《Rain Revert》Chapter 31: [ Rain real Magic Element ]

1, 2, 3, 4, 5… appeared one after another.
Zarda slithered over and counted the black spots… until 46, there were 46 black spots in total… quite a lot…
Indeed, Zarda’s suspicions were proven true.
For Rain to have reach E rank in his age was already quite praiseworthy among humans and this would only happen if he came from a wealthy family since he would have many resources he could use to increase his mana.
E ranked level Mana Quantity almost halfway to D-rank.
In additional information, Zarda, Drova, Stagna, and Lafetti were Lv3 while other warriors are at the average level of 4 and 5. Drova, Stagna, and Lafetti have their mana at B rank while Zarda was the highest, at A-level.
Since they were originally monsters gifted in magic, this was natural. Mana for them was like breathing air…
But the only confusing part was Rain’s Affinity… just what element was that? It looked lightning but instead of golden yellow, it was pale blue in color.
When Rain opened his eyes, the Magic Stone had reverted to normal.
“So,?” Rain tried to ask, anxious and nervous. This was like a feeling when you passed your test paper and then waiting for the result…
Zarda give Rain an ambiguous smile, “The results were excellent dear,” She started.
“Once again, but this time don’t close your eyes. I think you can already do that…”
Rain nodded and then once again his mind was filled with flowing rivers.
As expected, the Magic Stone reacted. Bluish sparks once again appeared, “Electricity?” Rain muttered out loud.
Was his Magic affinity, Lightning?
“Rain, Congratulations you are now officially a mage…” Zarda said as she took back the Magic Stone from his hand.
“Though it seems a bit confusing but it looks like you’re a Lightning Mage…” She happily announced.
Zarda’s words made Rain extremely excited. Although he only possesses one element but it’s better than none…
“Now then, to use magic, you need to control the mana and release it inside of you…” Zarda started explaining as her hand suddenly lit up and small icicles started forming at the top of her palm.
“Just like breathing air, mana that entered your body circulates inside of you.”
“… …”
“Grasp that flow and gather it to a point…" Zarda paused for a moment then said, "In simple terms, think about a jar, a cup, any vessels you could think of, that presents your body and the water inside represent your mana. Focus on it, and think as if you’re scooping a small amount, just a drop will be fine…”

Rain listened to Zarda’s explanation and did what he was told. Gradually, Rain’s hand began emitting a pale bluish-white light… like a luminescence; his hand started shining in a pale blue light.
Seeing Rain’s success, Zarda couldn’t help but nodded her head. As expected, Rain had done magic before…
He had succeeded in his first attempt… if this was his first time, it would be unbelievable.
This stage was quite difficult for those who had just started stepping into the world of magic.
Normally, one would take more time to be able to do it; after all, it takes the user to have a very high concentration and focus.
One needed to make the image inside their mind to be more vivid and clear to be able to grasp the flow of mana…
Lamias like Zarda can do it only two or three times to be able to muster it since they are unlike human beings, they are gifted on magic since birth. They have a high perception of mana ever since they were born thus, for them, it’s just like learning how to breathe.
But a human being was not like that. Especially a human’s mind was not one mind track type mindset.
It was quite difficult to form an image without any obstruction or interruption – it needs skills and experience to get used to it.
However, Rain had only taken one attempt to grasp it. Whether he was extremely gifted in Magic, a natural born magician so to speak or he had done it many times before until it became natural for him to do it to the point that even without memories, he can do it as a reflex.
Zarda didn’t believe at the former since even if he was a genius, there are still some limits, you know and so, the latter has the best possible since it was backed up by some evidence. Memory loss and Incredible amount of Mana quantity.
“Let’s move on… the second stage to use magic is that you need to think of the spell you wanted to make.”
“Form an image while releasing the mana, an image that you wanted to make. It’s something like a key when you’re using magic."
"Like simple fireballs, a fire mage forms a ball of fire inside his/her mind to use it. Since you are a Lightning Element, use lightning as the base of your image …”
“Normal Mages uses incantations to focus their minds on the image they wanted to make… though humans had practice this wrong method for a long time already, after all, you can still use magic without incantation, albeit a bit difficult. But with enough practice, you can do it…"

"However, humans passed their incantations to their descendants, making them follow it and now, it became the common practice… same chants, same verse, same incantations, the same way in using magic… without any originality…”
Rain started imagining… the form of electricity inside his mind.
Of course, since he was a Lightning mage, he thought about electricity or he had seen on Television.
In a blink of an eye, his hand started releasing sparks similar to arc fusion blades.
When rain opened his eyes, he was dumbfounded to see his hand enveloped by pale bluish-white sparks that almost made his hand looked like an electrode.
“Whoa!! I did it!!” Rain cried out with joy.
“L, look I can use magic!!” He was extremely excited like a small child visiting Disneyland for the first time.
Zarda nodded her head happily at Rain’s success and even Lafetti and the others started clapping their hands causing Rain to be embarrassed.
... ...
... ...
Starting that day, Rain began his training to use magic.
In the morning when he finished his chores in the Sarete’s Herb Garden, Rain would start his sword training from Lafetti and Magic from Zarda.
He was extremely busy but he still played with Starl and the other children.
Rain’s training was arduous but he never wined nor complaint. Lafetti and sometimes the other Lamias would join and give him some advice and suggestions to better move his body.
Rain felt that it has been a long time since he started his arduous training and the effects of his actions are finally showing itself.
Not just his physical abilities which have definitely increased, right now, in terms of using a sword, he would already be ranked as a master swordsman. With his steadily growing stats, his speed, power, dexterity, all of them were heavens apart from his original status when he just arrived in this world.
At this point in time, Rain had somehow become the tribe’s dear. All the Lamia’s treated him extremely nice, which Rain never expected. When he was walking alone, Rain would be called out by every Lamia he encountered and chat, giving him food and things he might need such as a piece of cloth that can be used to be a blanket or other things.
And one most important thing that Rain had noticed was that all the Lamia liked to touch him and be clingy like being hugged for whatever reason like greetings and holding his hand when they were walking.
Naturally Rain didn’t care about it; in any case, all the actions were not overboard.
Rain doesn’t only learn magic and sword since he had reached the threshold of his sword skills as Lafetti had said that she had already taught him everything she knows, Rain also started learning Bows and Spear from other Lamias.
Lafetti wanted to teach him herself but, according to her, there were more Lamias who are stronger than her in terms of Bow and spearmanship.
Crackle! Bluish sparks danced around Rain’s fingers as he practiced invoking magic. Currently, he was with Zarda who just because Lafetti and the others went hunting, became clingy, hugging him while teaching him how to control his mana efficiently.
Right now, Rain could use several magic – though most were centered in crowd control and stunning enemies.
Teaser, Electric Web, Electric touch, he can release powerful electricity that can immobilize enemies when hit.
However, what he realized was that his electric attack was still insufficient to kill.
It can stun them but only for a short moment – of course, if he managed to touch the heart position or the head of the enemy and release strong electricity as he could, he might be able to kill them.
Unfortunately, the monsters in this lair were extremely powerful with toughness and durability almost as tough as steel so his electric power was still lacking.
