《The Chaos Immortal》Chapter 1 - First Encounter

An unknown planet, in an unexplored star system of a human occupied galaxy in the 23rd sector. This was a large planet surrounded by large amounts of asteroid fields. The majority of the planet’s surface consisted of water.
On the largest continent of the planet, there was a vast forest that took up the northern half of the land mass. Somewhere within the forest, the chaos beast that had just arrived looked around to observe the fresh and new environment.
It could see that the plants and trees were filled with a powerful life force. ‘Hmm, there seems to be a mutated form of the energy of the universe.’
The chaos beast thought as it discovered that some plants and flowers had almost gained spiritual intelligence as they attempted to hide from the unknown presence.
The chaos beast started walking in a particular direction as it had sensed the presence of a lifeform. After a few miles, it saw a tree that stood taller than the surrounding woods. On top of the tree was a huge four-limbed hairy creature that had its eyes closed, seemingly sleeping under the sun. The chaos beast detected that the creature seemed to be absorbing a type of energy from the sunlight.
The creature was known as a Sun Ape. It was a gentle and docile magical beast that would not attack unless provoked despite the fact that it cultivated Pure Yang Qi. The chaos beast examined its vast knowledge and discovered that the creature resembled a large monkey, or rather an ape.
However, this ape seemingly had an intelligence no inferior to any human. Therefore, the chaos beast attempted to communicate. As it was not aware of the language used locally, it had spoken into the mind of the ape as the meaning can be conveyed directly.

“Hello friend, would you be so kind as to give some directions towards the exit of this forest?”
The ape looked small human that had approached and wondered how it had arrived this deep into the forest. However, being a docile magical beast, and sensing no hostility from the small human, it didn’t think much and pointed towards a direction.
The chaos beast thanked the ape and walked in the pointed direction.
The chaos beast walked on for quite a while before it thought to see how much further towards exit was. A powerful divine sense was spread out in all directions. This went undetected from most of the powerful magical beasts in the forest. However, one being was able to discover this powerful divine sense.
The Gold Dragon was one of the most powerful beings on this planet and was the ruler as well as protector of the forest. He had sensed the chaos beast’s presence and had rapidly flown towards the direction.
The dragon did not know if he could defeat the intruder. However, he had to try as he was the protector of the forest.
The vast distance was covered in a blink of an eye as the large dragon neared the chaos beast who had stood on the spot in waiting after it had discovered the rapidly approaching large form.
The Gold Dragon stopped in mid-air not far away from the chaos beast. The chaos beast found that the dragon did not have wings and was floating using the mutated form of the energy of the universe. The chaos beast thought to try this out as it attempted to use the energy of the universe, which he called chaos power, to float up into the air.
The dragon looked at the strange human that flew up towards himself.

“Who are you?”
The chaos beast heard an unknown sound from the large form. It analysed this sound and compared the multitude of languages it had recorded from the universe.
“I’m just a traveller.” The chaos beast sounded a bit jerky as it was the first time speaking this language.
“How did you get here?”
The chaos beast thought for a while and decided to answer honestly as it had nothing to lose.
“I’m from outside this planet.”
The Gold Dragon was shocked as it went silent for a while. “So, the legends are true.” He muttered. The dragon then asked once more.
“What is your purpose coming here?” The dragon sensed that this human had no hostility and it had not harmed any of the magical beasts but he had to be cautious as a being that could travel through the void was unfathomably powerful.
“I guess I’m here to tour this world. This is the first planet I have come to. I sensed that there are many humans on this planet. I want to go and experience the human world.”
The dragon sighed inwardly in relief as the human did not seem to have ill intentions. ‘Hmm human world? Is he not a human?’ The dragon was curious but he kept those thoughts inside.
“How about you come to my home and stay for a bit. I could tell you a bit about this world before you resume your journey.” The dragon had done this in hope of giving knowledge in exchange for not causing a disaster in the human world. ‘If he went on a rampage, there’s no one that could stop him.’
The chaos beast thought this to be a good idea. Although it could survey the entire planet using Divine Sense, it was better to be told by a local. “Sure, I’ll take up your offer.”
The Gold Dragon transformed into a human form then said. “My home is this way. My name is Long Tian. How do I call you?”
The chaos beast thought the transformation was rather interesting however it could also transform into any shape so it quickly discarded the thought.
“I don’t have a name. Hmm, call me…Shen. Yes, Shen.” The chaos named itself while following the dragon.
The two humans yet not humans then flew towards the Gold Dragon’s home rapidly.

Life of a Core
After a disembodied voice had told him he was what amounted to an exceptionally talented rock, it had been hard to not let it go to his non-existent head. Until, random chance had decided to give him a square kick in the minerals. Which had in turn forced him to fend for himself in an unknown land, all while he attempted to make sense of his place in the world. Truthfully though, all he had really wanted to do from the start had been to bury himself a hundred feet below the ground and be left to his own devices. Yet, for one reason or another, nobody ever seemed willing to leave the dungeon-building core alone long enough to actually make one. Each chapter will average around two to three thousand words, the release schedule is still a WIP but you should expect the first six chapters to be released over the next six days. This is planned out as a dungeon building fiction, but don't expect it right off the bat! The story is a depiction of the everyday adventures (alongside an overarching plot) of what I imagine a dungeon core would experience when thrust into a random environment where everything and everyone tried to covet or eat him. I also really enjoy reading the comments and reviews people leave and would love to get some reader involvement with the story itself, likely through polls at the end of each chapter. I hope you enjoy my story! (If you feel like some of the characters seem familiar, you may have read some older work I wrote a while back under a different account. If you happen to be one of my old readers and recognize the similarities, I'm happy to have you back!)
