Chapter 54: [ This isn't my world ]
Inside the tribe, two groups were made.
One group was composed of humans while the other was the Lamia tribe.
After a few moments of consideration, Zarda let the Princess and her group rest, though not inside the tribe but just outside the fence.
There, a large number of people are sitting in a circle, eating and drinking. In the center, a bonfire was blazing. Bright and flickering.
Rain, escaping from the Lamias too much care, run to the human side. This action caused the humans to garner hate and jealousy from the Lamias.
In an instant, all eyes are on him. Though Rain ignored it magnificently as he makes his way to the Princess’ location with Alba following his side.
“Oh, if it’s not the awesome playboy?” Princess spoke the moment her eyes landed on him. Her voice was extremely cold and sarcastic and her eyes seemed to have the ability to burn those she laid her eyes on.
Rain felt a shiver on his spine but he still maintained his faint smile. “Awesome playboy, huh… unfortunately, that kind of title doesn’t suit me at all…”
“… …” The Princess snorted, clearly not agreeing his claim.
“I’m just an ordinary man with some special circumstances…” Rain said as he sat down in the chair beside Celis without invitation. “As for the tribe, they just see me as someone important due to me being able to understand them and sympathize with them. Trade with another man, he would probably stand in my current position,”
“I don’t think that’s possible,” A voice responded behind him. Turning his head, Zarda together with Lafetti, Drova and Stagna were slowly making their way to him.
They followed… huh… Rain mused.
Zarda and the others arrival attracted the surrounding’s attention. However, not a single one dared to block their way as they know that it was not their position to do it. The crowd slowly discussed amongst themselves.
“It’s true that we really want a male that could accept us and continue our bloodline – that would certainly be beneficial to the tribe,” Zarda said with a faint smile.
“Other men would probably be better for reproduction than you, Rain, however, you would be making a mistake if you think that we would be fine with any man – at least for me, that is not true.”
“We wanted you to stay here and take care of you because you are Rain, that’s all there, is to it…” Zarda said as she extended her hand and started gently stroking Rain’s hair.

Rain was rendered speechless at this unintentional comeback.
He suddenly realized how embarrassing it sounded!
Lafetti noticed Rain’s scarlet colored face and was annoyed. I had already step back because of the blunder I made but doing it like this is already too much! You actually want to use this opportunity to steal MY Rain from me! Damn Thieving Snake!!
Lafetti was enraged and immediately walked forward, pushing Zarda aside and embracing Rain’s head, showing how much she cared for him.
Seeing this, much less Zarda, even the Princess and the other frowned.
Princess Leticia snorted and then ordered Doram and Garas to bring several chairs. Since the servants and the other people were stationed outside the Monster Lair, she has no servant with her at this moment.
Zarda and the other sat down beside Rain – the position was Rain, Alba, Lafetti, Zarda, Drova and Stagna respectively.
“Since Rain was already here, don’t you think we need to conclude that thing?”
“What thing?” Rain asked, perplexed.
Zarda was about to respond when Princess Leticia spoke first. “Rain, the history of the human and monsters have always been a ragged edge.” Princess Leticia’s words angered Lafetti, Drova, and Stagna.
What is she on about?
Zarda, on the other hand, just smiled but anyone can see that her smile didn’t reach her eyes. The green snakes on the top of her head all stood up and were glaring at her as if they wanted to devour her.
But Zarda didn’t stop her and Princess Leticia also didn’t mind their threatening glares and continued, “Human and Monster can never reconcile because of the deep-seated hatred they bore. When a human tried to enter the world of monsters, he would then die at the hands of a monster. Because most monsters don’t like humans associating with their kind and that also goes the same with humanity.”
"... ..."
“A relationship between humans and monsters would never bore fruit… only endless sadness and sorrows will it create.”
So she was talking about that…
Rain listened to Princess Leticia’s words. And felt what she was said was reasonable – though that would probably be if he was a person who was born and grows in this world. He would probably waver as such mindset has already been deep-rooted in this world's heart.
–Sadly, he wasn’t.
No matter how severe it was or how worse humans and monsters relationship was, as someone who had grown listening to virtuous of love and equality, and most of all, an adolescent who was greatly influenced by the otaku culture of human-nonhuman forbidden type kind of love –such thinking can’t possibly destroy the dreams of loving a woman whether she has cat ears, snake tail, scaled body or a lower half of a spider or a horse!
It would even probably make a blazing youth like him filled with hopes and dreams similar to a female’s bulging chests become extremely excited that he would destroy whatever it was blocking his road to love and dreams!
Monster? Heh, as long as it has holes, it’s worth loving! – Such a saying was once spread through the entire world, influencing love that transcends gender, age, and race.
Loving the same sex, animals and disregarding race, loving objects and people loving those decades younger or older, or even blood-related kins –people from Earth has such broad-minded views in terms of love.
Rain that grew to have such open-minded perception can’t possibly care about whether he loves a human or not. Especially, Lafetti and Zarda who had taken care of him and protected him despite him being human that had given them numerous scars that couldn’t be erased even with time…
“I know,” Thus, Rain said calmly. “But whether I would love a human or not, such thing cannot be decided by others but me.”
!!?
“In the first place, ever since I decided to do it, of course, I would have already accepted whatever kind of future I will have if I did it. I have already considered things beforehand –even in my death, I wouldn’t regret it.” A carefree, almost childlike smile grew on his lips. “They did say you don’t love someone because of their appearance. You love them because of who they are...”
!!?
“You have some misgivings about monsters, that I can’t blame you for it. History isn’t just there to narrate things that happened in the past but also to give the later generation a lesson that would help them in the future. So it’s only normal you will see and feel it like that but I am not.”
“… I don’t see your world as my world. I only believe what I personally see and feel –that is my world.”
“That is the only thing that I believe in. Just like what they say, ‘sometimes the heart sees what is invisible to the eye’” A quote from H. Jackson Brown, Jr. Rain believe that these words give weight to what he was feeling right now.
“And I had seen the kindness and love within them with my own eyes, ears and most of all my very own heart… of course; this was probably my own naivety for now since I still haven’t been betrayed once by them – giving me a childish thinking.”
“I won’t,” As Rain was speaking, Lafetti interjected with her usual calm and indifferent voice. “I swore that I will never betray you. I will give my life for you!”
Rain’s face blushed but he was also touched. His expression became even more determined.
Princess Leticia felt Rain’s strong will and determination and couldn’t help but feel complicated. It looks like true love, indeed, however, unfortunately, it doesn’t mean it’s real it was a good thing.
“The Kingdom won’t allow that kind of relationship,”
Bang! Zarda slam her hand on the table as she glared at Princess Leticia. Doram and Garas were about to draw their swords but Drova and Stagna were even faster and the blade was already at their throats.
“Kingdom this, kingdom that… I’m sick of listening to this kind of bullshit!” Zarda snarled. “Rain’s life and decision aren’t related to your kingdom at all! Once he had lost his memories, he had already been an outcast in your kingdom. He now belongs to us! And his life also belongs to us!”
“… …”
“When he needed most, where were you? No one had even tried looking for him! And you, I dare say, you didn’t come here because you are looking for him but for something different, isn’t it? You only accidentally met him and yet you’re talking as if you cared a great lot to him? You’re making me sick!” Zarda snorted in anger.
Princess Leticia completely ignored Zarda and looked at Rain before saying with a sigh. “If you insist on doing this, you will be persecuted by the Kingdom… hunted and treated as an enemy. You will then never be able to see your real family, again…”
“… …”
“Are you still going to marry them?”

The FPD (Fart Police Department)
The FPD (Fart Police Department) The world’s norms and ethics have drastically shifted for the worse after an uncontrollable flatus outbreak absorbed the world’s inhabitant, causing major depopulation on a global scale. Conversely, to remedy the spread of this vulgar contagion, the Societal Gods who were partially indirectly responsible for causing the outbreak, implemented certain strict measures for the servile humans to follow. These strict policies were commonly known to the general public as Fart Commandments. Thou shall not relieve themselves in public without following the proper guided measures; thou shall not relieve themselves in private without adhering to the strict guidelines; each new-born and younglings should be taken to the nearest medical facility regularly for inoculation; loose bottoms shall not be tolerated at any governing venues and face-masks should always be worn appropriately. Failure to adhere to the above commandments would result in a mandatory life sentence without a court appeal or probation unless they are of influential births and have authoritative backers. In this twisted society which had been established today a model young female who adhered to the strict policies all of her life without questioning, accidentally broke one of the Fart Commandments and found herself entangled with a rebellious group of uncouth individuals who opposed the Societal Gods. To regain her innocence and social standing among the civil society, this young lady dared challenge the Societal God’s ruling by utilizing the absolute thing that they detested the most which were the destructive vapours of her flatus. Certainly, she will suffer the excruciating consequences of defying her lords’ commandments. Gray's Crucible
“The value you have brought to trade is immense, more than a thousand fold what any other traveler to Crucible has ever produced. More than even I produced during my journey.” The old man paused for a moment here, seemingly reluctant to continue. After a few seconds he begins again with weariness creeping into his voice. “As the Messenger of Crucible I have received the value of your life. You shall be awarded a body with potential equaling the value you have brought to this place in accordance with the laws of the higher realms. Now you shall depart for Crucible, but first; I, Jaze, will give you some advice.” The old man, Jaze, he had named himself paused a time. Time enough that Gray began to wonder if he was still present, when he suddenly continued in a low and serious tone, “You will undoubtedly have great potential Gray of Earth, but it is still only potential. What could be is not necessarily what will be. If you step foolishly in my world, if you can not live up to the potential you have bartered for, Crucible will crush you mercilessly and tear away your very soul.” A thought, cheerful and light was heard from Gray before his presence was sent rocketing away like a shooting star. “I’m looking forward to it.”
