《Nomad Dungeon》Chapter 13 - Return & Redo

I carefully made my way back, careful of any presence.
I first looked for my dead eye bat.
If its corpse is still around, I should be able to revive it.
I easily found it, there was not a single injury to it.
How did it die!?
----
EXACTLY LIKE YOU SAID!!!!?
----
Nevermind, what do I need to do for this little one's revival?
----
I look in the treasure's section and found it immediately.
[World Tree Dew]
Use - Splash target with the Dew
Function - Revives beings of C-rank and below
Cost - 10,000 DP
"Exactly what I need, now please return to my side, eye-bat!"
After splashing the dew on to the corpse, it begins to glow in a soft light.
Soon the eye bat begins to open its eye again.
It looks at me and I understood what was before it.
My eyes begin tearing up, I felt joy and happiness just seeing one revive like this.
I cradled it in my arms, happy to see one of my children revived.
Maybe this was something all dungeon spirits felt.
"I don't care how pricey it is, I will revive my children"
After happily cuddling with the eye bat, I release it and begin new orders.
"I need to see if Oozer's corpse is still intact, please go scout the area."
After speaking these words eye bat flew up into the sky.
Oozer is gonna be Important after all if I want to suppress this copy slime.
I immediately connect my vision to my eye bat and see the remains of my Dungeon.
"Only rubble left"
Nothing but rubble, No signs of that Elf.
"There"
Despite all the rubble, I can tell which piece of rock is my earth slime corpse.
The unnatural shape of a rock, shaped in a way that looks to be for covering holes.

I head over there.
I thought the rubble might be a bit heavy for the current me, but I was wrong, even some of the heavier pieces of rock I can pick up with no problems.
As I was clearing away the rubble, eye bat lands and rests on my shoulder.
I purchase another dew and splash it over my dead Oozer.
Just like with eye bat, it glowed for a moment.
It first changed from its rocky constitution back to a vicious one.
I begin looking through the treasure section, and I found it.
"Philosopher Stone"
I can select the quantity of it, but just a single gram of this stuff already cost 10,000 DP.
"I can only pray that it works"
I purchase it and have Oozer consume it.
Oozer easily takes it into its body, but nothing happens.
"...Oozer, do you feel anything different?"
...
Nothing, no response.
"So it was useless"
----
I was hoping for a small evolution at least, Why?
----
Mr.Tutorial is getting harsher as well.
But 2 new abilities?
[Earth Slime] Base Form
-HP: Average
-MP: Minimal
-STR: Weak
-DEF: Average
-MAG: Minimal
-AGI: Minimal
-Innate Abilities: Restructure, Conceal
-Abilities: Compression, Expansion
mm?, Compression?, Expansion?
----
I wasn't expecting these two abilities to be a bit O.P. but this works in my favor.
I have Oozer compress itself to be the size of a pebble and carry it with me.
For eye bat...what should I do? It stands out a lot and not like I can hide it under these clothes.
----
----
Well, if that's what Mr.Tutorial says.
"Eye bat"
I change part of my body back into that of a slime and envelop eye bat.
"Please rest, for now, I need to be careful"
As if understanding me, it relaxes and as I told it, it starts to rest.
The eye bat disappears into my body, but I can feel it inside me.
The copy slime instincts didn't activate which is a good sign.
[Inventory]
- Eye Bat
Unexpectedly a new window popped up, but it confirms what that eye bat has been stored.
"Let's Go, I might have failed in my starting dungeon but next time will be different"

Fateful
Edgar Vogel was a 30 year old underemployed veteran who dropped out of college. His life was comfortable but all ambition was lost. His plans, born of depression and anxiety, were to simply live out his life of mediocrity and enjoy what little he could. That all changed, all it takes is something small to change fate, in his case ice. Reborn into a primitive but fantastical world, full of magic and monsters, he may make something of himself. Oh and there's a massive war against werewolf hordes on the mainland. Edgar, now Jon, has a second chance at life. His previous life was reduced to fragments of technical knowledge that come to him in the form of visions. His new home, the Northern Isles, is far removed from the conflict of the mainland for now as he lives in the quiet frontier village of Terra. His new family believes that fate can be changed and destiny overruled but he has no idea. Whether that's true or not, being told by a crazy old lady that his fate starts with him sitting by a rock in the middle of a field seems wrong, but who knows? Maybe she's right but what's the bit about 'await the bite' supposed to mean? Jon soon learns and his life changes forever. What can a young boy who's gained wolven-blood do? Will he be a monster or will he find salvation? Jon was bitten. ********************************************************************************** Welcome to the Northern Isles. My first story posted on here! I already have the outline of the first couple of books planned out and will be posting a new chapter every Tuesday and Friday. The story will be dark at times but I intend to keep things fairly light when I can. I'm aiming for a world that isn't full of sunshine and rainbows but isn't as bleak as it could be. Focusing on friendship, camaraderie, sh*t talking, and adventure.

Inherit
Our protagonist finds himself placed in an unfamilar world; his highly magical studies are put to the test as he tries to integrate into a different, but still magical, universe. This story is not particularly heavy, and may, at times, feel somewhat whimsical. This is intended. If you're looking for a nice trip along with a man whose abilities don't entirely fit into his new home, be sure to give Inherit a try. [Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge!]

The Fallen Ascending
The tale of Michael Ramsey."Who's he?"", you ask.Read it and find out. Story not related to The 8th Day in any manner. This is something different that I thought I'd try out and have some fun with from time to time. No release schedule is promised, so don't expect one. I'll simply work and write on this adventure when the mood strikes me. We may have 100 updates in one day, and not have any updates for 100 days... As for what it actually is?That's S. E. C. R. E. T!(In other words, I'm not certain where this story is going to take me yet. Decide for yourself if you want to follow along on the ride as I uncover where and what it's about as it grows and evolves!)
