“What!?” Runa stared at Shisha with widened eyes. “Go, Golden Toad…?”

Shisha nodded while frowning.

Golden Toad…or should she calls it, the Golden Toad King; the master of the Golden Toad Swamp and one of the terrifying existences within the Desolate Plain. It was said that a drop of poison from the Golden Toad can kill even an Lv5 expert within a single day if not treated properly.

However, how can it be so easy to treat such poison…?

With one drop, it can even instant kill an Lv2 monster beast…much less a human!

“Then, this man…” Runa frowned.

But Shisha shook her head, her eyes flashing complicatedly, “This person should have died with this much poison on his body. in fact, it was already a miracle for him this long. Not only, but the most confusing part is that, for the love of god, this youth was still able to insist now and there were even some signs of him recovering… this is really strange…”

Being surrounded and blocked by a group of weaker humans, the Cyclops immediately let out a furious roar. Its huge wooden club violently slashed down, shaking the entire forest. The after force knocked against the shields that the mercenaries held in their hands, blowing them away.

“Hold it back! Vanguards to the front, mages attack its weak points!” Watching the group that had fallen into a disadvantaged position on the first exchange, the tall handsome man who had delivered the first blow, hurriedly ordered.

ROOOOAAAAARRRR!!!

The Cyclops stared at these humans, and a hint of viciousness flashed through its icy-black eyes. It immediately roared again, and the massive club in its hands once again swept the entire forest.

“Attack!”

The mercenaries all shouted out. A variety of attacks then exploded out at the same time. The sky became a dazzling spectacle of light as the rumbling magic power attacks collided with the overwhelming wooden club.

The formidable attacks collided heavily with each other in the sky, and a massive shockwave erupted out. A gorge was carved into the ground that had once been covered with abundant plants and trees.

Cyclops was from the giant race and also very rare monster materials. Its skin can be crafted into a high-level leather armor that can’t even be pierced by normal swords and weapons. The monster core was also as three to five times as big as the normal monster core of a magical beast and can be said be a real treasure…

In addition, the eye of the Cyclops was a valuable and precious treasure as well. With it, one can create an [ Eye Sentinel ] that can be sold for a very large sum of money.

[ Eye Sentinel ] was a magic item that looked like a modern video surveillance camera that enables people from a dozen kilometers away to be seen clearly through the [ Eye Sentinel ]. Thus, money for them was something, most of them, deemed as valuable as their lives.

“Attack!”

Another cry rang out. In the rear, the dozens of high-level mercenaries and warriors also let out a cry together.

Hundreds of magic attacks instantly swept out from them. Underneath this attack, even the trees were uprooted and the ground shook. Numerous lights pierced through the air and landed on the massive body of the Cyclops.

Dong!

A deep sound rang out constantly. Against such an attack, the Cyclops was actually forcibly blown back a few hundred meters. On the surface of its body, traces of scars appeared on its glistening dirt colored skin.

Roar!

When it was down, the mercenaries holding different kinds of weapons immediately surrounded the fallen monster and hacked with their swords, madly like crazed beasts--striking with different swords and martial techniques. They unleashed everything they can, without holding anything back.

The crowd hurriedly scattered and signs of people rushing away emerged throughout the forest.

“All-out attack everyone, let’s slay this beast!”

“Kill!”

“Let’s attack together!”

Various cries resounded throughout the sky. As their friends fall one by one from the Cyclops rampage, numerous people’s eyes turned red. They pushed their strength to the limits and started a bombardment on the Cyclops massive body.

Both sides were completely furious.

Suddenly…

“Where. Is. My. SOOOOONNNN!!!!!”

BOOOOOOOM!!!

The earth suddenly shook as if an earthquake has occurred and it suddenly cracked open. Then, numerous ice pillars erupted out into the sky.

Bellow!

A deep cry rang out accompanied by the erupting ice pillars. It resounded through the entire sky and a magic power pressure that was in no way inferior to the Cyclops was emitted out.

All the people, monsters or humans, all of their expressions instantly turned solemn. Even the Cyclops had a hint of shock flashed through its eyes and dread covered its face in an instant. It actually throws the large wooden club from its hands, turned around and actually started running away, like a dog with its tail tucked between its legs.

This sudden change startled the crowd of people to the point that they had forgotten to chase it and instead started looking around, fear and panic appeared on their expression.

A wolf’s howl.

However, unlike the normal wolf's howl, this howl seemed to have the power to shake heaven and earth as the ground started to tremble, as if in fear. All the creatures, monsters and beasts and even birds hurriedly scattered away like little spiders.

“GIVE ME BAAAAACKKK MY SOOOON!!!”

The leader of the Mercenary Company immediately retreated alongside a few people towards where Shisha and the others where. All of them wearing a terrified expression.

If they had the confidence to defeat a giant Cyclops before, then now, in front of this howl—instead of hope, only despair seemed to have been in their ends. The biting chill crawling from their skin was extremely terrifying.

The blizzard was exceedingly swift, and in a few seconds, it appeared in front of countless individuals. Then suddenly, when they were surveying the entire surroundings, their gazes suddenly caught the Cyclops struggling with something. Its massive face reflected the fear that it couldn’t be concealed.

A violent magic power erupted out, and around the massive Cyclops, ice started to condense at an alarming speed. In a few seconds, countless ice spears had formed. Every single one of these ice spears emitted out a magic power fluctuation that caused everyone to jump.

“You dare attack my son….!!!? Know your place you maggot!!”
