NOTE: A lot of you seemed concerned that I will be implementing NTR elements, even though it is slightly spoilerish to say this I will fiddle with the edges of NTR like in the Abduction Arc but I will never under any circumstance fully implement NTR. (Can't deal with reading about it nor even writing about it LOL)
Chapter Twenty Seven - Beating of Hearts

“Rahhh!” my sister screamed as she plopped down on our bed. She screamed into her pillow letting out her pent up frustration.
I wanted to console her, but I didn’t know what to say. She had been in the wrong and the boy was clearly stronger than either of us.
After a moment Sora stopped and sat up turning towards me, I sat on the corner of the bed, as she crawled over to me and rested her head on my shoulder.
“Do you think momma will be mad?” she asked leaning her body against mine. Her weight was too much so I ended up on my back with my sister now resting her head on my chest.
“Maybe,” I replied stroking her hair.
“Muuuh,” she sniffed. “You’re supposed to make me feel better.”
“At least it was a prince who conquered you,” I sympathized.
By law any woman of the amazon tribe must submit to the first male capable of defeating her in combat, while it had not been in combat per se, Sora had been completely overwhelmed. His aura had been so oppressive that I had not been able to move at all as he manhandled her, even now my heart raced a little as I remembered the strength the boy had displayed.
Sora was bound to him now, the tribe would have to be informed, mostly so that any mate wishing to court her would have to best her current suitor. The biggest problem of all this was the fact that it was a boy, not a man, could he even make seed yet?
--- ---
The next day I wrote a letter to mother, it would take at least two weeks to reach her, hopefully she will not be completely mad. Sora’s suitor was after all the prince of a very powerful country, the only to rival Bulbaria’s military and economic might. Boraian prince Leo, there were dozens of rumors about him and his strength, of his rampage throughout the very opposing nation. His actions had almost caused a war.

It was strange how he did not appear so, regal.
There was a sharp look about him, his eyes were hard and cold, his black hair was wild and uncombed yet it nestled perfectly on his head giving him a wild look. His body was stocky, not lean or muscularly toned, he was blocky but every movement he had made that day carried impossible strength.
There was an air of maturity and wisdom to him, he had not felt like a child, he had felt like a wise and ruthless man. It was strange to think of him like that, after all he probably still had not yet hit puberty.

“We shouldn’t be out here,” my friend looked towards me, fright clear across his face.
We had snuck out of the dorms and were on our way towards the girl’s dorm, a friend of mine got us invited over to a secret festive night. There would be drinks! Unfortunately getting there was the problem, our dorm was in a deeper pocket town that was transformed into an all boy’s dorm, it would take at least an hour of hard walking to reach the girl’s dorm. Thankfully the lower pockets are connected by a countless number of tunnels and passageways, getting past the academy patrols was not hard.
We made our way through a particularly wide and empty tunnel. As we reached its end I noticed a red glow just around the corner.
“Hey did you see that?” my friend asked pointing in the direction of the glow.
“Yeah,” I nodded. “Someone is casting magic?”
We hurried our step in case we missed an illegal duel between students.
As we rounded the corner I immediately regretted my decision to rush forward.
There a creature stood, it was made of black bones, ashes, and magma. It was crocodilian but it had no back legs, its only two pair of legs sprouted from the middle. These limbs were larger than normal. It looked like a crossbreed between a frog and crocodile. In one fell swoop it was among us, its tail end piercing my friend through his chest, as its maw moved to take hold of my head I knew then that I was dead.
I barely had time to register the crushing of my skull as its jaws clamped shut.

“I’m sorry Papi,” she apologized again noticing that I was reading a letter from the amazons.
After the fiasco just yesterday a messenger came knocking on my door step, we were in the residential zones using one of the luxury homes as our own, one of my many perks of being royalty. The messenger carried a letter from the amazon twins, the one I had attacked was asking to meet with me.
“It wasn’t your fault,” I said after a moment. I read the location she wanted to meet and memorized it. “Stay here, I will be going out for a bit.”
“B..but,” she looked worried.
“It won’t take long,” I promised. “Besides we haven’t unpacked anything, if you can have the workshop up and running by the time I return I’ll take you to the surface, the market is supposed to be very wondrous here.”
“Ok,” she nodded, half enthusiastically.
“Thank you little one,” I said getting up and kissed her forehead. Her little flustered reaction always makes me smile.
Enough teasing, I had things to do.
--- ---
“You must be Sora,” I said finding one of the twins near the fountain central to the gardens of this pocket town.
She was tall, taller than me by a head and a half, her brown hair hung loosely all the way down slightly past her waist and flowed like reeds in the wind. Her eyes were a stormy hazel, they were rebellious and prideful eyes. Her bronze skin was smooth wherever her dress that came up slightly above her knees did not cover.
Her body was made lean through constant exercise and training, her arms and legs were slightly muscularly toned, not enough to rob her of her femininity.
She nodded her head.
“What did you call me out here for?” I asked.
I noticed the bruises on her neck where my hand had roughly gripped her throat, her hand gently glided across one side.
“Do you know Amazonian law?” she asked.
“I am not familiar with it,” I confessed.
“Uhm,” the girl blushed looking away. The gesture puzzled me, whut? Everything I knew about amazons was from another world, if they were in any way similar this might turn out to be…
“I was defeated b…by you,” she explained walking towards me until she was only a couple of paces away. “By Amazonian law I must have you as my mate a…and bare your child!”
The last she said covering her face, my sensitivity to mana allowed me to feel just how hot her face had become, I was slightly worried she might spontaneously combust.
Strangely enough I was not bothered by her request, I should have gotten equally embarrassed or displayed some sort of strong emotion, but I felt nothing. It was like receiving a gift and feeling only a sense of “yeah, so now where would I place this?”
“And if I were to refuse?” I asked out of curiosity.
“You can’t!” she snapped her head up out of her hands and looked me in the eye intensely. There was some panic in her eyes.
I figured as much, refusing her would probably lower her standing among the women of her tribe, which were in fact the ruling party, and as a princess of her tribe dropping her status could potentially be considered a political incident. There would be strained relations between Boraia and the Amazon, not that we have any relations to speak of.
“Then can you wait?” I asked then motioned towards my own body. “Unfortunately I have not reached the physical state where I can even take responsibility.”
The girl nodded then furrowed her brows.
“My mother will be coming here within the turn of a moon,” she said. “Will you display your might before her? She will want to…”
She didn’t finish her sentence, probably because she didn’t know what to say. I was a boy after all, and I had felt her oppressive force yesterday when I had her by the throat, she had been naturally suppressing some of my strength, thankfully my own strength was boundless. Her natural Amazonian magic had been useless against me, it was probably a deciding factor in many of her people’s battles. She had to be able to demonstrate to her mother that I was not just a child and that I had rightfully defeated her daughter.
“I understand,” I nodded my head then knelt and placed my hand on the ground pouring a massive amount of mana into the earth at my feet.

The sickly man's awkward posture and cruel behavior have been replaced with a neat dignity and acerbic wit. His listless life has found a path of undeniable purpose. Most come away thinking he seems to know too many details about too much. Few can claim to know his motives or his goals. This is his tale. #####What to expect from this story##### This piece is a high-fantasy style story, featuring many of the species and surroundings one might expect to find in such a world. The cultures are original and well-developed, with the primary setting being a European-style feudal society. Warfare, fell beasts, and natural disasters are commonplace in Berendar, and take the center of many plots. The protagonist is a smooth-talker, but the world does not exist for him; he must struggle to gain power. Expect daily releases until we catch up to my backlog.
