Chapter 75: [ Something is Off ]
“Can’t you rest a bit?”
Alba sighed. “With the Dragon’s current state, even without you, we can still defeat it.”
Rain shook his head. That is something he can’t allow!
The enormous amount of experience he would acquire from killing the Dragon would surely turn to bubble.
“I want to kill it with my own hands… revenge for nearly killing me…” Rain said an excuse.
Alba sighed. Well, it should be wonderful that her pup was growing splendidly!
Indeed! Nothing as honorable as killing a Dragon!
“Be careful!” Alba jumped from the walls to walls and after gaining a momentum, she exerted all her strength and jumped high towards the Dragon.
Rain narrowed his eyes and also jumped from Alba’s back and then clung to the Dragon’s back again.
“You!!” The Fire Dragon felt someone clinging to his back and when it noticed Rain, its eyes widened in shock. Again!?
Rain sneered and raised his fist. With three sharp claws protruding, he barrages the Dragon’s neck with dozens of punches. Pale bluish arcs of electricity circled around his arms.
Roooooaaarrr!!
Rain held on tightly as to not be thrown off while stabbing his blades on the Dragon’s neck at the same time.
Rooooaaarrrr!!
At this very moment, at the corner of his eyes, Rain noticed the dozens of magic spells that were flying towards them. All kinds of spells from wind, water, fire, and ice.
When he looked down, Rain saw the warriors continuing their own onslaught. Seeing this, Rain thought of something.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The moment the magic spell hit the Dragon’s body, Rain’s eyes lit up.
“Hazy Mist!!” he softly muttered as he immediately conjured his magic.
In an instant, a thick mist had suddenly enveloped the Dragon’s body along with Rain.
Seeing this, the princess and the others were startled. What happened?
Where this mist does comes from?!
Roooaaaarrrrr!!!!
No one could see what is happening inside but the Princess and the others could hear an indistinct blood-curdling scream inside of it. It was a Dragon’s Roar.
What is happening!?
The crowd momentarily stopped and then glanced at each other. Their gaze saying ‘What should we do? Go in?’

But what if this mist was done by the Dragon…?
Then, wouldn’t they just be throwing themselves into a trap…?
Princess Leticia turned her head and looked at Zarda and the other Lamians and saw their expression of worries.
That’s right! Rain is still there!!
Her head whipped and returned towards the Dragon’s direction.
“Char –??”
Feeling conflicted, Princess Leticia was about to yell Charge but ROOOAAARRR!! A huge pillar of flame suddenly came out from the Mist and then swayed around that the crowd immediately rolled away and dodge, afraid to be hit.
Then, Rooooaaaarrr!! – Another pillar of flame appeared from the Mist and the two Flame Pillars intertwined.
The two flame pillars looked like two snake type beasts as they coiled around each other; as if trying to swallow the other.
ROOOOAAAARRRR!!!
The flame pillars suddenly disappeared.
“… …”
Then… silence…
Thud!! – before anyone could react, a huge body fell down on the ground with a loud Bang!
What!? When the mist disappeared, what greeted the crowd was the Fire Dragon’s unmoving body. Its pair of eyes was still wide open, full of resentment and disbelief that it had already reached the yellow river!
To be killed by a human… what kind of humiliation was that!
Just what had happened in that span of time!?
“Haa, Haa, Haa,” As the crowd stood shock at the sudden development, their ears caught a strange sound.
When they turned their heads towards the source, Rain was there, kneeling and panting. His face extremely pale and haggard. His hair was even messy and his clothes ragged and wrecked.
“Rain!!” Zarda and the others immediately rushed towards him.
Seeing that aside from some burns on his arms and abdomen, there were no grave injuries, the women finally heave a sigh of relief. They didn’t acre how Rain managed to kill the Dragon or what had happened inside that hazy fog… as long as Rain was fine, that is all that matters.
Lafetti immediately conjures a water ball and slowly clean his wounds especially those ugly looking burns.
Fortunately, this world has magic that can make any wounds disappear without leaving a single scar and after a few minutes of treatment, Rain’s arms slowly regained their smooth appearance.

“Rain, what happened?” Princess Leticia walked over and asked.
Rain blinked as he felt all the eyes concentrated on him and smiled wryly.
“I killed it…” He said. He then took a deep breath and slowly stood up.
“Though, I’m pretty exhausted already… so please excuse me,” Rain smiled apologetically as he brushed the dirt off himself.
He then took Lafetti’s hands and slowly walked towards the side. In any case, with that intense battle just now, everyone should be exhausted too. Thus, a rest was inevitable before they go and continue their expedition.
Princess Leticia wanted to stop him but Zarda, Drova, and Stagna appeared in front of her. They were smiling but the princess could feel their eyes were not. It’s as if they were saying, ‘The Dragon was dead… so what else do you want…?’
Princess Leticia was struck speechless as she watched Zarda and the other’s backs walking away.
Strange…
What are they hiding…?
It wasn’t only the Princess who thought of that. Celis and Celia walked forward and stood beside Princess Leticia, staring at Rain. Their eyes full of suspicions and doubts.
“Something is off…” Celis said while biting her lip.
“I know… that Aquarian, Rain… his power and ability is extremely strange. Extremely powerful and volatile…” Celia responded with a heavy tone. “Although, out of all Clans, the Aquarians have always been the most unpredictable – whether in terms of character and powers – they are the most eccentric in nature… but this…”
She turned to Princess Leticia, “I had never met someone like him before. He was too mysterious…”
Princess Leticia was silent for a moment before saying, “The more I want him on our side…” Her eyes narrowed.
“I don’t know about the heroes but I don’t want to just leave this world’s sake to those outsiders who were not a part of this in the first place at all… I’d rather save it myself.” Princess Leticia said with a heavy voice. “That is also the reason why I’m looking for the Legendary Holy Sword… but now, I realized…”
??
“Even if I indeed acquire a great weapon like the Holy Sword… I still need people who can aid me in my cause. Reliable and powerful individuals…”
“Just like …him.” Princess Leticia’s voice became even firmer that Celis and Celia were startled.
This was the first time they had seen the princes acting like this…
Princess Leticia had always been a genius in every aspect.
Politics or Military – she was someone who had been admired by all the citizens of the kingdom.
And this was the first time Princess Leticia had wanted someone this strongly.
“He certainly has [ Lingual Intuition ] as all Aquarians do. All Aquarians have that, giving them the ability to learn every language easily and even communicate with monsters and beasts. Though I don’t know if he also inherited the ability; [ Soul Travel ] but whether he has it or not, it doesn’t matter.”
“In my opinion, his combat and magic ability are already too extraordinary… and did you see his gauntlet?” Princess Leticia suddenly turned around and asked. Her eyes shining.
“I also noticed that…” Doram followed by Garas walked over as well.
“And from what I can see, it’s not just an ordinary and simple item… it must be an artifact.”
“That’s right,” Princess Leticia nodded her head. “It’s a magical artifact… if not, what he did to block the Dragon’s Breath can’t be explained. And in addition, it’s not just an average magic artifact – it’s certainly a high-level artifact!”
“Then what are you gonna do?” Celis asked worriedly.
“Nothing for now,” Princess Leticia returned her gaze at Rain who was already resting beside the Lamians.
“… The problem is, he won’t work for you, your highness…” Garas spoke causing the others to frown as well.
This was also the problem they were thinking. Apart from the character that all Aquarians share with, the desire to not be tied down and walk on their own pace, from what they have seen from Rain so far, his case seemed to be even greater than the other Aquarians.
Besides, one can already say that Rain was already treading a path different from them.
He had already marked the line between him and the Kingdom.
The princess was silent before raising her head. “He will be…”
