Epilogue
“Rain,”
Princess Leticia called out to Rain.
The group, including Rain, Zarda, Lafetti, and Alba was standing at the entrance of the Monster Lair cave, seeing off Princess and the others.
Although they were not really that close but, this is what we call respect. In any case, they had spent quite a long time fighting together, sharing life and death.
Rain stepped forward. “Need anything else…?”
“Rain, won’t you really come… with us?”
Bang! The ground beneath them suddenly shook and all of the gazes immediately turned towards Lafetti and Zarda who was emitting a fearful and violent aura.
“Princess, don’t push our patience!” Zarda narrowed her eyes dangerously.
Princess Leticia didn’t say anything and completely ignore her as she continued to stare at Rain’s face.
Rain shook his head. “I can’t… and I won’t…”
“… …”
Rain smiled leisurely as he shrugs his shoulders; “In any case, your highness, I don’t believe that this would be our last meeting. I’m not that pessimistic and at the same not that optimistic.” Rain smiled wryly.
Meeting her again was actually not that bad. However, the thing is, the situation at that time… what would it be, I wonder?
Friend… or foe…
He hoped that it wouldn’t be as serious as he imagined but he wasn’t that optimistic…
Princess Leticia sighed. She thought for a moment, hesitate then finally muttered, “I won’t say this because I was thinking of the kingdom, this is my personal view…”
??
“Rain, I needed you…” Princess Leticia said seriously with a bit of pink shade dying her cheeks.
Rain’s eyes widened. Even Zarda and Lafetti were startled.
“What are you…–??”
“If I want to save this world, I want you to be by my side, helping me. I won’t lie. What I really wanted was your power, your abilities…” Of course, I would also not mind having you by my side… Princess Leticia added inside her heart.

However, she didn’t say it out loud. Since, as a princess, it would be quite… a problem. Besides in this situation, its credibility would be questioned…
And the biggest reason was that she still doesn’t know what she really thinks about him.
Rain, for her, was unfathomable existence. A mystery she just couldn’t understand…
And as normal as it could be… she feared him similar to humans who have an innate fear of unknowns…
Rain was like a double-edged sword.
She can cut enemies with it but at the same time, she can also be hurt by it if she used wrongly.
And she doesn’t have any confidence in controlling him…
“So that’s what you mean…” Rain sighed. But for some reason, aside from relief, he actually felt disappointment… damn, what is happening to him!
He wasn’t a playboy… really!!
One or two women is enough for him!
“What? Did it make your heart skipped…?” Princess Leticia smiled mischievously as she raised her hand and touched Rain’s chest with her finger.
“Please don’t joke like that… I have a very fragile heart…” Rain smiled wryly.
“Anyway, Rain, please consider my proposition…” Princess Leticia smiled. “I will do my best to keep your situation a secret for now. And also including the Hero’s inheritance… I will make sure that no one would try to disturb your life here…”
“…?” Rain stared at the Princess doubtfully. Why is she doing this…?
Although Princess Leticia noticed Rain’s doubt but she decided to ignore it and just turned around, slowly walking away.
“…I will be waiting, Rain…”
“… …”
“I hope you can really consider it…”
After Princess Leticia, under the Lamian’s glare, Celis and Celia also came forward and huge Rain while saying their goodbye. Doram and Garas also came over, and after exchanging one last salute, the human group started walking away.

Rain and the others stared at the group until they were finally swallowed by the huge forest.
His gaze then turned towards the sky. There, he could still see Amila hovering in the sky, happy and excited for the freedom she had finally regained after a very long time.
“Thus, the Dungeon Arc finally comes to an end…” Rain softly muttered.
“Did you say something Rain?” Zarda grabbed Rain’s hand while Lafetti grabbed the other.
“Nothing,” Rain grins. “Let’s go,” he said turning around and walking back to the tribe.
They still have many things to do…
Rain acquired many things in this expedition but the most important thing was that he had finally found a goal to strive with.
Although he wasn’t interested in saving the world and become a Hero but, at least he wouldn’t be bored for quite some time.
–Dungeon Arc End.

Follow along with our main character as he struggles to establish his new identity while the shadows of his past threaten to consume him. To be a detested hero or celebrated villain? Only time will tell. Author’s Note: Heavily influenced by fantasy goodness far and wide, I hope to make it somewhat original with a sense of familiarity to you. The overall story is pieced together through the perspective of the characters presented, first + third person narrative styles because I enjoy reading novels with similar storytelling. Please feel free to provide any comments and constructive criticisms for me because I love to read what you think so I can continue to improve on my imperfections and make the story better. Cheers!
