《Reincarnation》Chapter 10

-Ria POV-
Several weeks after the incident with the daema I could finally see a town in the distance. If possible I would run ahead but they were currently out of the forest walking in a plain. If I were to run out to the town ahead of them I would be easily spotted. I somehow endured the excruciating wait. As soon as I saw their figures disappear into the town I got of the tree I was hiding in and ran to the town as fast I could go. To not look out of place when I entered I refrained from running and calmly walked into the town with my eyes glancing at around at the buildings and various human walking around the streets.
The sights didn’t disappoint my expectations in the slightest. I looked around in awe to the surroundings. After the initial surprise I noticed there were several eyes looking at me. Perhaps its because of my tail and ears which seem to stick out like a sore thumb in a place filled with humans. They didn’t approach me however so I assume there are species that look like this. I made a mental note to find out what species I looked like currently and walked further into the town taking in the new sights that greeted me.
To avoid the attention I seem to be drawing towards myself especially by males for reason I can’t comprehend, I went into a narrow alley that no one walked into. I wanted to explore the town a little more but I feel uncomfortable with all the gazes that were focused on me. With that in mind I needed a way to conceal my appearance for the sake of a peaceful exploration. A cloak of some sort would work but I didn’t have anyway to obtain anything in the town due to lacking any coins that seem to be used to trade for goods from the various shops in the streets.
The alley seem to be much larger than I expected as I continued walking for a while. Eventually I reached a wall that left me no choice but to go back the same way.
“Hey little girl are you lost?” A guy accompanied by 2 others walked towards me as I turned around to go back.
The guy who said it seemed rather slim and he wore leather armor similar to one of the humans I followed to reach the town. His though seems to be of much lower quality and on both side of his armor were two ordinary dagger. They seem rather normal unlike the ones used by the rogue. The other two following him were rather huge and bulky. They were however wearing rather ordinary clothing similar to most of the humans in the town they did have two large cloak covering them. They weren’t any weapons on the other two men.

“Are you lost I can bring you back to town. Just trust this uncle ok. Follow me I can help you.” The slim man said it with a rather suspicious grin on his face. I doubt he could be trusted so I politely declined and walked pass them. As I continued walking I could hear the men whispering something and heard footsteps approaching me form behind. I felt the wind fluctuating a little as the sound of a fist being swung could be heard. I moved my head to the side to avoid the blow, quickly turning around to see have a clearer view of what was going on.
What greeted me was one of the bulky man close to me and the slim man had a collar like object in his grasp. “Be a good little girl now and don’t resist. Trust me it will be a lot easier if you just listen obediently. A lot less painful.” The man said with a rather twisted smile plastered on his face. I felt immense disgust to the humans that seemed to be attempting to capture me. Did they discover that I’m a dragon if so I would have to dispose of them to keep my identity a secret. Just to be safe before committing the act of killing them I asked “What reason is there to capture me? I have done no wrong deserving of such cruel act.”
“Well you are such a cute little thing aren’t you. Such ignorance to how this world works. Cute little naïve girls like you sell really well nothing else matters really.” The slim man said with his face full of composure. At the very least I know that this isn’t related to my identity as a dragon. Cutting of my train of thoughts the man continued with “So shall we do this the easy way or must you make us uncles make you sleep for a while.” My anger towards these humans has reached its peak and rather than answer I kicked the man in front of me with full strength my current body could muster.
The man I kicked went flying all the way towards the slim man. He gracefully dodged the man body which crashed into the wall creating cracks on the previously flawless looking wall. The composure on the man face was replaced with a look of shock. I smiled towards them with a cute innocent looking smile while saying” You should really pick your prey better uncles, or rather after I’m done with you don’t have to worry about finding prey anymore.” My previous smiling face disappeared as I used my feet to launch myself towards the other bulky guy delivering a blow to his cheek knocking him face first into the ground. After which I kicked him in the stomach flying directly into my first victim. All that was left was the slim guy who drew both his weapons now with a nervous smile on his face.

He looked like he wanted to say something but I didn’t gave him the chance to as I launched myself towards the man. His reaction speed was faster than I expected. His dagger accurately aimed towards my fist that was spiraling towards his abdomen. To stop the dagger I coated my fist with wind and easily broke his weapon and punched his abdomen with no mercy. The punch was followed by a kick to his abdomen. The men flew to the other two bodies crashing into both of them. All three had lost conscious by now. I wasn’t sure if I had done enough and contemplated whether I should injure them a little more to teach them a lesson.
The thought went away when I realize my problem was solved. I could take the cloak one of the men was wearing to hide my appearance. Since they solved my problem I decided to spare them anymore pain as I easily took the cloak off one of the bulky guy body. I cut a huge section of the bottom cloak to prevent the excessively long cloak from dragging on the ground with every step I took. I wore the cloak and pulled the hood up to cover my face. The hood unfortunately was much too big as well, covering my eyes completely. I transformed my eyes to allow at least a little visibility through the cloak.
As I walked out of the alley happy with my new cloak I realized a rather huge problem with the limitations I had placed on myself. If there was a situation where I had to fight a human several times stronger than my current form I would be unable to beat them without resorting to using partial dragon form. The humans earlier were much too weak and were easy to overpower simply with the overwhelming difference in our strength. Perhaps I should start thinking of a way to defend myself which I could use to increase my chances of victory in my current form.
As I mulled over the thought of a method i could use to fight in combat against any humans that could possibly be a threat to my current form,I noticed the group of humans I stalked to the town entering a huge building. The building looked rather impressive if I compared it to the other buildings in the town. Curiosity once again got a hold on me as I followed suite and entered the building in question.
The scene that greeted me was humans everywhere some sitting on tables drinking others at the counter talking. There was a bulletin boards with pieces of paper stuck onto it. The most impressive part was the fact that every single person here were armed with a weapon of some sort. As I stared at the surrounding in awe I heard a voice that seemed to be directed towards me. I looked at the origin of the voice and to my surprise it was the warrior that was part of the group I was stalking.
“Hey kid you lost of something? Where are you’re parents?” He said as he looked at me with some concern showing in his eyes.
