《Nomad Dungeon》Chapter 34 - Hunted

Why did it come to this?
We are being chased by a B-rank vampire, after mistaking her for an E-rank and trying to subdue her. My appraisal is always able to pick up clues even on powerful targets. However, who would imagine a B-rank disguising themselves as an E-rank and so perfectly that there were no clues from my search.
Because she was such a rare target, a Vampire that has never been seen or heard from for centuries. Thus Aran ordered David to secure her after his 'silent wind sickle' temporarily cripples her. I examined her from a closer distance and confirmed her possessions, surprising us about the fact that she is an artificial dungeon creator.
Aran had Jane a collector and a minor space magic user to examine it. Sure enough, even the collector had confirmed the credibility of it. Thinking if we tame and train her, we would be rich for life!
Mile's opted to train her personally while his twin Ethan continues being disgusted by his hobby, but it was James who warned us of the incoming danger, an enormous amount of mana appeared and converged onto her as she begins casting.
David failed to prevent it, I don't blame him since we of the C-rank can only affect a domain spell in casting phase 'if' we have something of the same, similar or against this class already in play.
We were cursed, the moment we ran away from that vampire we all noticed it immediately. I appraised myself to check my condition and found the curse. It is called the 'Forsaken Curse', other than its name I was unable to draw out any more information on it.
There are no churches nearby to cleanse ourselves of this curse. So we ran as fast as we can and along the way, everyone was throwing insults at me, just because my appraisal failed to properly evaluate the target.
We ran into a valley, we heard that this valley possesses confusing paths like a labyrinth hopefully that vampire will lose our trail in here.

We continue heading deeper into this valley. As we went deeper, it starts slowly getting foggy. This fog was very strange since it merely surrounds us but doesn't come that close but we have never been in this deep in this valley before so it must be a part of this valley, who knows maybe we might even stumble onto a lost treasure.
As uneasy as this fog feels, we have no other choice than to proceed forward to lose that Vampire. We even start encountering strange disfigured monsters, ones that only have a head and one arm but no torso. Ones with just one eye and staring at us whilst sticking to a tree.
Eyeless heads rolling across the floor, with distorted moans coming out of them. There were all kinds of these disfigured monsters here. We even though to escape but knowing that there is a B-rank behind us only forced us forward. As we proceed the team gets more and more stressed, and they take it out on me. Why!?
I hate it. Before we encountered that vampire all of you relied on me for determining the enemies strength now you all are like this.
Even as we proceeded forward the path becomes ever more confusing but these disfigured monsters continue appearing. I want this to be over like a nightmare but the reality isn't so kind. The unease we felt since we entered has only been getting stronger and stronger.
Almost as if answering our wishes, we finally see an end to this dense mist along with the decreasing number of those monsters. Just as we exit, we see 'it'. 'It' looks like all of the disfigured monsters from before is mashed-up without a care nor thought but something sinister was mixed in whilst radiating a horrifying distorted aura.
"...Wha? WHAT IN THE WORLD!!!?" ( Everyone )
We fail to fully comprehend its existence, even just looking at it is harmful to my mind... Like its very nature is to destroy reasoning and sanity. I immediately use appraisal to confirm what this monstrosity is

Just getting bits and pieces of information is only frightening me even further, like this thing's very existence is incomprehensible.
It disappears from our vision, and hear a dreadful sound come from behind me. I saw that both Ethen and James held by what seems to be a gory mesh of arms extending out from that thing. Both suspended in the air with their head severed from their body and held in another hand.
"...THE F*CK!?" ( David )
Its body opens up vertically showing a giant mouth. throwing the dead two into it. What in the world is this thing? Among all the records of monsters I've seen, nothing can compare to this monstrosity. As if it was literally pulled from a nightmare into the living world as a monster.
Aran gives the signal to run away as it chews on our two former companions, and we reluctantly run back into the mist.
Crap, crap, crap!
I was never designed for marathons, but now!?
"W, wait up!? Please slow down!! Don't leave me behind!!!" ( Ines )
Even as I pleaded, they don't listen. Only increasing their speed, as if using me as a sacrifice. It wasn't long before I collapsed from exhaustion, I could feel something crawling up from behind me. Turning my head to see it.
I see the familiar vampire by that monstrosity's side with a horrifying grin. Is this vampire controlling this 'it'? This thing that looks like the stuff out of nightmares!?
"...foood?..." ( ??? )
"Wait, this one is physically weak and only rudely appraised this one. Devour her corpse after I'm done." ( Vampire Girl )
"...aaaaw..." ( ??? )
"Then while you wait, eat this minotaur corpse. I got a little while ago and it should still be fresh." ( Vampire Girl )
An enormous minotaur is ejected from her shadow. For her to casually give a C-rank corpse for that thing to eat, just what is C-rank to her!?
"...yaaay..." ( ??? )
Just as this girl is distracted, I chant as fast as I can.
"[Burn - Burn - Burn - O majesty of fire - Descend and scorch the world with your unending rage - Inferno]" ( Ines )
"Hmph, its ok I guess. [Dispel]" ( Vampire Girl )
Just as my spell is in motion, the vampire makes it disappear before it could do anything. Casually dispelling spells like this may exist, it is unheard of.
The monstrosity feasts on it as the vampire girl gets closer to me. I have nowhere to run, I'm exhausted from running and this girl is superior to me in terms of magic, how can I even win!?
"You are a lucky girl. If you were not a virgin and have great magical potential then I would have you be eaten alive by my cute assistant over there and you would have only suffered before a slightly quick death." ( Vampire Girl )
Just because, I'm a virgin and have great magical potential, I'm lucky? Isn't your magical potential higher than mine!?
"Your blood will not only sate my urges but will also help this body of mine to grow and as such, I will continue drinking your blood until this body of mine is satisfied." ( Vampire Girl )
"!?" ( Ines )
I tried to move, but my body is locked in place. I then notice that her shadow is binding my body. I can't move, I can't even speak. I only see this girl slowly sink her teeth into my neck. No...I don't want to die yet!
Move, Move!, Move!!, MOVE!!!
"Your team is not capable of escaping, so they will be joining you soon but they will be suffering far more and will take some time so until then...Enjoy" ( Vampire Girl )
"!!!......" ( Ines )

Arc 2 is a lot of Kevin not knowing what to do, going with the flow, and not being articulate enough to know that he doesn't know what to do. 1.
