This week had been quite hectic. The very first subject that we had was gym, we already have our homework even though class just started, I have to report about some stuff, I almost got ran over three times, I collapse whenever I got home, all of my classmates are still calling me master…

Sorry for the short chapter, this is the limit of my skills. I still have to get up early tomorrow.

Thankfully, the little girl helps me wake up at exactly 3:00am, I just wish she stops staring at me from the closet.

Also, for those who voted for Tyler's special chapter, sorry. It seems that almost everyone wanted the norm chap.

And 9 people wanted me to quit~ Hahaha! I'll quit when I can't take it anymore~ or if I become too busy with college... Damn education!

Volume 1 Chapter 13: Eccentric

~Nero’s PoV~

Tyler's story took longer than I had anticipated and with everything that had happened, the shock has lessened quite a bit.

But still… It's kind of hard to believe at our current situation.

It was too long, so I barely able to listen to the whole thing.

Curse my short attention span…

To summarize everything that happened;

Tyler, Lily and Leah were suddenly summoned/called by a god of some sort, while they were on their way to the hospital to visit me. God talked vaguely about some stuff and sent them to different worlds without giving them any useful information, except for the fact that they can return to earth when they complete their respective duties.

When Tyler regained his consciousness, he was summoned to be a hero for the Human country, [Pasliuque]. Lily and Leah were no long with him… He made "Going back home" as his goal, he worked hard to become stronger.

Tyler was very worried towards the two of them, since they already lost one friend(me).

But he was more worried about Lily though, "As his brother, it was natural to be worried about his little sister" he said.

Tyler is a doting brother toward his little sister…

And it seems that both of us arrived at the same time.

I wonder how's that possible. Is the time at Earth and Veran different? I suck at math, so I didn't calculate it.

Anyway, I'm happy for Tyler that he could go home.

I also wish to go back but I don't know how, maybe there's magic for world traveling. I am a god after all~

But still… some god just threw them into different worlds? Surely, I thought I was the only god in this world.

If I ever saw that um… god…? person…? thing…? Anyway, I'll make him pay for this!

~Tyler's PoV~

Nero began laughing to himself as a dreadful aura slowly leaks out from him. The word Dangerous filled my mind as I immediately stood up, distanced myself from him and placed my hands on my sword. I did all of those actions were somewhat automatic thanks to my skill Battler Instincts.

I was frozen in my battle stance… the feeling of fear slowly crept towards me as I feel the chills on my back… I was sweating heavily even though the room was cold… is the thing in front of me a monster? I started doubting if the thing in front of me was really Nero.

As if it were all a lie, the dreadful aura that surrounds him suddenly vanishes.

He looks towards me using those glowing red eyes while giving a bright and cheerful smile. He said;

"Hahaha~ Sorry about that, I can't really control that skill as it will sometimes activates on its own" [Nero]

"………E-Eh? What the hell was that!?" [Tyler]

Seriously, this guy… that cheerful smile is also scary when you showed it after that skill!

Nero is a very eccentric. Unless you know him to an understandable degree, you'll only see him as an idiot or a mentally unstable person. He even said those words himself, but if you ask his friends and classmates, they'll say to you that this guy is very smart.

Looking at him more clearly, he really looks like a child in that form… a demonic child at that. No, demonic child might even pale in comparison. Hmm? wait, why does he look like that?

"I just noticed this but, why do you look like your game character?" [Tyler]

"Oh this? Is it my turn to tell a story~?" [Nero]

Nero looked at me with eyes filled with some kind of sparkles.

But those eyes suddenly turned dark and scary…

"Are you sure about that? you won't regret it? your views of me will change you know" [Nero]

Nero spat out those words with a serious tone… His usual playful demeanor is completely gone.

This guy is serious. I swallowed my saliva when I saw that rare side of him. I nodded slightly and prepared myself.

"Whahaha~ alright then foolish mortal! I shall tell my tale!" [Nero]

He smiled and spoke in a cheery tone. Destroying that previous image of him as if it wasn't real in the first place.

I don't know what to say…

Is this real? Are you serious? This is unbelievable! I don't know any more! What the hell?!

A… a lesser god you say… gave one of his characters life… killed an army of thousands…

You're kidding right!? This has to be a joke!!

"I'm not joking" [Nero]

Saying that, Nero casts his gaze on the floor. He looks downhearted…

"Looks like you're still shocked by this… So I'll help you" [Nero]

With his gaze still on the floor, he continued.

"What do you think about killing a person?" [Nero]

"…"

I… I don't know. Killing monsters was already hard for me even when I got used to it, it didn't felt right. Even with the help of a skill, it never felt good. Taking away the life of others is a bit…

……………

I gave my best to answer honestly…

"Is that so…?" [Nero]

As he said that, his lonely figure stood up… He looks depress as if he lost something important to him.

His hair was blocking his eyes… but as if they were peeking at me, it slightly showed itself under his dark expression.

"Hearing all of that… what do you think of me? Are you still willing to be my friend?" [Nero]

"You really are an idiot aren't you? Of course! You’re my best friend right? I know you're not doing stuff like that just for fun!" [Tyler]

No matter how much I think of it, killing is just… but I can never hate Nero, as his actions were all justified. He did save this kingdom right. I guess this was the [Mysterious Hero] that saved everyone.

Nero looked away and muttered something to himself…

Because my skills, I heard those words. Those words were "Thanks…"

But, again, as if everything didn't even happened.

Nero looked at me and cheerfully smiled, his usual playful demeanor is back.

"Whahaha! As expected of my best friend! As a reward, I shall help you!" [Nero]

"You better be!" [Tyler]

Seriously… this guy is too eccentric.

But this is the person whom I looked up to.

I still haven't repaid him for saving my sister that time…

~Nero's PoV~

We continued to talk about irrelevant stuff after that…

Honestly, I'm quite thankful for Tyler. Talking to him about this and that helped me drop the heavy feeling in my chest.

I glanced at the window to see that the sky was slightly colored in orange… We over stayed here haven't we…

I think Feru and the three knights are still waiting for us… I deeply apologize for making them wait.

Both Tyler and I panickedly got out of the room, to which we were greeted by four angry faces…

After we apologized to the four, we introduced ourselves to each other and explained some things.

Of course, I also told Tyler to keep my identity a secret for now.

I trust him that he won't just spill the beans.

After which, we went our separate ways.

Tyler and his party will head back to the placed that they booked; it seems like the princess of Pa- Pasliqu? [Pasliuque], is also staying there.

As for me and Feru, I decided to head to the forest and try and kill some monsters…

It kinda feels weird now, even though I don't feel anything when I kill, I still feel reluctant.

I'm still thankful for that weird feeling though. I just hope those nightmares would stop.

I'll meet Tyler tomorrow; he was stationed to be a guard outside during the council's meeting with the royalties.

I wonder just how does one fight using a scythe?

When I asked Feru that, she answered "It's just like dancing" and showed me how.

With the nameless scythe on her hands, Virgo. She annihilated a group of goblins that attacked us.

I didn't know Feru was this strong, or better yet, I didn't know she could easily kill them.

I was hoping that she'll somehow have a hard time fighting, and then I'll swoop in and help her.

I'm sure I'll look cool in front of her and- Ahem, getting back on topic…

Just as Feru said, she looked like she was dancing. With each of her graceful movement, the scythe would spin around her and slice everything up in to bits and pieces… I was captivated by Feru… No wait! That was the charm aura right?

After that, I explained Feru about my skill called Cold Hearted. While I was explaining it to her, I noticed that she has this pained expression on her…

"Are you alright? You can go back if you want" [Nero]

"N-No, I'm alright, I'm fine" [Feru]

She said, though it sounded like her answer was for her to convince herself.

I thought that she was just tired, so I let her do what she wants.

I continued explaining the skill to Feru. Thought it just might be me, I think this skill is like those cliché things that I've read.

You know those kinds, A super great and op power, but it has its draw backs, like becoming unconscious and rampaging perhaps~

I need to know this skill a little better; it might become useful in the future or just help me control this uncanny ability.

I ordered Feru to stop me in case I might lose consciousness and rampage or something. I sure she'll be able to stop me.

Her level is higher than mine. Even though I completed many quest, I barely leveled.

In comparison, Feru barely left the house but she already surpassed my level.

I guess all the exp that I gained will be shared with her? I don't know.

But just to be safe, I unequipped [Zodiac] a place it in my inventory.

I Activated Cold Hearted…
