbfounded. She immediately gained her composure.
“What your seeing is your mana. It manifest the color of the affinities you are adept with. My, my seeing an affinity with dark sure is rare. Mostly only demons get affinities with dark only a few special people gets it.”
“ I see”
{So that means I’m special hell yeah!} I was partying in my mind and it seems that my joy leaked and the master noticed this.
“I would’nt be so happy if I were you, you only passed the preliminaries there are mor to come.”
I immediately straightened out and urged myself to focus on the current task.
“alright next is this she took out a dagger, Since I’m pretty sure you don’t want to be a mage take this dagger.”
I took it from her hands and asked her what I’m going to do with it. She began to smile and told me.
“use your mana manipulation.”
I called out mana manipulation and an aura of black and red appeared. Master Maria gave a nod and started to speak.
“Next try to remember that river, This time try to think that rivers water flowing into your hand and gushing at the blade.
I easily did what she told me and I opened my eyes. Mana was now being distributed to the blade. It glinted as the black and red formed a swirl around it.

Ding!
You have learned Mana manifestation
Mana manifestation lvl.1(beginner)
By letting your mana flow to an object it is able to manifest . Depending on the users affinity It could give additional power, durability or defense.
“alright now try to identify the dagger”
“Identify!”
Ding!
Common dagger(Manifested)
A common dagger with normal quality. Due to users affinities the mana manifestated will add dfire and dark damage.
Damage: 10-15(fire)(dark)
Wow I thought. This was a great discovery! Adding damage would be effective against monsters. Well that’s todays lesson. Continue repeating the training and try experimenting a little. As she was about to leave I asked her.
“Master how do you cast spells?”
She gave a quick smile.
“Well that may be a little advance for you but I’ll tell you anyway since you pick up things fast. In order to cast spells you could read spell books and memorize the chant. BUT there is another way for you to use spells.”
I got the fact that you have to read spell books since that was common in every game, but what got my attention was another way than reading spell books.
“First you focus on your mind a clear image of the spell that you want to use. Next Imagine yourself that spell manifesting outside and slowly draw out the mana that you need. Although you need to have affinities with the nature that is required in the spell that you want to use”
“wait so master if you want to create a fireball you need to have a certain amount of affinity with that nature?”
“Yes my dear student, truly you do catch on fast. Next is it is possible to create a unique spell only exclusive to you however there are risks in creating new spells.”
“Such as” I questioned
“Such as that spell exploding in your face or the spell going out of control. So I advise you not to use this method since it is very dangerous and you also need to focus highly to use this method.”
She then left and went back to the library to man her post again. I smiled at what I just learned. I immediately started my training. I started to focus and used mana channeling. Once mana gushed out I used Mana manifestation on my dagger. After it manifested I tried to imagine the blade getting longer and was in the shape of a katana. The black swirl that formed in the blade started to extend and slowly it took the form of a katana.
Ding!
[you have created a new skill! Please set a name[/window]
“Blade extension”
Blade extension lvl.1(beginner)(Active)
By using mana you are able to make the blade longer.
Effects:
• Blade can extend 24 inches
• Added fire and dark damage
Mana cost/s: 25
He saw the window and it seems that the new skill cost him a lot of mana. So at most he can only use the skill for 13 seconds. Nevertheless it would be useful. Eyeing the black red blade now in the form of the katana in his hand he now tried visualizing it becoming a short sword, then an tomahawk, next was an short battle axe.
Ding!Ding!Ding!
Mana channeling has leveled up
Mana manifestation has leveled up
ou have learned the skill Mana shifting
Mana shifting lvl.1(beginner)(Active)
The concept of using objects as an medium and by changing form you are able to create a temporarily different object.
Effects:
• Able to change an objects form: can only change to shorts word, katana, tomahawk, and small battle axe.
Mana cost: 100 per shift
Duration: 1 minute
When he finish shifting he suddenly felt exhausted and fell to the ground butt first. The black red swirl disappeared in a cloud and the dagger reemerged. I guess that the endeavor was worth it. I didn’t attempt at creating spells firs since his focus was still low and he needed to level up his intelligence and wisdom first so that his mana pool would increase.
He rested his body byusing meditation. While he was in a state of Nirvana a few boxes appeared.
Ding!
Intelligence has increased by 1
Wisdom increased by 1
I see so you can’t just acquire intelligence and wisdom by reading huh? I continued on with my meditation until I fully recovered my mana. I tried mana channeling again as well as Mana manifestation. I then used mana shifting again. I changed it to a katana. I opened my eyes and tried to remain focus. I eyed the straw dummy and then I roared.
--Backlash Blow!--
I dashed at the dummy and unleashed a fury of slashes. As each slash made contact Red and Black made a trail of the slash. Slowly getting faster and faster it became a dance of red and black. Without prior notice I prompted my pace to go faster. Slowly the dance became a blur and a tornado formed by the slash. After a few seconds I stopped. And when it was all over the straw dummy was cut into pieces.
Ding!
You have created a new skill! Please name the skil
“ Dance of the eternal.”
Dance of theEternal
A black and red tornado of blades formed by the fast paced attacked of the user. It cuts at the enemy leaving it to pieces without mercy.
Mana cost: 800

I gave a grin and thought.
{Its time to start some major Grinding.

"Don't we all feel, deep down, that we deserve the apocalypse?" APRIL, 2028—Global capitalism has collapsed. America has sealed itself off from the outside world, and inside its borders, a revolution rages. All it took was one incredible little machine. That machine turned into two, then four, then eight... like a virus, the replicators spread. As a work of oral history, The Good Crash features over 50 interviews with key witnesses to the events of 2027. The text is rendered in the words used by the interviewees themselves, with light editing for clarity and concision. As such, the book contains language and themes that are not appropriate for children.By capturing the voices to the people at the very root of the revolution, journalist and historian R. Vondersnitch has traced the origins and aftermath of the replicators' rapid spread. Crucially, the book also includes perspectives and testimony from those who attempted to stop the spread of the reps. "Some of these are heroes, too, in their own ways," the author writes in the book's introductory note.
