Chapter 78: [ Dragon Heart ]
Rain felt the unimaginable power within him and even his mana had been filled up completely when he consumed Dragon Flesh.
Sylphy could only helplessly mutter how OP Rain’s ability was in absorbing not only abilities but also magic power.
It’s as if there was a black hole inside of him that absorbed even the slightest amount of mana in the things he had eaten!
He was full of energy.
“Rain, what do you think we should do?” As Rain was feeling happy on his power-up, a voice rang beside him.
From who knows when, Princess Leticia, Celia, Celis, Doram, and Garas was sitting beside him and the others. Now, on Rain’s left side was the Princess Group while on the right side was Lafetti’s group.
“What?” Rain asked confused. What are they talking about?
Princess Leticia smiled wryly. He wasn’t really listening, huh, “It’s this, what do you think? Proceed or go back?”
“… …” Rain frowned. What is she asking me this for? A test?
Besides, does my opinion even matters…?
“Truthfully, I also don’t know. I will leave the decision to you, your highness as you are the leader of this group.” Rain’s words made Princess Leticia extremely satisfied. Indeed, she was still the leader of this group!
She then sent a glance at Zarda who rolled her eyes.
“However, I just want to remind you that this Dragon might not be the only Dragon we will meet if we still go on.” Rain’s eyes were extremely serious. He didn’t care what these people end up with... in fact, among them, only Celia and Celis were the people he treated as friends.
The only thing important to him was Zarda and the others. He wouldn’t hesitate to abandon these people during the fight and escape with Zarda and the rest of the Lamians along with Alba.
“Do you really think that…?” Princess Leticia also frowned.
If they still met a Dragon at this time, there is a high chance that they will be annihilated.
Rain nodded his head.
Princess Leticia fell in deep thought. Then, as if she had decided something she raised her head and stared at Rain, “We will proceed,”

?!!
“However, the moment we saw a Dragon we will immediately withdraw and retreat. For now, we don’t have enough forces to fight against another Dragon… but we also need to gather information first.”
“Your call,” Rain shrugs.

After two days of resting (According to the time they sleep and woke up –calculated by Rain) they finally continued their expedition.
The crowd including Rain entered the main hall that their field of view was unusually clear.
It’s not like they can’t see all this time but it’s quite dim. Only Rain and the Lamian group didn’t have any problem in the dark.
Besides, when one looked at the main hall from the outside, it appeared very bleak and desolate, basically one would not be able to make out anything inside distinctly, but none of them expected that when they entered the hall, they would be able to see the surroundings this clearly.
It’s as if there was a sun shining up above or probably numerous LED bulb was lighting the entire place.
Rain stared ahead and clearly saw that, in the innermost reaches of the main hall, there was an altar that had three artifacts as if they were placed there as an offering.
The middle one was a black cloak, the one on the left was an expensive looking crystal double-handed axe, while the one on the right was a Bow-like artifact.
However, what made the others felt down was that on the right side of the altar, a familiar looking sculptor of a huge Dragon was there.
Unlike from the one before, it was not made from stone but… Ice!
Even at their distance, they could still feel the chill emitting from it.
Princess Leticia heavily sighed. It seems like the expedition would really stop at this moment…
That ice sculptor should be a Dragon guardian…
“Let’s leave…”
Princess Leticia helplessly muttered when a Crack! Crack! sound appeared and the Dragon’s ice sculptor slowly cracked over.
The Princess and the others immediately jumped back in fright.
They immediately prepared themselves to run away at any moment when a dignified voice rang out.
“Gura hashta fagna be kula?”
“What? What did it say?” Princess Leticia asked Celia who was quite knowledgeable in other languages. Her gaze never left the Dragon.

She prepared herself that the moment it showed a hint of danger, she would immediately rush out of the place.
Celia shook her head. “I don’t know. It should be in Ancient Dragon Tongue… I can’t –”
“Dusha, memabi lacti sod uram…” A voice echoed in the whole place.
In an instant, all attention immediately turned towards the source of the voice. Rain.
“You, you can understand and even speak Dragon Language?!” Celia’s eyes widened in shock!
How broad is his Lingual ability!?
She hadn’t even met an Aquarian that can do something like this up until now…!
Dragon Language was extremely complex and old –the people that can understand it can only be counted by one hand and for those who can speak… who knows how many of them were there!
Thus, being able to understand and even speak it was really amazing!
“Hm? Fugsta bemi do langud bani fu?”
Rain nodded with a smile. He then stepped forward and started walking towards it.
Lafetti tried to stop him but Rain shook his head and said, ‘I’m fine,’
Princess Leticia looked at Rain laughing and chatting with the Dragon as if they’re old friends and couldn’t help but feel a complicated feeling. She wasn’t the only one as even Zarda and Alba felt amazed by the sudden event.
They couldn’t understand what they are talking but the atmosphere around them was certainly harmonious.
Still, no one tried to step forward and joined them – even Princess Leticia didn’t dare to.
Rain continued to laugh and chat with the Ice Dragon.
“Reru?”
“Lavita Ukma Sifauna,” The Ice Dragon suddenly stood up, startling the others. It then spewed a bluish white colored ball which was slowly floating towards Rain.
Rain reaches his two hands and caught the Bluish white orb.
“Reru? Numa Kani lubarati?”
“Dada Gula, hukhamat Savati gan,”
Rain nodded and then slowly absorbed the orb towards his body. This action suddenly startled the others and their eyes widened in shock and doubt!
What is going?!
What the heck had just happened!!?
Rain’s body momentarily lit up.
[ Master! You have successfully acquired Dragon Heart! Your partner is Amila the Snow Dragon! ]
“Human, with this, if you betrayed my trust, you will die painfully…” The Snow Dragon Amila showed its fangs – Though Rain felt like she was trying to grin.
“I know,” Rain nodded. “In any case, I don’t have any planning on betraying my friends. I will let you out from this place and you will give me power – that is a fair price, if I may say so myself,”
He flashed a faint smile.
Like the Fire Dragon, Amila and the Shadow Dragon was actually imprisoned in this ruins by a curse.
It was a Soul Curse.
They will only come alive when intruders appeared and stepped in a certain range and for her, the moment someone entered the hall, she will come out from her prison.
If the people leave or die, she will return to being an ice sculptor.
The only way to release them is to die – such a cruel curse. And it was made none other than by Arturia Pendragon; the extremely famous hero who wields the Holy Sword Excalibur that is sleeping deep in this ruins!
However, there was actually another way.
A Soul Contract towards other beings.
The so-called Dragon Heart!
To be able to share heart and life with a Dragon.
With this, the Dragon will be free from the curse as it would be rewritten the existing soul contract!
However, the Dragons would never do something like this as the contract like this can never be broken or nulled. And if the other party died, they too would lose their lives – in simple terms, they would live as one!
No Dragons would possibly want to share their life with a fragile race, especially a human.
But Amila the Snow Dragon didn’t mind. She was extremely bored in this prison that she longed for the world outside. And although she was reluctant to do it but the moment she saw Rain, she suddenly felt a dragon-like aura from him.
Either he was a half-dragon or worst… he was a Dragon Slayer!
And Amila immediately concluded that Rain was a Dragon Slayer the moment she saw the [ Dragon’s Claw ] from Rain’s arm.
And this fortified her decision.
