The story in itself was horrific,the emperor had walked through a lot of hardships,but always pulled through in the end turning his previous mistakes into lessons instead which the whole empire witnessed and learned while on his reign.Of course the emperor also had his bad moments too at one point he seemed to have caused a minor inflation throughout his empire a few corrupt nobles had started to exploit their weak citizens while guards slowly started to turn into bandits robbing the weak.

Many things both surprising and outrageous happened while he was on his reign as the emperor,multiple times a few noble families would group up and demand to de-crown the emperor calling him incompetent as the ruler and each of these times the emperor would bellow his strength reminding the whole empire who he was in the end...not a push over that much is true.

After the death of his first wife the emperor seemed to have gotten very little interest towards woman in general,his love for his first wife seemed very sturdy clinging on his heart like a steel chain his mind only thinking about his empire and its state also making it a new mission to prepare malkarin as the next emperor of the empire the time he spent reigning the empire completely alone was called the "cold age" the reason peopled called it as such was because of the emperors lack of emotions and coldness he showed whenever speaking or participating in a meeting,the death of his wife obviously changed him magnificently giving him more then a few mental issues then he could cope with by himself.

So it was obviously also a big surprise when the emperor finally announced that he was going to marry a second time !

His announcement had been incredibly sudden,the empire wasn't prepared for it and felt puzzled of what was going on some felt excited,some were worried while others didn't even seem to care all too much and just listened.

But the biggest surprise that had yet to come was the identity of the person the emperor was going to marry no one knew who it was before hand it almost seemed illusive and made up at the same time when the news came out not even the most intimate and closely held people in the castle knew who it was that the emperor took a liking to inevitably generating a lot of gossip and conversations throughout the entire castle as everyone tried to guess who it was firstly pulling the most famous and beautiful or most noble and elegant woman,truly it seemed to be a time when the empire was bustling to its most capacity and when the emperor finally decided to disclose who it was that he was going to marry...

Was a simple room maid !

Yes,sera's birth mother at the time was actually not a noble or someone famous,but she was just a simple room maid whose duty was to clean the castle everyday and keep it tidy.

The news shook the entire empire and not only the empire some of the neighboring nations were also evenly baffled by the identity of this woman who clearly was just a ordinary person or as in their meaning a commoner which the emperor was going to marry.

People at first obviously reacted very negatively,comparing this second woman to the first empress was like comparing heaven and earth these two people seemed just the polar opposite to each other as they were people from a completely different background or maybe even dimensions one rich and noble while the other poor and ordinary,the only reason sera's mother was allowed to be a maid in the royal castle seemed to be because she had exceptional strength and stamina for work purposes and also striking beauty which would give more elegance to the royal castle,the job seemed to be very selective on who is chosen to clean the castle I would imagine that it would also pay much more then a ordinary maid,but that wasn't important.

In either way,people were getting confused,anxious and a bit agitated,they all wanted to know why a commoner like her was chosen to be the emperors wife,the complaints really came mostly from the noble families as they felt incredibly insulted towards their noble blood there seemed to be hundreds maybe even thousands of better candidates for the emperors wife then that ordinary castle maid,people even protested towards this ridiculous marriage,but even so the emperor was firm on his decision and he wasn't alone either,the military force of the empire which was under the emperors full control didn't protest against the idea and only followed the emperor respecting his own decisions the admiral of the army scar's father at the time was even happy for his own friend that he started to open up to someone again,he wasn't against it to the least and probably cared about the emperor and his mental health more then the background of that so called wife he was going to wed,because the emperor had such a wide range of power from either social connections or military the nobles couldn't do anything,but shut up about the marriage and let it take its course.

But once again there were obviously still people who were dissatisfied by the decision mainly the nobles of course who decided that since they couldn't do anything to the emperor and make him cancel the marriage,they were going to bring the argument towards the so called future wife of the emperor instead.

Sera's mother...she is a character in this empire that seems to be the most illusive and mysterious,the only thing I really know about her is that her name was seraphine.

There seemed to have been a lot of trouble and incidents happening concerning this case as the nobles constantly tried to search or call for sera's mother,but the emperor at the time seemed to have already predicted for something like that to happen which is why he also constantly protected seraphine behind his back he hid her very well at some point and even assigned her many knights who were previously the knights that had protected the first queen and failed,these knights at the time were already back to their high military rank of a royal guard impressively climbing all the way back up from the foot soldier rank through their refined skill and achievements,these people also seemed to relatively committed and royal as they had no opinion on who the emperor was going to marry only thinking that they were going to protect this person with their own lives no matter what giving seraphine a lot of respect as it seems.

The person herself seraphine sera's mother didn't seem to have a very big opinion on the marriage at the time no....rather there was no opinion to be heard really she was protected and hidden to the point of almost being invisible and untouchable when people or noble guests would see her she would be generally seen walking in the most expensive and beautiful dress strolling around the castle showing a polite smile and gesture with her royal guards closely following along,to talk with seraphine people would generally need more then 10 check ups a few investigations to be made clear if that person wasn't anyone harmful to the empress,it didn't matter who it was be it noble or normal person the routine always had to be made without a question making it even more harder to know the agenda of the empress as she also never really talked with anyone inside the castle all too much other then her royal guardsmen who were incredibly tight lipped at the time not daring to speak any word concerning inside royal family matters.

Through this alone it showed that the emperor at the time was still very paranoid and anxious,he seemed to have found his love for this second woman and the general opinion here was also that seraphine the once ordinary maid also held deep feelings of love towards the emperor,but as I said before her opinion was never really very clear on the matter she hadn't said anything to make the population of the empire assume she liked him or disliked him,it could have even been that she was held against her will,but knowing the emperor just from the things I had heard and how he acted,I would really not see him as a person to hold a woman against her will.

Even if he did love her to the core so much as that he couldn't separate from her,he seemed to be a more respectable type tightly committed towards the concept of marriage in general,even when he had his first wife he had never taken in a extra concubine or a call girl to satisfy his needs making me believe that he valued love and family more then temptation and desire,the acts he had done up until now make him out to be a very decent person in fact someone who is very fitting to be a emperor with strength that could be fate defying on its own even able to seal the gate through other realms through some mysterious and powerful method.

Thinking of the emperor as someone weak would only be incredibly foolish even with my time ability I am not confident enough to say that I can take him on if it got to that point,obviously I never really considered to fight him,but I did consider a lot of the times to go against the imperial family since most of my actions needed to be done while crossing swords with this particular family.

I sighed...thinking about the emperor was only making me more anxious to really meet him at one point..

Anyways,back to the topic at hand,the nobles who had made a plan to question seraphine at the end utterly failed with no surprise,the amount of security that was involved was just too much for the nobles to really handle the royal guards by themselves were incredibly influential people they had two times in a row made their way back to their original rank as a royal guardsman their rank alone was equal to that of a marquis who is control of a major city making it very hard for the nobles to actually pull away the guards without actually threatening them or bribing them their conviction was also something to be said as they devoted everything they got towards their new empress finally even become good friends with her after a long while of getting to know each other only strengthening this bond.

Time went on very quickly after another 6 fully months or half a year later the official wedding ceremony began,throughout this time the castle and its nobles were at the highest point of their activities they didn't give up after a single attempt and only pushed further every time with more elaborate plans,but still nothing ever seemed to have worked,the emperor was just too prepared and always a step ahead of everything,it seems like that year it was also the year were most of the noble families were taken by the imperial family for some kind of offense that needed to be punished,it was said that half of these cases were also mysteriously dropped for some reason,the soon to be empress seraphine at the time seemed to have surprisingly intervened in a few of these cases and asked the emperor to stop which he seemed to have done following his future wifes good advise obediently like a good man.

The few noble families who were spared were endless thankful towards the new empress gaining their favor,she didn't seem to have said much to them afterwards and only returned their thanks with a smile and nothing else.

Finally after the wedding ceremony came and ended a new age started,the emperor was once again happy smiling like a fool regaining his love after all these years stopping the "cold age" entirely while once again spending time with the person who he loved the most,that particular person seraphine also seemed to have been happy as it was recorded that she smile and always laughed in the presence of the emperor looking at him with her loving eyes...

-A real happy ending at the time huh...then why its so shitty now ? I wonder

I thought to myself throughly imaging the wedding ceremony between these two people while going over the general story inside my head,it was tragic...the emperor was truly unlucky or more fittingly said "fated" to be in such a situation,it made me feel pity towards this emperor more so my mood had also suddenly gone down very badly as my steps started to get faster every second as I continued to look down onto the paved stone ground through this endless night not surprising really I ended up bumping with someone while walking like this aimlessly indulged in my thoughts.

-Hey ?! Watch were you're going you jackass !

The person shouted out rudely,only after the bump and the shout did I finally start registering the person in front of my as I raised my head looking at the fat face of this person staring at me furiously with anger.

Glancing around I only now noticed that he wasn't the only person here as a few other people who saw what happened started to gather...

Lets just say that the look on their faces wasn't very friendly...

No,they definitely wanted to rob me.
