《Reincarnation》Chapter 15

-Ria POV 3rd person POV –
Ria proceeded to launch herself forward after taunting the dark knight. Her fist was immediately surrounded with fire and the target of her punch was the helmet of the dark knight. The knight immediately responded by lifting his blade to block the blow. Ria didn’t stop proceeding to swing her feet towards his arm holding the blade. The knight easily evaded the blow but the path her feet had swung turned into a blade of air launching itself towards it. It swung its blade releasing a black coloured shock wave breaking through the air wave created by ria. Ria was however already behind the knight and proceeded to grabbed the knight gauntlet. Planting her feet firmly into the ground she used her full strength and threw the knight to the entrance.
The knight smashed through the wall blocking the entrance smashing into the wall on the other side. Ria didn’t stop her relentless assault as she blasted forwards using her claws scratched the air releasing blades made of air towards the knight. By then the knight had already recovered and it easily destroy the blades with a single swing of its sword. Ria tail transformed into its partial dragon state as she went into close combat against the knight. The knights blade couldn’t penetrate her scales and her claws couldn’t break through the armor worn by the knight.
The longer their fight went on the more their surrounding got destroyed. Their blows were evenly matched and no matter how much elemental attacks ria threw towards the knight it had close to no effect. At some point Ria started to recklessly blast huge amounts of fire turning their battle ground into a sea of fire. Their battle wasn’t confined into a single area since whenever their blows connected perfectly one of the two would be sent flying.
Their fight had reached deep into the 3rd floor of the dungeon, any monster that was close to the fight instantly died merely from the shockwaves caused by their exchange of blows. The ground rumbled almost like a miniature earthquake whenever one of them collided towards the surface. Ria could hear the screams from adventurers on the 3rd floor but the situation didn’t allow her to let her guard down as the dark knight was slowly proving to be the strongest thing she had ever faced.

Ria horns started to grow out as well as she mercilessly tried to destroy the knight which was releasing shockwaves of dark energy with every single one of its swings. The shockwaves released easily sliced a huge chunk of the walls or grounds of the caves it had landed on. If it connected and hit Ria she would be sent flying smashing into a wall. It was however insufficient in strength to break through her scales. In ria case she released a torrential amount of fire with every swing of her claws or feet, scorching the area.
Both Ria and the knight seem barely tired as they continued to duke it out. The ceiling of the dungeon started to rain down around them. Ria didn’t allow her opponent a single moment of rest continuously dishing out attack after attack. If one saw their fight they would perhaps mistaken ria as the monster and the dark knight as the hero saving them, since ria was currently somewhat like a miniature dragon if one saw her from a distance. Since pretty much her entire body has partially dragon formed excluding her head.
Neither had the upperhand as the battle continued to rage on. Ria was as of now flying and the knight could somehow stay airborne even without any wings. At some point ria was launched upwards breaking through the ceiling. Therefore their battle had changed location to the 2nd floor of the dungeon.
-Random town person POV-
I could feel tremors occurring. The tremors continued happening at random intervals causing quite a bit of panic among the towns people. The only thing stopping the situation from getting worse was a few people from the military that came to our town recently. They were helping to evacuate the town because of the tremors. They seemed to have been sent here on a mission of some sort. It was most likely about the daema problems we had been having recently that had already been solved by the B rank adventurers that came to our town recently. The evacuation was going smoothly initially until adventurers started to pour out of our town dungeon in panic. Apparently the cause of the tremor was caused by our town dungeon suddenly caving in.
-Alex(military person) POV-

I was initially sent to the town due to reports of daema attacking the town. Upon my arrival the problem seemed to have been taken care of by a group of gold rank adventurer. Myself and my partner were B rank so it was to safe to assume they could handle the problem. As we were about to leave tremor started occurring within the town. Initially we ignored it until it reached a point severe enough for us to help evacuate the town.
When we were around half done with the evacuation adventurers started to run away from the direction of the dungeon. I manage to catch one of the copper ranking one and got information that the dungeon was apparently collapsing. I ran towards the dungeon entrance with my partner to confirm the situation.
Upon arriving at the entrance the tremors got worst. By now most of the townspeople have left the area due to possible danger in the area. This was the first time I have ever heard of a dungeon collapsing if what that adventurer said is true I have to report this back to the higher ups.
Suddenly the ground in front of the dungeon started to have cracks forming in it. Several seconds after which a body blasted its way out of the ground. The entity that shot out of the ground wore some kind of black armour and wielded a giant sword. The knight used its sword to pierce the ground to stop rolling almost as if he was punched through the ground rather than broke through it.
My suspicions appeared to be true as a creature unlike any other I have ever seen flew out of the ground mere seconds after the knight. The creature looked humanoid yet it had wings and tails like a dragon and even had scales running through majority of its body. The weird thing was that despite how terrifying she appeared she looked beautiful. If she was human she would perhaps be comparable to a 16 year old. She wore an outfit made of fur of some sort so it obviously had intelligence. Her eyes a beautiful gold had it looked like one a reptile would have. Her long silver hair flowed out behind her.
After a while I broke out of the trance when she flew towards the knight slamming her entire body against his smashing through a wall. The area in which she flew to suddenly burst into a giant pillar of flames. Even from this distance I could feel the intense heat being radiated from the pillar of flames. As a matter of fact the mere shockwave form her colliding with the knight had cause myself and my partner flying away.
-Ria POV-
The longer the battle went on the more my body involuntarily transformed into its partial form. At some point I even grew bigger for some reason. The longer it went on the more intense the pain that was running through my body not caused by the knight rather, it was from staying in partial form for too long. It appears partial form doesn’t completely change one part of my body into its real form rather it force my demihuman form body to be able to gain access to my dragon powers. In my demihuman form I was somehow biologically more similar to a human than a dragon. The strain felt from prolonged combat such as this was intense as I could feel my body screaming in pain. It has to be several hours since our fight had started if it went on any longer I probably have to transform into my real form otherwise I fear I would permanently injure my current body.
At some point I don’t know how I fight had brought us back to town. Completely relying on my instinct rather than technique had caused me to lose track of my surroundings. It does appear there is no one here except for those two humans at the dungeon entrance beforehand. The worst part of the ordeal was the fact that the black knight in front of me showed no visible exhaustion as a matter of fact it seemed barely damaged. Isn’t this unfair having such a powerful monster in a apparently low level dungeon.
(Author Note) : Well i tried my best. If any part of the fight was written badly feel free to tell me i can rewrite it.
