Chapter 53:[ The Troublemaker ]

Princess Leticia glared at Zarda without backing out, “His parents wanted to see him… and you want to deprive that small happiness of them?”

Princess Leticia truly wanted to bring Rain back. Not only due to Rain’s sake but also for the kingdom’s stability!

The Aquarian Clan would surely felt indebted to her if she would return the lost child. In that case, wouldn’t they support the royal family even more?

The covenant was already ancient, with the kingdom being unstable due to demon’s invasion, who knows someone might take fancy on the throne…?

It might sound wicked and selfish but this was still extremely important to her. This is politics…

She just can’t put her one hundred percent trust on some verbal promise that was older than her great-grandparents! With the clans becoming, even more, influential – such thing can’t be trusted anymore.

Law is immaterial, Promise is not living – Only humans are alive and changing!

– Of course, she would only hold those thoughts inwardly and would never let them out. She can’t let anyone know that she doesn’t trust the great Clans or else it would bring a catastrophe!

Besides, she can help her kingdom stronger and at the same time lead Rain back to his family… wasn’t that the best outcome? Two birds with one stone?

Thus, Princess Leticia wouldn’t leave Rain here alone.

She would certainly bring him away to meet his real family.

“At least, in here, we would never betray him nor hurt him.”

“… We can shower him our love… besides, Rain doesn’t mind – no, he likes being with us. He prefers living with us…” Zarda slither closer until she arrives in front of Princess Leticia.

Doram and the others tried to block her but Princess Leticia stops them. She stared at Zarda, face to face.

Neither of them backed down.

“He doesn’t hate our kind, he doesn’t despise our race.” Zarda paused for a moment then her gaze softened and brilliant smile suffused on her face. “Besides, I had already decided it. He will become my husband… the father of the tribe!” She declared.

Hearing Zarda’s words and declaration, the princess charming body violently trembled, and her complexion also became ghastly pale. Then slightly opening her pink lips, she roared, “Are you insane!? We can’t let that happen!!”

It should be alright if Rain was an ordinary man. If he is, then his life would be of no issue. Whatever he wanted, he can do it without any people caring at all.

However, he was from the great clan! And most of all, if Princess Leticia was correct of her assumption of Rain’s real identity then he would be a member of the direct family. And most of all, he is one of the candidates to become the Clan’s heir.

Right now, in this world, other than the Demon Army, many tribes of Monster Race had also started their rampage causing for their reputation to plummet even deeper. Probably, it was as deep as Marianna Trench!

And so, Princess Leticia would never allow Rain to marry a member of the Monster Race. It would be a bad example for the public and also in a worst-case scenario, the power of the Aquarian Clan might be divided into a messy situation.

Such thing is not allowed to happen, especially in this warring state!

“And what right do you have to stop us, ey princess…?” Zarda said sardonically.

“Have you not heard about the war? The Kingdom wouldn’t allow a human to marry a monster – he will be persecuted if you stubbornly do it!” Princess Leticia glared hatefully.

“So what? Your war has nothing to do with us… isn’t that the reason why we started living here in the first place? Away from any kind of influence…” Zarda replied in a matter-of-fact tone.

“Humans, Monsters, Demons… we never cared about it. And like hell, we will push Rain in that kind of problem!”

“We are already living here peacefully, human princess. If you tried destroying that peace, I will certainly not forgive you!” Zarda waved his arm and an icicle materializes and gradually turned into a silver color ice spear.

As the two women were starting to heat up, at this moment, a voice resounded in the entire room.

It was from Alba who was just watching the play up until now, “All of you are so serious and yet all of you are talking about the same person; my son.”

She started walking towards the two women, stopping in front of them, “However, no matter what you wanted to say, what my son wanted to do, neither of you can order him.”

“No one can stop him… either you, (pointing her paw at Princess Leticia ) and you, ( now to Zarda ) if not, I won’t have a choice but to make my move.”

Princess Leticia looked at Zarda who had a smile yet not a smile expression, and gritting her teeth, she said: “I also won’t give up. Even if I tried to forget Rain’s existence and kept silent about it but, I am not the only one here. A person is bound to reveal this truth later on, whether I like it or not. And if that happens, Rain’s life would be targeted…”

… Not only that, the Aquarian Clan will also suffer a serious blow and in an off chance something happened, the Aquarian Clan and the Royal throne’s relationship would certainly be affected…

Princess Leticia gritted her teeth in frustration. Was her finding Rain, a fortune… or a misfortune…?

Should she have left Rain that time and ignored him…?

However, Rain’s real(?) parents are one of the most influential people inside the clan, thus, they would certainly do everything to get him back… and this again would escalate the problem…

Hearing Leticia’s words, Zarda only responded with a smile. “Are you really saying that to us… princess?”

As he said that, her murderous intention was no longer able to be contained within her eyes.

Princess Leticia glared at Zarda before she turned around and left. Doram, Garas, Celia, and Celis followed as well but before casting a complicated expression towards the Zarda and the others.

They are actually willing to go this far just for a single… human?

Just what did Rain do for them…?
