V2 Chapter 3
Rain shook his head and sigh; “However, even so… Dreams are dreams… whether they are real or not, doesn’t matter to me anymore. I have my new life; new love ones… new family…”
“… …”
“Mother, whether these dreams are my past life or not, it’s not something I would relive again…is it not?” Rain smiled at the wolf. His smile contained neither hypocrisy nor fake but instead, true smile like that of an innocent child.
“Doesn’t matter to me,” Looking at the youth’s handsome smile, the wolf felt a surge of warmth rush into her heart. Then, her eyes turned crescent as she walked towards him, “My child, whatever you wanted to do, I will watch you silently and support you. That is my duty and obligation as your parent—wherever you go, I shall accompany you till the ends of time…”
“Mother…”
“But, is leaving like this really the right choice…?” Suddenly the youth’s smile stiffened. The Wolf sigh. “If Lafetti knows that you slip out, you will be dragged back you know…”
“He he,” Rain revealed an embarrassed smile. “It’s fine, I had already received my permission from Zarda. Of course, my leave would have a time limit—at least, for several years before Lafetti gave birth, I shall do the things what I wanted to do…”
“Lafetti wouldn’t be able to follow me outside this span of time because of her pregnancy—according to Zarda, she should have two to three years before her labor. At that time she wouldn’t be allowed to go outside… then I still have time,” Rain chuckled.
“But isn’t this quite heartless, son? Lafetti needed you right now…the most, I daresay. She was carrying your child… my grandchild…” The wolf muttered.
“I know… but I have neither choice nor options… I don’t want my child to live in a time of chaos. As soon as possible, I wanted this continent to be at peace. In any case, I had promised her that I would return from time to time. Arturia had left me with quite an item…” Rain rubbed one of his rings and a light suddenly came up from within it. Grabbing the thing that was floating above it, Rain stared at the round mirror in his hands.
“With this, I can see her and the others whenever I wanted it…” It was a magical item. A mirror connected to rectangular mirror found within one of the rooms in her palace.
That Arturia was quite fancy—many magical items can be found inside the underground palace and most of them were tailored from famous fairytales back on Earth.
This mirror for example—‘Mirror, mirror, on the wall, show me the person my heart wants to see the most!’ it was a mirror created based on the story of Snow White, a fairytale from earth. The original caption was that ‘Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?’ by the evil queen.

However, this time, it wasn’t showing who was the most beautiful but the one that heart desires—
Indeed, Arturia has some strange hobbies and yet, one can imagine just how much she loved fairytales of Earth.
“Zarda was heartbroken as well—although she wanted for you to not go, you insisted. Right now, she must be panicking and regretting letting you go…”
Rain chuckled. “I know, Zarda can sometimes be so ironic. She forbids me to go but when I insisted and said that if she didn’t let me, she should just imprison me, she cried—then look, she yielded in an instant. Even Drova and Stagna were having a fit…”
“That’s because they love you so much…” Albe muttered amusedly.
“I know… I understand that all the best.” Rain smiled faintly. This one year of living with them was equivalent to entire years of his life back in Earth. Love, Happiness, Warmth, Family, all he sought was there, around him, like colors of the rainbow.
“But I can’t step back now… until I made sure that I can live with them without worries in the future—I won’t stop. I love Lafetti, I love Zarda as well, and the entire tribe—they are my family that I can’t bear to make them feel threatened from any kind of forces. With my abilities, I will make sure to give them a future they wouldn’t need to care about walking in the day again…”
Rain had always been a person who believed in a single love. He was a realist and the type of person who prioritized logic before feelings. His beliefs meant that he didn’t judge multiple loves as true love but rather, universal love. But, it was easier said than done.
When love arrives, who could control? Even him, the host will find it difficult to control.
There was a saying in the west, [ Love is a Hurricane ] and it wasn’t just a simple saying. It describes love perfectly well. Because, when Love arrives, everything turns upside down. People, belief, principle, moral, it wrecks everything to the point that a realist person would become an idealist and would believe that true love exists in multiple hearts—
In stories, many believe that love and beauties are always the cause of the hero’s doom—and yet, why does a hero still falls in love…?
Because that is something that even the greatest hero could never do…!!
The more one would try to control it, the less one would be able to. It’s not something meant to be controlled…
When one truly encounters love, their view will start to become completely different than how it had been. Rain was an example of this—Rain wanted the perfect love. And for him, Lafetti was his one true love. But, sadly, he didn’t have any control over his heart. Unbeknownst to him, and before he could even realize it himself, he had fallen in love with another woman aside from Lafetti—and that was none other than; Zarda.

He had accepted Zarda…
At first, he was skeptical but over time, he was already unable to leave her side.
“But, leaving them isn’t a good thing…son, no matter how much you wanted for their wellbeing, but all they wanted was for you to be with them. They didn’t ask for this, nor care about the future, because all they want …was you…”
“… …” Rain smiled and said nothing in response. He struck a lonely figure amidst the rain. Eventually, he seemed to merge into it. Even if a hot wind blew over him, it would do nothing to disperse him.
Because this was his life.
He wasn’t just someone who would enjoy life without worrying about the future.
The world outside might not be affecting them yet but slowly and slowly, Rain was certain that something will change…and Rain didn’t want to regret later because of things he didn’t do when he had the time and opportunity.
He was the type of man that wouldn’t do something he didn’t need to but when he deemed it necessary, he would do it quick. No matter what kind of problem comes after, he would make sure that he would see the end of it!
Such is life.
“New World, here I come!” As he walked through the rain, he lifted up his head, and his eyes glittered brilliantly.
He would never forget the stubborn desire to achieve the power to protect the people he loves. In this world, only the powerful can be invincible. And so, he would achieve that invincibility…!!
It’s his destiny!
Seeing her son like this, Alba can only sigh and follow. Whatever will be, will be… Arturia, it seems like the Gods are against you—no matter how much you tried to stop it, fate will always found his way—I already did all I can to help you, this time, I will be moving to help him…not for you.
My debt has been repaid…!

A huge group of people was walking through the quiet forest. There were numerous pairs of alert eyes that continued to scan the dark hidden spots of the surrounding forest while hands tightly gripped the weapons at various waists, ready to handle any sudden occurrences.
As veteran mercenaries that had survived the Boundary of the Desolate Plain for many years, even though many of them were cooperating with each other for the first time, they were still able to maintain a basic understanding with each other.
When they briefly exchanged glances, they could recognize the signs of both safety and danger from the other party’s eyes.
The Golden Toad Swamp is located in the southern part of the Desolate Plain. Moreover, it belongs to a rather remote region within the Forest region. Because of how dangerous it is, there were very few people who went there and hence, it had an extremely low popularity.
The Buzzling Town was quite far away from the Golden Toad Swamp. Therefore, Shisha and the others only reached the Golden Toad Swamp after 3 days.
Shisha stood on the slope of a hill and stared forward. What entered her sight was a dark and primitive forest. A grey deathly miasma covered the endless sky above the forest. This deathly miasma contained a highly toxic poison. Even Lv5 and Lv6 experts would not carelessly allow it to invade their bodies.
Even though they were separated by quite a bit of distance, Shisha could still feel the deathly aura and the stench of blood that emanated from the Golden Toad Swamp. This place was many times more dangerous than the Blade Lake, a place of death in the Eastern Part of the Desolate Plain.
Seeing this every part of the Desolate Plain is really dangerous. No wonder the people within the Lividia Continent would say that it was a forbidden land.
Shisha Cortex, the Vice Chief of an Organization called Thousand Medicine Pavilion. It was an organization extremely famous within the Lividia Continent, especially inside the Louridia Kingdom. It was said that the Thousand Medicine Pavilion was a very powerful and influential existence, and had a branch in every city in Lividia Continent.
They are one of the biggest shops for potions and elixirs. Moreover, this shop appeared to have quite a great reputation within the Louridia Kingdom.
At this moment, Shisha Cortex happened to have been looking for a particular herb within the Desolate Plain and thus, gathered an expeditionary team.
This was the fourth time she had entered this kind of place in her lifetime and she had already memorized the kind of scene that would happen next—just like this…!
At first, everything was quiet as they tread on the dim forest. Then, suddenly a small-scale attack by the monsters was cruelly played out before everyone’s eyes.

The Magitons
Book 3 of the Universe Series This novel continues the adventure from the previous novel, Ocean of Dreams. Each novel is meant to stand alone. Widhbo ( pronounced "wee bow") is a MC who will be in each of the six novels in the main series. The starship Sora had been hurtling through space using its FTL propulsion system toward the Dezba star system for over a decade since leaving the planet Beldora of the Hellsaxe system. The Sora had crash landed on Beldora over a century earlier carrying a couple of aliens from another dimension. The ship came from the Borrugal Realm, a band world associated with what was known as the Tor Galaxy, what we call the Milky Way. Human life on Beldora was never the same. Under the influence of the alien known as Widhbo, Beldora was catapulted from the steam age to the space age. The majority of the scientific advances on Beldora were attributed to the leadership of a brilliant man, Jejliard Castonea, who was secretly manipulated by the alien, Widhbo. When rapid advances in technology inadvertently led to a nuclear war, Jejliard decided to evacuate his family, friends and co-workers on the Sora. The plan was to find a new habitable planet and rebuild civilization until they could safely return home. Much to his despair, Jejliard’s family and friends opted to stay on Beldora to ride out the war underground. Even the other alien, Gengor, stayed behind. Borrowing technology stored in the archives of the Sora, Widhbo managed to transfer the personalities of those staying on the planet into digital storage units known as magitons which could survive indefinitely in cold, sterile space. Living crew members who elected to stay on board the Sora were also uploaded to ensure immortality for everyone in case their life support systems failed en route. Widhbo sought to design a cyber paradise for everyone inside their virtual worlds, but things never go as planned where Widhbo is concerned.
