《Chronicles of a Dungeon Core》The Storm Approaches

I can’t believe normal people travel in such a manner, I have been riding this blasted animal for 3 days now, and they said it was the fastest horse in Uthaira, but I could quite literally crawl faster than this thing.

If I could just use my teleport spell, I could have been at Llewelyn’s dungeon days ago, but I just don’t know if I can trust anything that relies on [Menu] and that includes my skills or spells. I don’t know if Draco’s ability includes spells and skills, but just in case that it does I don’t want to risk it.

I should have brought the two older slaves that I bought with me, instead of having Two-Twelve pick them up, but I guess that would have only slowed me down further. I should be approaching on Llewelyn’s dungeon soon, so maybe I can return to the comforts of my dungeon in just a few more days…

After arriving in the city that is close to Llewelyn’s dungeon I flash gold around hiring as many adventurers as possible to go through the dungeon. With a group this size Llewelyn should know we mean business, but it will be harder to gauge my strength with everyone else attacking as well.

Llewelyn’s power is almost that of Laura’s so I don’t think any of these adventurers will return, but maybe we can get lucky enough and I can take Llewelyn out before he can tell anyone else about my strength, because if he tells the elders about me, I don’t think it will take them long to find out who I really am.

After only a few days in the dungeon I have grown exceedingly bored, but there are just enough female adventurers that I have managed to keep myself from completely losing my mind. Although I have bought slaves for far less then what it has taken for me to keep them satisfied. This ring really is a sucker punch in my pride as a man…

The horde of adventurers has also dwindled down till it is now just a large group, but these experienced adventurers seem too able to handle themselves quite well. Most of the attractive women are now gone so I have been trying to speed things up a bit when I can, but I still refrain from using any spells or skills.

Adventurer: “We had no way of knowing the dungeon would be this deep…” –The last adventurer says in his dying breath.-

I click my tongue, well it looks like it is just me now, and there is still far too much dungeon for me to handle alone without raising suspicion so I only have two choices. One I can quickly teleport to Llewelyn and hopefully pass it off without being detected, or two I can continue forward though the dungeon by myself and before I make it to Llewelyn they are sure to know something is up.”

Two-Twelve’s PoV

The next morning after taking Martin to the church of Faron I received a message from the church begging me to return, but I am far too busy with the perpetrations for the attack against my dungeon to worry about what is going on at the church now.

Besides I told Ceres I would summon Martin and take him there, but that is it. Everything else is up to them. A few hours later however I receive a message a bit harder to ignore.

Madam Erin: (Are you involved with the matter of what is going on with Faron’s dungeon?)

(I am not sure what you mean. Faron is dead so his dungeon is gone. I am doing like you asked I am keeping my head down and focusing on protecting my dungeon just in case someone wants to retaliate against me for what they think Dyson has done, or what happened with Maric.)

Madam Erin: (That is just it, his dungeon isn’t gone! This morning it reappeared like nothing ever happened, even his secondary dungeon that human cathedral is completely returned. We don’t have Dungeon Core Information anymore to know if it means Faron has returned, but that in itself should prove that he hasn’t. I know Faron roped you into acting as an agent of the humans that worshiped Faron, so I thought you might know something.)

(All I know is that woman that claims to serve one of the old gods told me she had plans of taking over Faron’s religion for the one she serves. If they managed to do something like that though it might just be proof that the one she serves really could possibly be a god.)

Madam Erin: (I know things are strained right now, but as the Archjusticar of the Elders and the connection you have with the church I need to go find out what is going on. If his dungeon is restored what does that mean for his crystal and what about him?)

(My dungeon is a far higher priority right now. If you are curious check it out yourself.)

Madam Erin: (As the Archjusticar this is your responsibility and your dungeon is offered the protection of the Elders!)

(And two Elders are currently dead. Forgive me if I don’t put a lot of trust in those words at the moment. If you do go yourself or send someone, there is a Faron priest by the name of Martin, he was once a dungeon monster so he might be more open to speak with you then the others.)

Madam Erin: (This could be the start of what happened in Shima, so we have to get to the bottom of this before it gets out of hand.)

(Well, good luck.)

I don’t receive another message from Madam Erin, but Lilah tells me someone sent me a message on the communication parchment on the desk. It is from Dyson he asked me to send a [Gate] to the same place I did when I sent him.

I didn’t receive a message about Laura’s death, and he hasn’t even been gone 24 hours yet so what does he need the [Gate] for now…? After I head back to the house and set it up I quickly regret my decision when several women and children come walking through the gate.

The children look quite scarred, but the woman look more in awe. One of the women steps forward and hands me a note.

Sorry, no time, and I am on the move, if you send the children to Tom and tell them they are from me he will know what to do, and if you could put the other two up in your little town for now until I return I haven’t gotten a chance to break them in completely, so I don’t want my stand-in to get ahold of them.

“What is this all about…?”

Woman: “Master said you would take care of us until he returns.”

“I am not his errand boy…”

Woman: “He said he promised to make it up to you once he returns.”

“Are all of you slaves?”

Woman: “Yes, but we are very fortunate our master bought us, he even provided us gold to take care of us until he returns.”

“What about the children? That doesn’t seem his style, and I am definitely sure I am not comfortable sending them to Tom…”

Markus: “You’ll help us right mister?! That ugly man was going to kill me unless my sister would become his slave, and after she was kidnapped by another man he forced us to be his slaves as well just so we didn’t lose our sister!”

“With the slave collars there isn’t much I can do, but I can promise you I will at least get to the bottom of this before sending you off to someone like Tom. Can the two of you take care of the children until I hear back from Dyson, or at worse case until he returns?”

Woman: “That is not what master wanted.”

“I am the one that has to send them off, and I refuse that is my choice. I guess my question is to you then will you take care of your master’s other slaves for him or abandon them?”

Woman: “I wouldn’t want Master mad at me…”

The other older woman then chimes in. “I will do it! I will take care of master’s children!”

“I know there are many reasons for people to becomes slaves, but I don’t agree with it in any way for children, so even though there isn’t much I can do, I promise if you stay with them for now I will at least do what I can. Your master seems like quite the jerk, but he is a reasonable man, maybe I can do something…”

I send Vetala out with the slaves to get them set up at the inn. If I didn’t have enough headaches right now, this is the last thing that I need...I return to the dungeon core room and Lilah informs me of another communication parchment that received a message.

“Now what…?”

Byson: (Master! Quick, the Elders are demanding we meet. Something about Elder Faron reappearing or something! I tried to refuse, but they wouldn’t take no for an answer!)

(How did they contact you? You can’t possibly be receiving Dyson’s messages in [Communication] can you?)

Byson: (I guess because he is wearing the ring acting as someone else, and I am acting as him [Menu] can’t tell I am not Dyson…)

(If you are receiving Dyson’s messages then maybe it was a good idea that we are avoiding the use [Communication]… Just put Dyson’s armor on and I will meet you as soon as I can.)

Belinda: “You are not really going are you…?”

“If they find out one of my monsters is posing as Dyson while he is out doing gods know only what. How do you think they will take that? Especially with Lucille already out for Dyson’s blood as it is.”

Belinda: “But all of this is just too much to be put on your shoulders, what about the attack that is coming?”

“This has something to do with what Ceres is doing I think, so in her roundabout way of doing things this might be how it helps us survive.”

Belinda: “You don’t know that though…”

“You are right, but I can only do the best I know how.”

Belinda: “I am just worried about you…”

“That makes two of us… I know we already warned the girls, but I think it might be a good idea for you to speak with each of them personally to tell them to be careful, I don’t know how much we can trust [Communication] right now. It might be time to warn you brother and father as well, no matter what happens I don’t want to see Gowen dragged into this as well.”

Belinda: “Do you think it is safe…?”

“At the moment I don’t know much that is safe, the bunnies have matters here addressed far better than even I could do, so take the others with you and just be careful. It might not hurt to grab a handful of communication parchments when you go to see your brother, we are starting to run low and I think it is best to use them to speak with everyone for a while instead of [Communication].”

After hugging and kissing Belinda I head to Dyson’s dungeon. We then head to the neutral zone together and even with his armor and helmet on you can tell Byson is quite nervous.

“You are going to have to project Dyson’s cockiness or we are both going to be in deep trouble.”

Byson: “But any one of the Elders could snap me like a twig even with Dyson’s armor.”

“Anyone wanting to harm Dyson could do so, you were summoned to think like Dyson, so I know you can do it. Just remember if you die you don’t get to return to his entourage.”

Although I can’t see his face, that seemed to do the trick in convincing him. We then head into the meeting with the other Elders. Byson takes Dyson’s place next to Lucille and Madam Erin looks at me suspiciously.

Madam Erin: “What are you doing here? I thought you were not interested.”

“Dyson convinced me it was in my best interest to show up.”

Madam Erin: “After having to fight to get him to show up as well?”

Byson: “I just received a few new girls in and I was quite busy breaking them in, so can we get this over with?”

Lucille: “Is that all you ever think about?!”

Byson: “What else is there?”

Draco: “Enough! We have enough to worry about with Faron and Fredrick’s death, and being at each other’s throats is not going to help. Now, Madam Erin, what do you mean Faron’s dungeon has returned?”

Madam Erin: “Everything has returned, just as if Faron didn’t die. His dungeon, all of his secondary dungeons, everything is back. Faron always had his crystals hidden so I can’t be certain his crystals have returned as well, but at least the statues they were hidden in and such have returned.”

Lucille: “To take over his dungeon by placing your own imitation crystal would be one thing, but to replace everything over night? That would take more xp then we all have combined.”

Madam Erin: “As much as we hate to entertain this notion of Two-Twelve’s about the return of the old gods… I just don’t see any other way for this to be possible.”

Draco: “Even if it was true, after all this time. Why now?”

Lucille: “It always comes back to Two-Twelve. I say we do away with him and maybe things will return to the way they were.”

Madam Erin: “You know as well as I do the changes have been coming for a long time now, and we choose to ignore them up till now. Two-Twelve just has a unique way of making us aware of them. If anything we need him alive more than ever.”

Draco: “You are awfully quiet Dyson, you are usually the first to jump in to defend Two-Twelve.”

Byson: “I’m sorry, I was just thinking of a tall slender woman with grade A breasts, dark hair, and piercing eyes…”

Lucille: “Crude as ever I see, but you have a point.”

Byson: “I do…?”

Lucille: “The only thing holding Hecete back from starting her own dungeon was she didn’t want to leave Maric’s dungeon. After he died though I was sure she would have asked to be allowed to form her own dungeon.”

Byson: “Yes, that was what I meant…”

Madam Erin: “For all we know she died protecting Maric, and even if she didn’t they were together a long time, it may take her a while to get over the loss.”

Draco: “Dyson was required to wait for Dungeon Core #400 to become available as well. She could be planning to go after Dungeon Core #15. With the creation of new dungeon cores up in the air, maybe we should get in contact with her and offer her Maric’s number to prevent any unnecessary loss of dungeon cores.”

Madam Erin: “You don’t even know if that would be possible to give her a different number then the one she was originally assigned, and even if it was we have no way of knowing if it would be possible now that [Menu] has stopped producing new cores.”

Lucille: “We can worry about that later, I think Dyson was just trying to change the subject.”

Byson: “We just kind of took over after the old gods disappeared, and now that they are claiming to have returned, right now we might need Two-Twelve as he is the only one that has managed to speak with them.”

Madam Erin: “Two-Twelve already refused to give us a hand in the matter.”

“I think for now our more pressing matter is the person attacking the dungeons while posing as Dyson.”

Draco: “Someone capable of completely reestablishing Faron’s dungeon overnight, if these gods do exist is it not possible they are the ones behind this?”

“The ones I have talked to I far from trust, but even though one of them has not told me quite a bit I don’t think she has outright lied to me, and she said the matter was completely between dungeon cores.”

Lucille: “I find this rather hard to believe, but what I can’t refute is the return of Faron’s dungeon, so in the interest of covering all our bases. You have tried to get them to tell you who was responsible?”

“I don’t think it is that simple, I think there are rules they even have to follow, but yes I have tried.”

Draco: “What of your meeting with Maric, I heard you were to meet with him regarding a lead in the attacks?”

“Maric just gave me names of dungeon cores that you have surely thought of yourself.”

Draco: “So you learned nothing from him?”

“Maric was going to give me a more comprehensive list after returning to his dungeon, but it was immediately after his return that he was killed. I have already explained this all to Madam Erin…”

I was hoping that would get a reaction from Madam Erin, that maybe the reason Madam Erin was acting so strange after Maric’s death was because it wasn’t her sending me the messages, but instead she says.

Madam Erin: “It is possible there was some small detail you might have left out, so it doesn’t hurt to go over it again.”

“That is all there was…”

Draco: “What of the cores Maric mentioned?”

I tell them of the dungeon cores that Maric mentioned.

Lucille: “We have already determined Laura is not the culprit. No matter how much you want her to be.”

“If you have more information I would be glad to hear it, but so far we only have her manipulating [Menu] in the same fashion in the past, and you completely denying that it can be her.”

Lucille: “What about you?! You were the one that actually killed dungeon cores under a different name.”

Byson: “We all know Two-Twelve is far too weak to be able to do something like this even if he wanted to. Besides if he could I am sure Laura would have been on the top of his list.”

Lucille: “That still leaves you.”

Madam Erin: “This is the same argument we had last time, and it gets us nowhere.”

Lucille: “You claimed that Two-Twelve had some sort of ability that would restrict Dyson, if he really is not responsible for the deaths why don’t we just use it on him and we can all sleep better afterwards.”

“It isn’t that simple, and we need all the strength we can get if this person is capable of killing dungeon cores like Faron and Maric without any indication of what’s going on.”

Madam Erin: “And now we have come full circle and are back at square one. As things stand I don’t think we are going to get any further information on this matter like this. As for Faron’s dungeon I have sent one of my monsters to keep an eye on things, so if anything comes from it I will let the rest of you know.”

“If you already sent a monster there, you could of led the meeting with that information, and if you went that far already, was this meeting really necessary?”

Madam Erin: “I think the other Elders can agree that some things should just be handled face to face, and we managed to take a step forward with the existence of these old gods, so perhaps it wasn’t a complete waste.”

Madam Erin then speaks with Draco and Lucille quietly for a few minutes before they both depart leaving just Madam Erin, Byson, and myself in the room. I am waiting on her to leave so I can return Byson to Dyson’s dungeon but she doesn’t appear to be in any hurry.

Madam Erin: “What is the matter Dyson? I thought you were in quite a hurry to break-in those new acquisitions of yours?”

Byson: “I have a bit of business to take care of with Two-Twelve.”

Madam Erin: “Interesting, I would like to hear of this business.”

Byson: “It contains some sensitive information.”

Madam Erin: “We were under agreement that there would be no secrets between us, especially with matters that concerned Two-Twelve.” –She says eying us both rather suspiciously.-

Byson: “It is no matter to concern yourself with…”

Madam Erin: “If it involved Two-Twelve, I believe it does.”

“With the matters we have been dealing with lately, do you really think this is the best place to speaking of such matters?”

Madam Erin: “Fair enough, shall we head to my dungeon then, and discuss this further?”

“I am under quite the time constraint, so I guess we will have to put the matter off till after you have a chance to speak with Madam Erin about it, if it is such a big deal.”

Madam Erin: “No, I insist.” -She says placing one of her massive hands on my shoulder holding me in place.-

Madam Erin then seems to send a message with [Menu].

Byson: “What are you talking about…?” –He says after scanning the message.-

This seems to shock Madam Erin a great deal. “What are you two playing at…? What is going on here?”

“Are you alright…?”

Madam Erin looks around and then says in a lower voice. “Now we really do need to talk…”

Madam Erin then drags me into the hallway in a not to gentle manner, and Byson, unsure what to do just follows along. When she completes the rune on her portal and the portal appears she attempts to push me though but I quickly cast [Blink] and appear behind her.

“I am not going anywhere… You have been acting very strange ever since we received word about Maric’s death.”

Madam Erin: “You said this is not a good place to talk, and perhaps you’re right, but you both have a great deal of explaining to do, and unless you think you can take me, I suggest you step though the portal.”

Byson: “You really think you could stand a chance against me?”

Madam Erin: “While you are trying to protect Two-Twelve from harm? I think I could manage.”

“You can’t even fight here, what are you going on about…?”

Madam Erin: “I want to know where Dyson is at.”

Byson: “What are you going on about I am right here!”

Madam Erin: “Are you sure you want to do this here?”

I am sure Madam Erin has found us out now, but I can’t be for sure with the way she has been acting lately if she is even the real Madam Erin…

“Fine, but not your primary dungeons either, give us a few minutes and then meet us at your daughter’s place.”

Madam Erin: “My daughter…?” -She eyes Byson suspiciously.- “Fine, but if you try to skip out on me, I know how to get to you.” –She then steps through her own portal and it then disappears.-

Byson: “Do you know what you are doing…?”

“Not a clue, but I am sure our cover is blown, and with the way Madam Erin has been acting this was the best I could come up with.”

Byson: “Are you going to tell her then?”

“I don’t think we have much of a choice.”

I then cast [Gate] heading to Madam Erin’s secondary dungeon. I have only been there once, but she said Belinda and I are the only ones to have ever seen it other than her and her monsters, so if this really wasn’t Madam Erin, she wouldn’t know where we were at.

When we arrive though the portal Byson quickly is snatched up by a massive hand and slammed against the wall at least two feet from touching the ground. I have only seen Madam Erin attack once, and that was just a simple punch, but it was enough to break my jaw, and with the strength she slammed Byson to the wall even with Dyson’s armor I am sure he sustained several broken bones.

Madam Erin: “Now you will tell me what the hell is going on, and who the hell this is!”

“Are you sure we can speak here?”

Madam Erin: “You know as well as I do nobody knows about this place, so of course!”

“Then put him down and we can try to explain!”

With Dyson’s armor on I can’t even tell if Byson is ok, and when Madam Erin lets go of him, he crumples to the ground in a heap. I quickly cast a healing spell on him and seems to regain consciousness.

Madam Erin: “Now start talking!”

“After Maric’s death we didn’t know who to trust, even you sounded quite shady though the messages, so when Dyson came to me and told me to keep quiet about it I did.”

Madam Erin: “Keep quiet about what?”

“He went after the ones responsible for killing the other elders and Maric.”

Madam Erin: “He knows who it is?”

“There is a good chance several dungeon cores are involved, but he has a good idea where to start looking.”

Madam Erin: “Tell me everything.”

“I am sorry I can’t…”

Madam Erin: “You are not really in a position to keep it from me.”

“The Madam Erin I know trusts me and Dyson at least to some degree, if you are willing to threaten me to get the information the only explanation for it is you are somehow involved.”

Madam Erin: “Don’t be ridiculous.”

“Then you at least know far more then you are letting on.”

Madam Erin: “I meant what I said, I am just trying to protect you pup.”

“I may not be a very strong dungeon core, but I have managed to scrap by so far. If you didn’t try lying to me then maybe we would have told you what was going on.”

Madam Erin: “After what Laura did to you, I didn’t want you to go chasing after her and getting yourself killed just because she might have a hand in this.”

“I know I am no match for Laura, but that is even more reason for me to do whatever I can do if she indeed is the one doing this.”

Madam Erin: “Then Dyson is going after Laura?”

“He is going after the ones responsible, and if it happens to be that Laura is involved then yes.”

Madam Erin: “Dyson is a very “ends justifies the means” kind of guy, so how many are going to have to pay the price in the process?”

“My only response to that is, who were the ones that made him that way? All I do know is he is our best shot right now, and with two different gods messing around in my life, the death of the elders, Belinda being pregnant, and everything else I will take what I can get.”

Madam Erin: “Just promise me pup that you won’t lie to me again.”

“Like I said, if you didn’t lie to me, then maybe I wouldn’t have had to. I will promise I will continue to do what I think is best, and as long as I can trust you are doing the same I won’t lie to you.”

Madam Erin: “So what is with the Dyson wannabe here?”

“He is one of my monsters filling in for Dyson while he takes care of things, so those responsible don’t know what is going on.”

Madam Erin: “You really had me going when I sent the message to Dyson and he acted like he received it. How did you manage that?”

“I guess it is just an effect of the rings, he is receiving Dyson’s messages.”

Madam Erin: “I thought the rings would be a big help to the new dungeon cores starting out, but the more effects that seem to be creeping in are starting to get rather worrisome.”

“At first that was how we thought Belinda might have got pregnant, but I have never worn one to bed.”

Madam Erin: “Well surely that would be beyond what the ring could do…”

“It worked for Zoey and Roxy…”

Madam Erin: “Your boss monsters? You got them pregnant?”

“Of course not, Zoey wore the ring and got Roxy pregnant.”

Madam Erin: “Then have you tried using the ring?”

“Belinda is already pregnant, so there isn’t really a way for me to…” –Madam Erin seems to be deep in thought for a seconds so I continue.- “Anyway, how did you know Dyson was a fake?”

Madam Erin: “I was the dungeon core to train him, and have keep an eye on him all these years, so of course I noticed.”

“You mean the one that failed to train him? I thought we did a really good job though, and even if the appearance isn’t quite 100% I thought him being in the full armor would of made up for it.”

Madam Erin: “So he looks like Dyson as well?”

After I nod Byson removes the helmet, shakes his head, and gives a cheesy grin.

Madam Erin: “I think I would have been easier fooled if you at least kept the helmet off, he sure has Dyson’s facial expressions down…”

“But seriously what tipped you off? We need to make sure the others don’t find out. That is as long as you don’t tell them about it.”

Madam Erin: “He was far too passive, but even then he could have been having an off day, or just bored. The main reason was when you have learned as much about someone as I have about Dyson over the years there are small things you do unconsciously, and he just didn’t do them.”

“Like what.”

Madam Erin: “Like when Dyson sits in a chair if there is nothing in front of him he leans back on his right hip, but like at the neutral zone he always leans forward on his elbows. Just stuff like that.”

“I don’t even pick up on small stuff like that on Belinda…”

Madam Erin: “You would be surprised, I am sure you have and just don’t realize it, but if she stopped doing it you would notice. Besides after Dyson really started growing in power while among the humans I have kept a close eye on him, so that is 100 years of watching his little mannerisms.”

“Not even Dyson’s girls have noticed anything though…”

Madam Erin: “That is because he never keeps one of those girls for more than a year, but you mean he is actually staying in Dyson’s dungeon as well?”

“We have no way of knowing how much of [Menu] we can trust, after all the ring was enough to fool it into sending Dyson’s messages to Byson so what else could have been compromised.”

Madam Erin: “Someone using his name must have bothered him far more then I imagined if he would even think about another man touching his women while filling in for him.

“Maybe he is thinking of replacing them once he returns, after all he has already started sending slaves he purchased while he was away like he is on some shopping trip or something.”

Madam Erin: “That sounds more like Dyson, but even the girls he retires he is really picky about who gets them when he is done with them.”

“Byson is essentially a copy of Dyson, so maybe he just figured that was enough. You don’t think we will have any problems with Byson moving forward though do you?”

Madam Erin: “I imagine you stuck around at the neutral zone waiting for me to leave, because he doesn’t haven Dyson’s skills or spells am I right?”

“That’s right…”

Madam Erin: “Then in general conversation I think you will be alright, but if he has to ever prove he is Dyson, I am sure it will fall apart instantly.”

“That means you will keep it a secret then?”

Madam Erin: “For now, but if Dyson starts killing dungeon cores left and right I will tell the others what I know.”

“Now, I really do need to return to my dungeon. The one that serves the old god that is taking over Faron’s churches told me one of the dungeon cores is going to attack me because of what is happening with the death of Faron, Fredrick, and Maric, so I need to prepare as much as possible.”

Madam Erin: “Even with the protection from the Elders?”

“I have yet to see this so called protection, and as I said earlier, so far she hasn’t lied to me yet.”

Madam Erin: “Are you going to be alright?”

“Well again according to the old gods I will somehow manage.”

Madam Erin: “Wait here for a second…” –Madam Erin then trundles off though the tunnel.-

Byson and I wait in silence until she returns with several dwarves, a handful of imps, a few creatures that look like a cross between an imp and a goblin, but even if they only are knee high they have a maliciousness to them that makes them seem far stronger than even the toughest hobgoblin.

Following up behind Madam Erin is also three of the very beautiful succubus women one of which is the one that calls Madam Erin her mother, the very motherly looking succubus named Elexia. I should be immune to charm effects, and although I find them quite beautiful for some reason Elexia still makes my heart race in her presence.

Elexia: “I am sorry mother, it has just been to many years since anyone has seen combat, so this was all we could muster.”

Madam Erin: “Listen up everyone. I am going to send you to give Two-Twelve here a hand. I expect you to follow his orders as if they are my own. If he really is about to face an attack from another dungeon core there is a great chance many of you will not return. I won’t force anyone, but if you are willing I ask you to do me this favor.”

A few of the dwarves hit chest with one fist and nod while speaking in the dwarven language, and the imps and other little creatures just snarl, growl, and some even howl. The other two succubus move forward and nod their heads.

Succubus: “Don’t worry mistress you can count on us.”

Madam Erin: “This is the best I can do pup, all of these monsters are willing to risk their lives to help you, but they won’t be bound to your dungeon, so treat them with respect, and they will give you their all.”

“Are you sure?”

Madam Erin: “I am sure I might catch it from your wife for letting you take home a pair of succubus, but if a dungeon core is really going to come for you then you are going to need all the help you can get.”

Byson: “Can I…?”

Madam Erin cuts him off. “No, you or the real Dyson cannot borrow the succubi. I know you were going for him to fill in for Dyson, but did you really have to give him his flaws as well?”

“It just sort of happened.”

Elexia: “Take care of my daughters, and I promise they will take care of you.”

“That is what I am afraid of…”

Elexia: “Don’t worry we have had a long time to get control over our urges, so I promise they won’t try anything like that.”

Succubi: “Unless you want us to!~” –they say in unison and giggle.-

Elexia: “Girls!”

Succubi: “Sorry…”

This is going to be the hardest part, but what Madam Erin said was true, we can’t afford to turn down any help at the moment, I thank Madam Erin, and we discuss details on what to do with the survivors after the attack.

I then send Byson back to Dyson’s dungeon and after shipping the monsters to the depths of my dungeon I bid Madam Erin and Elexia bye, and head home myself.
