《Rain Revert》Chapter 41: [ Aquarian Clan ]

He was showered with a barrage of inquisitive looks but he decided to ignore them. he wasn’t all fond of crowds.
Still, this is a forest, Rain says to himself as he looks at the dim canopy above, trying not to catch the eyes of anyone else.
The leaves and branches create a kind of dome canopy over people’s heads, creating a natural shelter.
However, sunlight flashes through the openings.
Ah! Oh, Mr. Sun, Sun, Mr. Golden Sun -Just where the heck did you hide all this time? As he stared at the blindly shining sun, Rain almost wanted to dance and sing Mr. Sun in happiness. He was really happy to finally see the sun again.
It feels warm on his face. To top it all off, he thinks he can see blue through the leaves. Damn! He wanted to tear up!
As Rain was going sentimental of his reunion with the old friend Sun, the music stopped and the one who was playing turned her head and looked at Rain. She has blond hair and captivating green colored eyes.
“You’re awake,” She said, her voice soft as the willow swaying.
“I am,” Rain smiled faintly. His face still pale but he was radiating a calm and amiable presence. “Are you the one who saves me? Thank you,”
He asked but the girl actually shook her head in response. “You should give your thanks to the princess. She was the one who had saved you,”
“Princess?” Rain bewildered. So he was actually saved by a royalty? Now talk about luck.
“Yes, the first princess of the Delouria Kingdom, known as the war princess of the North, Her highness Leticia Persil Louridia,” She spoke with much derision on her voice that Rain can’t help but realized, she was a fangirl…
She must have idolized her quite a lot…
“Is, is that so… hm, please let me give my gratitude to her highness then,”
“Then, I will receive that gratitude from the bottom of my heart, Child of the Aquarian…” A dignified voice reaches his ears.
Sure, Rain wasn’t expecting anyone to speak up, but it was what she called him that makes his heart skip a beat.

Child of the Aquarian…? What the heck is that?
Rain quickly spins around to face the owner of the voice and saw a beautiful woman, almost comparable to Lafetti, staring at him.
She was clad entirely in plate armor with a greatsword behind her back that was clanking resoundingly with her armor whenever she walks.
A beautiful woman with a long mane of gold hair, demurely cascading down her shoulders, creamy skin, blue sapphires for eyes, and standing over 2 meters tall. She was unblinkingly staring at him, full of wonder and curiosity.
“…Are you all right?”
Her eyebrows furrow in concern as she speaks with that beautiful voice. She constantly stared at him with her deep blue eyes, the same color as a lake.
“I am… thank you for saving me,” Although Rain was confused but he wouldn’t be befuddled as to forget his manners. Right now, he’s doing his best to force a smile -a business smile, in fact,~
No, it’s not just her. Rain’s gaze went past her and went to the two incredibly strong looking people wearing flashy looking armors behind each of her shoulders.
They’re strong… Rain felt instinctive. They must be high-level humans…
Rain knows that he had become quite a fine warrior himself. But looking at these three—no, not only these three but most of the people here, including the girl who was playing the flure— there’s no doubt they are in a league of their own, far above him.
Rain did his best to express his gratitude as his body slightly leaned down.
“Don’t be so tense, take it easy. We’re all nobles of the same kingdom here, aren’t we? It’s at times like these that we have to help each other out,” says the princess as she stretches her shoulders. “Though, I’m really curious as to what you’re doing inside the lair…”
Nobles? What do you mean by he was a noble?
Rain kept silent as he didn’t want to say anything about Lafetti or the Lamia tribe. He didn’t know anything about this world yet, however, he could guess that humans and monsters have a not so good relationship. Thus, he can’t possibly say anything about them…

“However, I have seen most of the people of the Aquarian Clan, why I haven’t seen someone like you before? May I know your name?” The princess tilted her head in curiosity.
“Aquarian? Please forgive my rudeness; I haven’t any clue as to what you are saying. I don’t know what this Aquarian thing is,” Rain said respectfully. They might have mistaken for someone. “I think you have mistaken me for someone.”
Rain’s words startled the others, even including the princess. “What?!” Her eyes widened in shock.
“How is that possible?” She’s not blinking at all. Her stare is rather intimidating. “You mean you’re not from the Aquarian Clan…?”
Rain shook her head.
“No, I can’t be wrong…” But she denied Rain’s claim. She stays like that for a moment before twisting her body like she’s trying to get a look at his back. “The mark on your back is the proof of that!”
Mark? “What mark?” Rain frowned. Is she talking about that? “Are you talking about the birthmark on the right side of my back?”
Ever since he was a child, Rain had known about it. On his back was a black birthmark, like an engraved tattoo.
It was the size of the palm and if one looks closely, it looked like 2 parallel horizontal zigzag lines or ripples of water ( ♒ ).
Rain didn’t even know about his real birthday nor what it was…
“That’s right. I can’t be mistaken, that is the mark of the true blood of the Aquarian Clan…” The princess said ascertain of her guess.
“But I am not,”
“I can’t be mistaken…” The princess pondered for a bit and then said, “Probably a lost child. Or what, do you say that you can’t remember anything in your childhood… then do tell me, where you hailed from and who your parents are?”
Rain frowned. Should he say he was from another world? Idiocy! His mind is racing. He was certain that she had just mistaken him for someone else and the birthmark on his back was nothing but a coincidence.
Besides, even if he really was an orphan, not knowing where he came from, he was from another world – of course, it would be a different issue if there’s a power that could transport him from here to another world, but that happening is like almost nigh impossible.
There’s no such dramatic situation –right?
Rain open and close his mouth, trying to speak, but nothing comes out. On his third or fourth attempt, words finally emerge. “I can’t remember anything…” He lied. “The moment I woke up I was already in the lair, not knowing who I am or remembering anything…”
He didn’t know what this lie would become but … at least for now, it would probably give him advantages.
The princess nodded her head, satisfied. She was certain that her assumption wasn’t wrong. Rain was from the Aquarian Clan… and this fact already proves his status, thus, them saving him was in fact, just deserve!
“Then, why don’t we sit for a while and chat… you probably have many questions you want to be answered.” The princess said as she turned around and started walking towards the inside of the tent where Rain woke up from before.
Rain could only stare at the princess back along with the two people, probably her guards. Although he was extremely curious about these Aquarian Clan but… right now, his top priority was to get back. He couldn’t imagine Lafetti’s state right now after his capture…
Instead of following the princess immediately, he turned around. He stared at the girl playing the flute a while ago and found out that she was also staring at him. “Your music is wonderful,” he said with a smile before finally following inside the tent.
The girl’s eyes widened for a moment before her lips curled in amusement. “I was skeptical at first as I haven’t seen someone like him in that clan… but now, I felt like he was indeed one of them…”
“But who…? Is he a love child?”
The girl was curious as she stared at Rain’s back. After thinking for a moment, she followed.
