《Godfather of magical technology with a pinch of extortion》Chapter 9; Full body slime suit. Soul edition Re-writen V2

After breakfast, I make myself busy with preparing the ritual.
According to the book, all I need are the two vials included in the box, a place where I can draw and some oil.
Oil was easy to get, I just had to smuggle out a bit from the kitchen under guise of drinking some water. I did that last night too and it worked. For the circles, I will use wooden planks I found in a small storage room next to my own room. The ritual itself is not very big or complicated, thus a piece with the size of 30x30 cm was enough.
Carving the ritual into the wooden board did take me most of the morning. During the process, I wasted a couple of random wooden planks to practice. Then. When I had enough confidence, I carved the ritual into the most even piece of wood. I filled the lines with a mixture of oil and reagent A. then I mixed the other reagent in the tube with some oil.
Now the preparation is ready. The only thing I need to do now is to drink the vial and then use soul manipulation to circulate the oil in the carved lines below me. I am now standing on the wooden plate by the way. Though I am still unsure how I am supposed to circulate the oil inside me.
It becomes clear how to do it immediately. Suddenly something really strange happens or better-said something incredibly painful. It feels like my body is burning. My soul is also shuddering. The intense pain lasts for ten minutes, bevor it slowly subsides.
„Fucking hell that hurt. Fuck, fuck, FUCK!” I scream inside my mind. Hoping for the sweet release of death, which never comes. After the pain subsides, I notice an irregular film on the edges of my soul. It looks like the oil mixture covers the whole soul entity. The second soul also seems to hide inside. This may be the reason why I was able to manipulate the oil mixture. It might have incorporeal and corporeal parts.

Opening my eyes, I notice some differences. Firstly, there is some coal on the ground. I presume that was the plank I used for the ritual. The second thing is that I seem to be able to better differentiate colours, like my spectrum of colours has increased or I simply see more. I don’t know which of the two options was true. Though I am happy with the result. Some pain is nothing in comparison.
„Who would have thought that I’d think something like that, while in pain, huh?“ I mumble more to myself than anyone else.
Sweat was dripping down my body. At first, I take a towel and clean myself. Then I throw the charcoal out of the window and use the same, towel to clean up the floor. Better than nothing, but not good enough. I do not want to have to explain the black spots on the floor, thus I take extra care to not leave anything behind. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the foresight to use something underneath the ritual table. That takes me another hour.
Looking out of the window I guess the time. It is approximately two hours before dinner. This amount of time I will use for meditation. The speed of the non-evil meditation has also improved slightly. This might be an added benefit of the ritual.
After a refreshing meditation, I get called for dinner. Today it is some kind of turkey roast. I like it, but a pinch of salt would have helped. I also talk a bit with my parents about tomorrow.
The test will be taking place at noon. I still can have some meditation squeezed in before going. My father is going to accompany me. Other than that we do not talk a whole lot. Tomorrow is the day when I can finally drop this silly kid masquerade to start on the road of ultimate power.

„MUWHAHAHA. Uhm,“ I laugh maniacally after which I compos myself. I still have to work on my temper a bit.
+++++++++++
The next morning, I wake up around 8 am. Then I go to have some breakfast.
„Son, how are you feeling? Confident?“ Leon asks.
Looking up from my breakfast I answer. „Yes, I am. Are you confident in me, as well?“
„Haha, yes. That’s my boy! Go with confidence,” he said.
You might think that, but I am not your son, so mäh. If I saw you dying in a ditch, I would likely leave you be.
Hallelujah, this is hopefully my last day with those annoying people. Playing this character for a week was nothing short of torture. Naturally, I didn’t say that out loud. But that is my truthful opinion about this whole family thing.
I was not very close with my family back on earth, more precisely I got taken away from them. Why do you think, that my opinion about families would magically change because of transmigration? Yes, transmigration is cool, but that doesn’t make me social.
My nagging left behind, I am really happy to get rid of this family and finally embark on the road of ultimate power.
„Alright son let’s go,“ he said. He promptly leaves the house. With me following him like a happy little duckling.
It takes us forty minutes to reach the central square, where the black tower is located.
The farthest I ever went was the school. The way there and the building didn’t really interest me, thus I didn’t go exploring a lot. Another reason was my lack of money with my lack of knowledge of magical thinks. I didn’t wish to be the gawking idiot in a magical store who can’t afford anything
What I see here in comparison is fascinating. We are walking down a commercial street, I see a lot of wares. A lot of them I expect. Food, clothes and the likes. But I also see some strange shops, which sell ‚artefacts‘. Like the oven back at my former house. There were some kitchen gadgets, which would be normal on earth, but not here. Also, they do not look like I expect them to, I may have a plausible expectation when I see a portable heater. But the look and function do not add up to me. It is clear that they use some kind of alternative power source and inner workings. Not electricity.
But I digress. After the commercial street, we reach a big square, a huge one. It has place for at least 5000 people, and about a third of the place is full. The most eye-catching is the towering black Tower. Next to it are building like banks, shops for mages and the like.
The things I saw moving from my window turn out to be runes. Very similar to the strange language in the introductory book. The name of the Tower is written in blood red on top of the massive cave-like entrance
„MAGIC TOWER OF THE BLACK DEATH“
Very melodramatic but hey, I like the style.

Much like his father before him, the new master of House Doom is a prodigy of war, yet the venerable minions of his household still hold strange loyalties toward his missing ancestor, silently comparing the legendary rage of his father to the more pragmatic approach of the son. Adding to Basil’s frustrations is the lack of accomplishment he feels for his work, with the dungeon keeper often taking on handicaps just to give his enemies a fighting chance. With all the power and wealth one could ever dream of already within his grasp, Basil now finds that the achievements of others kindle more joy in his heart than his own crushing victories. Thus Basil has taken up mentoring the next generation of dungeon keepers to try and diagnose the cause for his own lack of passion. With his apprentice, Elnora, managing most of the daily work around the dungeon, Basil can finally turn his attention towards his personal concerns, such as tackling the shadow of his legendary father that still looms large over him.

The Saga of Armageddon: The Call of Crows
Bjorn Stormtamer's world has been turned upside down in more ways than one. His shipmates have left him for dead on an island for quarantining victims of a disease that he now has. His partner in battle despises him, his family thinks he's dead and everyone else thinks it was good riddance. Moreover, the world is under attack by a virulent plague that kills with light and an empire from the east whose intentions are unknown but whose methods are merciless and bloodthirsty. Little does he know that the world itself is nearly on the brink of cosmic collapse. But when a bold, charismatic woman from another nation seeks him out, Bjorn discovers that the plague he has was not a plague at all, but a trial. A trial to determine who is worthy to wield the power of gods in order to give humanity a fighting chance against the winds of fate. This novel was written 2 years ago and isn't exactly my best work. I'm still improving my skills, but I encourage you to enjoy it for what it's worth. ALSO, the whole plague thing was written about before the COVID pandemic. The plague is fake and actually magic in the story, but that has NOTHING to do with real world events. I am under NO CIRCUMSTANCE trying to make ANY kind of statement with it. Please just enjoy the story and stay safe.
