Chapter 61: [ Lightning Tornado ]
Rip!!
A large lizard’s sharp claws slashed Rain’s leather clothes. He was hit in his chest.
An “Uh!?” escaped his lips as his obsidian-colored hair flew around.
He backflipped thrice in the air and landed agily, creating a distance from the large lizard that was as large as a dog.
[ Agility EX ] [ Rapid Dash ]
Rain immediately activated his skills and rushed towards the large lizard while throwing three daggers.
Clang! Clang! Two Daggers successfully lodged on the monster’s skin while one was repelled with its thick armor-like scales.
Spark! Lightning run through the wire and immediately electrocuting the monster causing it to shriek in pain. Using this as a chance, Rain used his left hand as a fulcrum and delivered a low spinning kick, hitting the lizard’s head.
Taking advantage of its moment of numbness due to the electricity, Rain’s hand stretched towards the lizard’s mouth and, [ Flamethrower ]!!
His hands lit up with a scarlet light and Boom! Flames sprouted from his hands and into the lizard’s mouth.
In just a blink of an eye, the large lizard fell down, smoking like a scorched meat. It was even releasing a cooked smell.
Seeing the monster finally died, Rain let out a short breath before turning around and looking for another prey. He can’t waste time. He wanted to become even stronger as soon as possible and watching the others fight reinforced that determination.
He was still too weak compared to them though he was indeed catching up in an extremely fast speed. If the others knew that Rain had been started fighting for two to three months only, they would certainly fell down in shock.
Rain’s strength and skills are like those veterans who had been fighting and training for a year and more already. Even his strength was almost comparable to a Lv2 or Lv3 at most. How could that level be reached only after several months?
As for Rain using [ Flamethrower ], Princess Leticia and the others weren’t surprised anymore as they had already concluded that Rain was a Tri-Elemental – Water, Fire, and Lightning.

He was indeed a very valuable expert that would be sought by every Kingdom.
Only Zarda, Stagna, Drova and Lafetti knew the truth and no matter how much time passed by, they still couldn’t help but feel shocked at Rain’s rapid advancement. How is this possible!?
However, they knew better not to say nor ask these kinds of things, especially with this human group around or else, they would surely drag Rain with them even more.
Rain surveyed the entire area. The others were fighting two–three monsters; Blood Lizards, Fang Rats and Crobats while the others were being besieged by dozens.
Although they had already expected for there to be monsters behind the trap door, however, Rain never expected for this to be so many!
The moment they entered the room, they were immediately attacked. Monsters were coming out endlessly from every direction as if they had long been waiting for visitors.
Rain was thinking for a bit and then finally decided. He would go for Crobats first!
As far as Rain could remember, Bats never liked the light and so, Rain grabbed his wired daggers and throws all of them in random directions.
Grabbing the end wire, Rain used activated his Electricity and in no time at all, the wire daggers started crackling in live electric sparks, giving off an intense light.
“Kyaaah!!” Those Crobats who are close at the wire was stunned at the sudden piercing light and electricity and immediately fell to the ground, confused and numb while the others flew away terrified.
Grinning, Rain immediately rushed down and started stabbing those who had fallen. “Kyaaaaakk!!”
Screams one after another rang out, filling the entire room.
“Kyaaaakkk!!” However, there still seems to be dozens of Crobats left and so Rain decided to use an ultimate move and round them all in one fell swoop!
“Everyone, be careful!” Rain called out, attracting the other’s attention. “I’m going to use an AOE, so you better put your seatbelts on and grabbed anything you find!” He raised his both hands high and gathered as much mana as he could.
[ Lightning Tornado ]!

After a short moment, wind gathered around the Crobats, Blood Lizards, and Fang Rats which was pouring endlessly from every direction. The win looked like as if rotating while increasing its speed every second.
The others felt the sudden change in the area and immediately retreated, their hearts violently shook from shock.
What is he going to do?!
The group wasn’t the only one that was alarmed. The sudden gust was felt by all creatures and instantly, their attention went towards the source, Rain.
[ Lightning Tornado ] was a very difficult magic spell Rain had created through theories up until now. It was based on Rain’s understanding of Tornadoes he had learned from school. However, this magic spell’s consumption was extremely tremendous. Thus, Rain had never been able to conjure it properly up until now.
But now that his mana had finally reached the A ranked level, close to S rank, he could barely cast a very destructive mini-sized tornado.
Rain lifted his hands above his head like he was trying to grab something in the air.
His consciousness expanded greatly.
For as far as his mind could reach, an area of about dozen of meters in radius, all molecules located therein become Rain’s receptors, continuously transmitting an endless stream of information.
This amount of data -of which a human’s weak and fragile mind would probably be difficult to handle even the tiniest fraction–Rain, with serious concentration, controlled with his will.
He picked out the necessary data from the scene in front of him, at the same time surveying the situation of everything within his domain.
This can almost be called the viewpoint of a god - a power beyond human knowledge or understanding.
The monsters were there, gathered conveniently…
With his expanded perception, he can clearly see the location of his enemies and the exact location where he uses his magic.
And after several minutes passed by, the flow of the wind started to swirl around.
At this moment, the monsters finally felt some kind of danger and they hurriedly rushed towards Rain. But before they could reach him, Lafetti, Stagna, and Drova stood protectively in front of him.
Rain ignored the monsters rushing at him since Lafetti and the others were already guarding him, he felt secure. He focused all his attention towards what he was doing.
Princess Leticia hesitated for a moment before diving in to join Lafetti and the others. Although he doesn’t know what Rain was trying to do but he seems to be doing something… interesting. Even now, although she wasn’t as gifted as Magical creatures like Lamias but she can also feel the turbulent state of the mana around them due to her being a mage as well.
… … Still not done?
Glancing at Rain from time to time, she saw that Rain was closing his eyes, focusing deeply and did not appear to notice the battle in front of him. Despite her reluctance to admit it, the lack of attention somewhat filled her with unease.
Finally, after a few minutes of waiting, a small atmospheric swirl that looked like a hole had opened in the earth had taken a spherical form above Rain’s head. If one looks closely, it was as if the wind was rotating in a very rapid manner, forming a tornado.
At first, the tornado was only at half a meter radius. However, it rapidly increased in size as the wind started to rotate stronger and it then kept growing bigger.
Matching its name, lightning began to wrap around the tornado at the same time.
Rocks, corpses, dirt and many other things in the area were swept up with it and that giant swirl of destruction with a radius of a few dozen meters gave its joyous birth cry.
“Step back!!” Rain cried out.
Seeing the lightning tornado, much less Lafetti, and the others, Princess Leticia was dumbstruck by Rain’s magic. However, she was not a beginner as she immediately returned to her senses and rushed back.
Rain waited for Lafetti and the others to escape behind him before throwing the small lightning tornado standing from his palm towards the monsters.
“Devour!!”
